Unboxing the device was easy and all the contents were organized in a logical way. Set up was simple. I downloaded the app on my phone and the app walked me through creating a new account in about a minute. Even through this is an amazon owned company they did not require having or linking my amazon account to get this set up which was nice. You can link your amazon and Alexa accounts, but it is not required. After account creation I was able to connect the doorbell simply by scanning the QR code on the back of the device with my phone. The next steps walked me through how to install the doorbell outside my home. I had a few issues physically setting this up outside my home. I would have liked the tutorial to display the size of the drill bit that should be used for the included mounting screws. I ended up guessing correctly but others may not be so lucky. The second issue I had after mounting the back was getting the doorbell attached. The backing appears like it should just slide on but I had a tough time getting everything to line up exactly and stay on the base. Once it was on it stayed with no movement. Lastly this doorbell will work wired or with batteries. The batteries are just simple AA. So, no rechargeable batteries for this unit. Once installed I received notifications to my phone almost in real time either on Wi-Fi or on my cellular network. The picture was clear on both Wi-Fi and cellular network and there is a night mode which works well. FYI: this unit will require either a $3 or $10 subscription to get extended features like cloud saves and motion detected recording. It comes with a 30-day trial so you will start with these features but once it ends you only get live view streaming and no recording features. There is not a feature to locally save recordings, so the paid cloud subscription is your only option with this unit. If you just need this as a doorbell then no subscription will be fine but if you want to also use this as part of a security system you will need to subscribe to get the full feature set.

Didn’t even take it out of the box. Bought the one with the sync module and was going to add this as a second camera for our other door, but could not get it to connect to their servers. Same with the Blink mini. Bought a no name brand and within 3 steps had it working and able to see images clearly. Will not buy another Blink product again.

Worst quality of any battery camera system i have ever purchased wated $50 not even worth the hassle to return.

Dont buy it. It will work fine for aboit a month. It is extremely difficult to reconnect this to the internet if it ever loses connection. Not worrh the money. Their customer service at blink is hardly any help at all.

I had high hopes for this device. I settled for it as my Best Buy was out of stock of the one I really wanted. Spent 1+ hours trying to make this work. Camera would not attach to mounting plate. I had others try and nobody got it. I went to another store, and purchased the product I wanted in the first place, as I already had my doorbell disconnected.

Cool doorbell. 3rd party installer sucked because he never showed up. Then Geek Squad: Derek came to the rescue. He was awesome!

I'm a fan of Blink products already having a couple of their cameras covering my back yard. One of the appeals of the Blink cameras when I first got those two cameras was the free 2GB cloud storage which leads to my number one complaint about this doorbell camera. You get a 30 day free trial of their cloud storage and then you're paying for yet another monthly plan. Why not offer up a local storage option like Arlo does with their base station? Or better yet, work with Apple Home Kit? OK, that aside, this camera is pretty good. Picture quality is above average and night vision is outstanding. The doorbell feature is plenty loud as well. However, even though I set up activity zones they do nothing. Except at 1:37am when it records essentially nothing for about a minute. I'm not getting any notifications of movement detected nor recordings unless someone rings the doorbell. Meanwhile, my now two year old previous gen Blink cameras work perfectly detecting movement and notifying me of said movement. I am using the wireless option and Blink includes two lithium Energizer batteries to get you started. Pairing to my Blink hub was pretty straight forward. The physical installation proved to be a bit problematic. I drilled the holes and installed the back plate easy enough. installing the doorbell unit itself to the backplate was not so easy. The instructions in the app say press the top portion to the plate and pull down to securly install it. It took me about 20 minutes to get it to attach properly. I'm not looking forward to battery change time. Overall, this is a decent doorbell camera if you're willing to live with its limits.

It's a good product, however the subscription seems expensive to me.

If you have a membership this is a great product if you dont then its worthless. They dont even provide a 15 seconds snapshot video. The app sometimes takes forever to chime. No SD card slot. I regretted buying this product after the trial ran out. Not buying this brand again.

great for checking whos at the door and for deliveries. my first smart camera device but it definitely wont be my last.

Nickle and diming is the new way of making money from customers. If you do not have a subscription you cannot record and view at the same time. Then what is the point of these cameras is you cannot access basic features. Greedy and deceptive process. Should have expect these from the richest Lex luthor Jeff Bezos Baldy.

Check for when your package arrives and make sure no critters are hanging around when you need to open the front door!

Great ring bell camera, I love that that picks up movement very fast. Also the speaker is very good and loud enough.

the first week it worked very well, after that it stopped working.

Looks and feels very cheap. I recently bought a ring doorbell camera to replace my blink camera. I really don’t like it . Very upset I used my Best Buy rewards on this . Ugh
