Used my old sync module and paired up nicely. I've been using Blink since it first came out. So, I am grandfathered in on the free plan. From what I read the paid service is not as expensive as some other plans out there. Image quality is great, and I paired it up to an indoor cam so whenever the doorbell rings it sounds through the indoor cam.

The system’s motion detection is great. All the connectivity options are really good. My family is connected as well, so everyone can monitor who’s at the door from anywhere! App is easy to navigate also. Really good monthly subscription price too!

For the first month or so everything was running smoothly but after the free trial ended, I began having issues. The camera constantly disconnects from my WiFi and the motion detection is terrible, it can go a whole day without a single notification, even after changing the batteries. I’m officially done with this product and am looking for a replacement.

I’m really sorry to hear that you've had problems with it losing its Wi-Fi connection and not sending notifications. These issues often happen together because a weak Wi-Fi signal can make the camera go offline. To help improve the connection, please try rebooting your Wi-Fi router, make sure your doorbell is close to the router, and check the Wi-Fi signal strength. Also, ensure that the doorbell is using a 2.4 GHz network for better performance. If these steps do not work please feel free to contact Blink Customer Service directly at 1-833-392-5465. I love being able to keep an eye on the front area of my home. Especially with these dumb neighbors and low lives in this neighborhood. If you live in a row home in the hood, you definitely can benefit from having a device like this on your property.

You'll Probably Subscribe Anyway, Save Some Money

That'll come in handy if something awful happens, and the offenders don't happen to remove the sync module or flash drive. This product is affordable because they want your money from the subscription service, which you get used to in the unavoidable free trial. The service will blow up your phone with alerts until you adjust some settings... We wound up getting the subscription service, against my input, and that was a pain to set up. I don't hate the Blink system, I just hate the way it shoves you into ANOTHER subscription service.

I even get notifications whenever motion is detected or the doorbell is pressed. I have yet to replace the batteries, and every single setting is customizable. Definitely worth the money!
