Better options out there

The battery life is pretty terrible and the interface is awful. Also, there is no way to increase the cloud storage for clips. This might be fine if you have very little activity, but is insufficient for a moderate to heavy use.

It worked great, so I purchased 3 more XT2's so I have more coverage. So far I haven't had any serious reasons (Break-ins, weird people, etc) that I can comment on the effectiveness of the cameras, however, I did find some poop in my front year and caught a clip of the pooch's poo. Unfortunately, the dog was only in one frame, not the entire recording. But I've always caught people coming to my door and the occasional bee and bug. So far so good!
