Having our entrance on a non living floor this is a must have. Allows us to make contact with who's at the door prior to heading downstairs. Great way for when we are not home to allow us to monitor the front door.

I thought it would be like my friend’s—she has the hardwired version. It senses people approaching the door and “turns on” so you can see a lighted ri g around the doorbell and know you are being recorded. This does not, or I haven’t set it up properly. I have to open the app from my phone and it takes a bit of time to connect to the internet. By then if someone takes a package they are long gone. Thats why I got this doorbell—to check on/prevent package theft.

Regarding the recording lag you've noticed, this can sometimes be improved by:
Ensuring your WiFi signal is strong at the doorbell location
Checking that your Sync Module 2 is positioned optimally between your router and doorbell
Using the local storage option via the Sync Module 2, which can provide faster access to recordings
