Overall, a decent choice. On opening the package, everything was well laid out and packed quite tightly. Install was simple. Download the app and it walked right through the wired installation process. From open box to mounted operational system was maybe 10 minutes. Easy money. One very cool aspect of this device is that it can tie into your existing wired home doorbell. The installation was simple. It came with a backplate that you simply wired your two existing wires into, mount to the wall and then place the camera on. Very cool. While I love this feature, my dogs HATE it but it's nice to be anywhere in the house and know someone just pushed doorbell without having your phone near you to know. Nice feature. The app is fairly straightforward and simple and offers a decent suite of tools. However compared to the Ring app, this one seems a little light weight but it is certainly serviceable. The only couple issues I have is that the Blink product is a sister company to Ring, both under the Amazon umbrella. That said, I had a Ring doorbell camera at my other house and in order to use the neighborhood feature, it took me to the Ring app. I had to do some finagling to get the 2 apps setup in the correct new neighborhood. Deal breaker? No, just seemingly unnecessarily hassle. The second minor issue I have is that I can't get into live mode from the app for some reason. The setting show that it is indeed wired into my power, but the "camera icon" that the help page shows is nowhere to be found on my app. I un-installed and re-installed to the latest version and still no "camera icon". Everything on the internet shows that camera icon, but for some reason, I do not. I have submitted a support ticket but have not heard anything back yet. For the sake of this review, I will offer the benefit of the doubt that it can get resolved but it is disappointing. In all, a decent choice and I would recommend to a friend.

Got the get the Blink - Video Doorbell for my parents front door; they're still living in the past so thought I'd bring them to the 21st century. My father isn't a technical person when it comes to technology so I had to make sure this was simple for him and also easy for me to install. Sure enough setup was simple and use was easy enough for my techphobic father. What's in the Box: The Blink Video Door Bell Mounting Plate Removal Tool 2 Lithium AA batteries Setup; Setup was really simple, just download the app and follow the onscreen instructions. It mainly consist of signing up for an account, verifying your account, scanning the video door bell and making sure you connected your door bell to your wifi. Use: Use is simple enough, once someone presses the door bell you get alert on your phone to switch over to the app and view or communicate with the door bell. Video Quality worked well in the day but also pretty clear at night. My door light was lit so that probably contributed to the good video quality. Viewing the person on the app was simple as touching the notification and also talking with them pressing the mic button Summary: If you already are new or in the Blink eco system this is a no brainer go with this door bell camera. if you're already in another eco system I would say go with that same brand.

Super good! Bought it as a surprise for my family and they absolutely love it! We have been looking for some home security stuff for awhile and everyone around here seems to be $100-200 a month so this is a great cheaper alternative! super easy set up- did have some trouble installing it but that was just user error- lol. 10/10 recommend!

This has been a decent doorbell camera, especially considering the price. The picture is clear and it has good sensitivity. On the negative side, I had to return the first unit a day after it was installed because a rainstorm left the camera foggy. Fortunately covered by the Best Buy plan. It is also sometimes is slow to let you know it has been triggered by the motion detector. That may be my slow internet.

We are very satisfied with our Blink doorbell. It was very easy to install and setup. Downloading the app and getting started wasn't too complicated. I did have to figure out how to reduce the sensitivity so that I wouldn't get notifications every time the wind blew. But now it is working perfectly. Video is nice and clear. Notifications come in as soon as someone approaches the house. We plan on buying more Blink products. Also, looks like the monthly subscription price won't be too bad. I would recommend to family and friends.

I had super high hopes for Blink....... Installation Just Ok...... I wished it would follow existing hole pattern but it did no so I had to drill more holes in my stucco. But it did not so I had to drill more holes. Also the rear of the mount did not have enough space or depth to hide the wires so I had to improvise and make a plastic spacer from a zip tie that has a plastic washer where a screw can be used on. This created enough space for me to mount the device to the wall. Set up Easy... I bought the blink module to compliment this doorbell and setup was seamless and easy. Downloaded the android app. Walked through everything and it was all good. Operation Not bad. User interface was easy to use Events were easy to scroll through and pick and look through. Filters were good and easy to use. I take issue to not being allowed to take screenshots. Everytime I tried it said this function was not allowed. For the most part it caught and differentiated between rings and motion pretty good. Although I was surprised it did not catch Amazon Fresh delivering my groceries this evening... Mmmmmmm. Might have been a fluke. "Arming" and dis"arming" function is neat. Lag was minimal. Both Wifi and 4G LTE was minimal lag. Video resolution. Not so great in my opinion.. Blink could have done better here. Night images in low light was a bit blurry even at highest resolution Aperture field of vision also could have been wider and taller. This area was were I was let down by Blink. I thought that the image would be much clearer and field of view would be greater. Video storage Locally I have 64 GB USB attached to he blink module and several days of continuous use only made a 1% dent in the storage. So its compression is probably pretty good. Was able to integrate with Alexa pretty easily. Overall I would recommend this if you are looking for a budget doorbell that does not need cloud storage this would be the way to go.

