I installed mine wired with the existing conventional doorbell system. I just directly replaced the old push button and this blink doorbell rang my mechanical chime and my phone. The thing that I wish be improved is the vertical view angle of the camera. The delivered packages near the door can't be seen by the camera

For local storage issues, ensure your USB flash drive is properly formatted (FAT32) and securely inserted into the Sync Module 2. The drive should be between 1GB and 256GB for optimal performance. To improve picture quality, check that your doorbell has a strong WiFi connection and try cleaning the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth. You can also adjust video quality settings in the Blink app under your doorbell's camera settings. My biggest gripe are, when using the app, it's slow to connect & you have to but a camera to use for the chime . I had a cheaper brand for about half the price that did as good but had a separate come with it. My cheaper one was rechargeable & I did like that although I haven't had any issues with the battery on the new one.

It doesn’t snap in nicely with the base it comes with. Tried few times but doesn’t seem to click in. I’ve installed dozens if not hundreds of Ring doorbells for work so I thought this would be peace of cake but I think it’s just not as built as good.

My grandmother asked for a blink alternative and she really likes it so that’s a win in my book.
