    Im giving a 3 star but if there was an above average I would of given a 3.5 star. This is the first security camera system we've used so I can't compare but I will list the pros the cons in it's first week of use. I have 3 more weeks and if there are any issues I will return it. Pros: -video quality is very good at Best (middle setting) - Installation of the cameras was easy outside -Audio quality is good. Can clearly hear person on the other end. New 2 way audio is good. -Custom settings such as ease of enabling motion detection, video recording length (up to 60 seconds), activity zone, sensitivity level, etc. -App is easy to use -App can be used on multiple devices (4 in our house) -Relatively low cost for 3 cameras compared to 1 camera for Ring or Nest -Small and light. easy to place anywhere you want Cons - Set up directions was a nightmare. My Netgear router was set to 2.4 ghz (recommended setting) would NOT sync module because firmware has to update at install so the house wifi did not work. Had to tether wifi on another phone to get it pass the firmware update then change the module back to the home wifii. This needed to be tested or disclosed prior to releasing to market - 1 of 3 cameras already experiencing rainbow discoloration on the motion detection video playback. I had to reset the camera and is working better. -Latency from when the motion is detection. There is about A 10-15 delay before a notification is sent to my phone. -Often system error or system busy message when 2 or people are trying to view the same camera (this needs to be addressed) -Lack of a 1 button to refresh all cameras at one time - One of 3 camera motion detection was inconsistent. One day detected my dog outside and another day it did not. -The mountain bracket is cheap. Camera snaps on like a a Leggo and can easily be popped right off. I am ordering a aftermarket protective casing and metal bracket -Module could of been designed as a cube to plug in but instead its a wire connection with micro USB.

    battery die super fast and it keep disconnecting from the internet and i been trying to connected again but is not working at all. This product is bad i wish I could get a refund or a different product.

    you dont always get to see off the camera when your not home using wifi, and it takes awhile to actually see anything on the device. I get its not supposed to be right there and then but sometimes it doesn't even let me view from the camera.

    So first time around no problems at all setting up. 2nd time around, worst experience. The customer service just tells you to unplug stuff and move things around. My camera still is not connected and says "command failed to connect." I will not buy again.

    Worked great at first, now it won't connect or charge. Takes lithium batteries, which we've changed several times, expensive, and still doesn't work. Picture not good either.

    Don't waste your time with this product if your looking for real security. The System will not tell you if anybody is outside your door until the video has completed, so depending on how long you have the video set you may not know if there is someone there until its to late. If you set the video time real short you will probably get such a short video that if something has happened you may not get all that has happened and probably such a short video you won't see who it was and which way they went. Very poor system. I know! I've had all those problems many times even lengthening the Video and increasing the sensitivity.

    I really have lost my faith in anything made by amazon. This is just yet another product of theirs that fails on so many levels. It functions somewhat ok as long as you are logged into the same router the base station is connected to. If you want to be able to check in on them when you are not at home, forget about it. It will never connect. After many attempts at trying to get the cameras to work remotely I tried to reset the sync module and start all over. After trying to set it back up it would just show a red light and hang for 5min and then just say failed with no explanation. It never worked again.

      You should be able to access your Blink System from anywhere as long as you have a WIFI or cellular connection.     Since there are no Geek Squad appointments and I cannot find anyone else to help me set it up, I have yet to use the product. As a full member of the Geek Squad's all-encompassing service, this is a large disappointment.

    I never leave reviews but this camera is terrible. First off, if I get notifications, it’s not until AFTER the activity happens. Most time I get no notifications at all. Then the other night, as usual, keeps going off when cars passed, but when a stranger walked up to my door in the middle of the night and banged on my door.... NOTHING! No notifications, no recordings. Thanks blink. My family could’ve been harmed and there would be no recordings to capture the culprit

    Trash.DO NOT BUY. It only works properly half of the time. When someone walks in proximity of the camera sensor to trigger live recording it sends the recording alert to ur phone 2-3 minutes too late therefore u cannot speak to the trespassor to prevent or deter him from stealing a package from ur porch or breaking into ur car. It will record the person for u to review later. But that's useless bcz ur package is already stolen. Ring doorbell operates the same way whereas sometimes it's live and sometimes it's delayed. Garbage also.

    Too complicated and once set up and working there was a problem when it went offline. Troubleshooting the problem was impossible and I returned the item. I also did not like the blinking light as it was intended for surveillance of possible thefts.

The blue recording indicator light does have the option to be turned off on the Blink XT2 cameras and they do also use IR night vision for stealth recordings.

    These camera can turn off the light showing they are on but the clicking never ends and to top off the actually sound they are meant to record along with the picture is, well bad would be giving it more credit than it deserves. The storage fills up in like 3 hours if you are in an area where you need to watch for but constant movement unavoidable. Picture also not clear enough for the cost Not effective for home protection even as a doorbell addition didnt work and I was trying to find anything but I quit they are back in the box in my "I spent too much money to through away" closet,