I have two houses. For the first house, I installed Google surveillance around the house, it all works well. I takes it for granted. For the second house, I saw Amazon Blink, since the price is much more reasonable, so I decided to give it a try. I bought blink doorbell, and did not install it in time, so it is after 15 days of return policy. The night vision IR system is very poor in quality and has a defect. There is a big V shape white area in every night clips. I contacted Amazon customer support, they just dancing around WiFi, reflective wall, and other irrelevant issues. Allowable installation spots for doorbell is very limited, how can one installs at different locations as asked by tech support? Other posted reviews show the same V shape white screen, I am stuck, since I have past 15 returnable date specified by Best Buy and Amazon tech support points finger to owners’ fault.

Setting up was easy. Camera quality is pretty decent. It’s not the best but it’s good for the price. Also, the video does have a weird sound in the background like if there’s wind blowing but there’s not. It’s not too bad because you can still hear the audio. Does it’s job but I feel like the battery dies kind of fast.

I purchased a white Blink Doorbell camera in 2022. Its a decent Doorbell Camera for the prices. Setup and connecting it was very easy. You do have to pay a subscription fee ever month for storage which I dont mind cause its only a few dollars. The picture quality during the day and night are average and the motion detection works good. What I dont like is how cheap the build quality is. The casing is made of cheap plastic with a back plate that it clips in to. The problem with the plastic casing is the fact that with all Dorrbell Cameras is that its outside in the elements which ends up making the plastic backplate brittle and ends up cracking over time. All in all its a decent Doorbell Camera.

Everything about it is excellent. Very worth it. I would give it five stars if it didn’t record in the pocket(even have the pouch that hugs it on), because by the time I figured it out, was an hour or more into a walk and the thing was hot as heck and the battery was super stressed and empty for those times I really needed it. Otherwise it takes amazing shots I used it in London in Buckingh palace. Even recorded a story from a tour I didn’t pay for because no one can tell you are recording them which is really nice for capturing candid shots when out and about, and relive them again as if you were there again.

The picture coming through is really good. Day or night. The sound is really good. There's a time delay though. 3-5 seconds, so it doesn't capture everyone coming to the door, or coming through the gate for that matter. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Definitely beats the price of the Ring Doorbells and installation was super easy. Had preexisting wiring that it hooked right up to and didnt have to drill any new holes either. picture quality is great and being able to keep the same doorbell sound is a huge plus.

Really great camera. We have all blink products in our home from the outdoor cameras to indoor camera for our baby and dogs. The ring doorbell works great and took all of 5 minutes to install and setup, was a very simple process. The only downside to blink is to save the videos for a longer period of time it does require a subscription service but it’s definitely worth the price.

Installation was straight forward removed the old doorbell and connect the 2 wires to the blink video doorbell. Make sure wires were tight then test doorbell after setting up blink app. If all works connect to door frame and make sure you line up the 4 connecting points, push in and slide down to lock.

I looked at lots of reviews for many different doorbell cameras. There are pluses and minuses for all of them. Since I've had great luck with Blink indoor cameras and their price is very affordable, I decided to give the Blink doorbell camera a try. It was very easy to install and is very intuitive to use. I'm really impressed! I had it wired in so that it would ring the existing chime in the house. You have to go into the app to make that work after the wiring is connected, so if you wire it in and it doesn't work right away, that's probably why. It has a wide field of view, so I get an alert when someone walks up to my door and also if someone turns toward my garage, which is perpendicular to my entrance. There may be cameras that are more sophisticated or with more impressive technical specifications in one aspect or another, but this camera is completely adequate for my purposes. It produces good, clear video and reliable alerts, and the price is lower than any of its competitors. I'm very happy with this purchase.

easy to use and reliable - clear video/pictures and easy install

Easy to set up as we already had several Blink cameras. The only problem is the images at night are not very clear. It might be the landscape lighting we have that reflects off the lens. Daytime images are very good.

SUPER EASY TO CONNECT TO WIFI THE APP IS EASY TO USE AS WELL. CANT LIVE STREAM THE CAMERA WITHOUT ANOTHER DEVICE IN THE HOUSE. DAY TIME AND NIGHT TIME ARE GREAT QUALITY FOR HOW CHEAP THE CAMPERA IS.
