Though i could hook it up to the door bell power like the Ring doorbell but that's not how it works. If you have a busy from door you will have to change it the batteries fairly quick. Other than that everything else is good. Now if your in an apartment and only have batteries then yes this will work great.

Very clear and voice alert lets you know someone is in the immediate area of the set up. Pairs easily with all of our other AMAZON DEVICES. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Smile for the Front Door Camera

The mounting plate is essential, especially if you’re dealing with a 90’ degree wall to the left of your front door, with limited mounting space. Before you do a final installation, I recommend power on the unit first, setup your cameras and then “dry fit” checking your viewing area and height before you install permanently.
