I received this and I must say that Blink did an awesome job in the packaging of the Video Doorbell. You receive everything you need to mount it properly, and when they say, “It sets up in minutes” they are absolutely correct. I guess the hardest part for me was deciding if I wanted to wire it to our existing doorbell chime (I did not) or using the batteries only. Once I read that it could conceivably last up to two years I was hooked. I received the Sync Module 2 version and I’m so glad that I did, I have already ordered a 64 gb USB that is made by Blink to store images and video on that I receive from the camera, so I don’t have to continue w/ my free subscription. The added bonus of the Sync Module 2 is that you can add additional cameras from the Blink store, and you basically have your own system. The connection to the Blink app was simple and straightforward, and again, I had it up and running in minutes, mounting the plate to my door was the longest part and that is simply drilling a hole and inserting two provided screws. The reason for the 4 stars is the video at night is a little lacking and not very clear, granted, our neighbor across the street will decorate for any holiday as if she is in Times Square and I think maybe her orange Halloween lights are affecting the quality at this time w/ a glare, but in Blinks defense, I’m sure the International Space Station astronauts and cosmonauts have to wear sunglasses when they pass our location. During the day the video/pictures are crystal clear and are top of the line in quality. I have had several packages delivered by UPS and FedEx since I have mounted the camera and both drivers have commented that they like how its not as big as most doorbell cameras. That is what I like the most, I had a WUUK door bell camera and removed it in favor of the Blink, in comparison the Blink is far smaller in size but better video quality, and the weight is amazingly light. This is a good video doorbell camera. You won’t be sorry if you purchase one.

I’m convinced that this is the perfect doorbell camera system for me. I’ve been running this for almost 2 months now and have yet to find something wrong with it. It’s simply perfect. Installation took maybe 15 minutes? Was a breeze. Easy to read instructions and diagrams made me wish other companies had instructions like Blink does. I wish my Nest branded cameras and thermostat were this easy and installed this simply! As far as the app and video camera quality, again it’s perfect for me. Does everything I want it to and nothing I don’t need. It’s just a doorbell cam, so I ready just wanted to see if it would excel at that…. It has!

It sucks compared even to my cheaper camera. You can’t chime into it at anytime. You have to wait for alerts and have 60 seconds to look at who’s at your door and it’s not rechargeable.

This device comes with the video doorbell, regular flat mount and angled corner mount including mounting screws, Sync Module 2, a small tool to remove the doorbell from the mount (put this in a safe place for future use), batteries, power adapter and USB cable. This doorbell can be used with wiring from an existing doorbell or wireless using batteries. Living in a condo with no doorbell or wiring for one, I love that this can be wireless and run on batteries. This doorbell also has two way audio, so I can talk to whoever is at my door without even opening it. If I click on the notification, it will open the app and I just need to press the microphone button to talk to whoever is at the door. I don’t even have to be home to stay in contact with whoever is at my door. I get a sound on my phone (whichever sound I set up) to alert me that someone is at my door. I can tell them to leave a package, that I will be returning home soon, etc. I find this VERY convenient. Setup is not that difficult. You will need to download the Blink app, create an account and follow the online instructions, which are pretty self explanatory. You now can manage most anything right from you phone. I like that when someone rings the doorbell you can also have Alexa set up to notify you someone is at the “Door”, “Back Door” or whatever you have named it. Bonus is that you only need to put in a USB (a Blink USB flash drive is available on Amazon) flash drive into the Sync Module for local video storage and/or delete the ones you don’t want to save, although you do get a free limited-time subscription to the Cloud and can just continue using that for a fee after free trial is over.

Video doorbells are a must now in any smart home. You really can't put a price on keeping your home safe and knowing what kind of foot traffic is at your door at any given moment. The Blink camera is so clear! You can customize the viewing and audio experience through the app. It picks up pretty much anything you need to hear, and the HD video is impressive on the little device. You have options for live viewing, recording video or capturing picture, and viewing your activity history as far back as 60 days. Your settings can determine if you want motion to trigger recording or as minimal as pushing the bell to begin your capture. But it's your safety and your choice. The alerts go straight to your phone or other device on which you download the app. From there you can watch the live action and even answer the door or dissuade potential thieves with the two-way audio feature. The device is battery-powered, with upwards of two years of power, so you can be sure your doorbell will be up and running for a long time. I simply wanted to see packages being delivered and verify that they stayed there until I got home to get them. As an added bonus, I can ignore unwanted guests :) The Blink Video Doorbell was very easy to set up and I like that as my living situation changes, I can add more cameras as my security needs expand! My set up is not connected to other cameras or an existing doorbell- simply mounted to my front door frame to capture doorbell pushes and motion. For the price, awfully hard to beat

I love it. I think it’s better than a ring honestly. I just didn’t like that the battery ran out so quickly. It should have a rechargeable battery. But the install was easy and the camera works great.

This is the best doorbell I have purchased! It was easy to install, it is very accurate and clear. Depending on how you set it up, will detemine the battery usage. We have ours set to motion detection and it drains our battery quicker since it detects stray cats and if its windy.

Great quality, Motion detection is on point, Connecting devices was so easy and simple, video quality is excellent and audio is so clear both ways! I have excellent Wi-Fi so that helps with better connection. I recommend this Blink Door Bell!

Bought it on sale for my daughter college apartment. Perfect for the price. She and her roommates can sign in, just not at the same time which is the only bummer, to see who’s are the door/porch. Wish each user had their own log in. Other than that its perfect, makes them feel safe but also allows us to manage who’s coming in and be sure no out of control parties/issues when she’s gone back home for holiday. They had one incident with a person screaming and knocking loud but with this device they didn’t have to open the door or check the window to see what was going on. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good price and effective device. It does take longer to set up than the two competitors I own but after that it’s smooth sailing as long as the Wi-Fi is up! Buy it! Side note: I bought a “no drill holder” for the door and this fit inside nicely and doesn’t lose any function or visibility.

I have slowly been adding to my "smart home," but had yet to add a video doorbell system to it. With so many options, it was difficult to choose, being that most were hovering around the same price range. Well, Blink was a game changer for me. With the Blink camera and Sync Module 2 coming in at around $85, I found this to be the best option. What I love the most about the Blink video doorbell is that you have the option to hardwire or battery power the device. I think that this great for folks who may not be able to do electrical wiring around their house. It not only saves time, but it saves money as well. The kit came with the camera, Sync module, backing plate, and an angle mount for those who need it. If you will be hardwiring it, remember to turn the circuit breaker off before doing any electrical work. It is a simple hardwire install if you have an existing doorbell. It is a simple two wire installation. But if you don't have an existing doorbell, save the time and money and go with battery operation. The sync module allows you to locally store saved video via the use of a usb flash drive. I ordered a wall plug mount for it that came with a much shorter power cable to clean things up. I hate having long wires dangling from devices. As for app navigation and connection, it took a while to sync the device to the app. Even after downloading the latest app, I had some trouble connecting the device. After a few attempts, I got things working. I connected the Blink camera to my portal device, but there is a problem. When I go into my portal and check on the status of the Blink camera, I get some connection error message. I am able to see video when I connect to the camera via voice command, but when someone rings the bell, the portal device does not ring. It's disappointing, and I hope that this issues gets resolved. Aside from these minor setbacks, the Blink camera and sync module are a great addition to my smart home and the security of my family and home. You really can't beat the price! I would highly recommend the Blink video doorbell and sync2 module to anyone.
