Great Camera for a great price!

I wish that when viewing the live camera it didn't try kicking me out after 15 seconds and the recordings were longer. Overall its a good investment and easy to set up and configure.

You are able to monitor whoever is coming up to your door any time of the day. You get notifications every time and when people ring the doorbell. One of my favorite parts is that this camera can withstand high heat temperatures.

I just don’t like that there’s a 3-5 second delay to record after catching movement. I was looking for something instant. This was not it. I have all the settings to start recording, but it does not until 3-5 seconds after. The person coming up to my door is already at my door by the time it detects said person and alerts me. And I have a fairly short driveway.

Your Blink Doorbell captures motion based on either passive infrared (PIR) or pixel difference analysis (PDA). Your camera's motion sensitivity setting adjusts how much input it takes to send you a notification. Low sensitivity is less responsive, so a larger amount of heat or motion is needed to cause a notification. The highest setting may cause alerts from blowing leaves or even shadows. Is the Doorbell's motion detection setting on or off? If this is off, your device will not detect motion, and motion notifications will not be sent to your mobile device. On your camera's thumbnail, tap "More." This menu displays whether motion detection is on or off. If motion detection is off, tap the motion detection button to turn it on. You can also check your camera's Device Settings > Motion Settings to see if motion detection is turned on. I hope this information is helpful. The doorbell is loud and can also be heard from my phone app. I can ask Alexa to show me love views from my doorbell camera too. Overall, great price and great purchase!

The camera is installed on my front door apartment building and monitors my hallway. The module 2 was a great addition so i dont have to have cloud services.

However, when someone rings the doorbell it does take sometime to see who is at the door through the app. There is also a lag.

Connects/merges to your Amazon account after initial setup. Only comes with a month of free cloud storage, but it’s not needed if you get a simple usb drive. Day AND night quality is great, and motion alerts are a big plus. Also extremely easy to use feature to save clips and 2-way talk.
