Many times these delays have to do with the strength of your wifi connection. You are also able to adjust the sensitivity of the camera as well within the camera settings in the APP, if you continue to have issues however please kindly reach out to us directly so that we may help to troubleshoot, support.blinkforhome.com

We are sorry to hear that you are having some issues with the motion detection on your Blink cameras. You may want to try adjusting the sensitivity on the cameras within the camera settings in the APP, this does sometimes take some guess and check depending on where the cameras are placed. We would also suggest adjusting the angle of the camera as well if possible, noting the best motion detection occurs when a subject walks across the field of view from one side to another rather than directly toward or away from the camera. Please keep this in mind for optimal motion detection before mounting your camera. If you continue to have issues please reach out to our Tech Support Team directly to troubleshoot, support.blinkforhome.com

    SUB-PAR PERFORMANCE & VIDEO

I had such high hopes for the new XT2 system. There are so many positives to its design and features but in my three days of testing/using it, it failed overall. Overall, this is an inexpensive toy-like approach to home video security. Set up I thought was easy. The APP is fabulous and user-friendly and very intuitive. I ran into issues when setting-up in that the actual cameras themselves would not connect to my wi-fi system/network. I had to call Amazon's tech support center over in the Philippines. Wait times were long. It's a new system and tech support wasn't accurate or helpful so I instead did a full reset on my router and it worked and cameras were married to the network. I felt all was going well. The price was excellent. Amazon storage in the CLOUD was superior. I tested motion/movement and all three cameras quickly responded with alerts sent to my cell phone. The APP for the XT2 lets you fully adjust the camera settings. Again, superior APP options. The three cameras operating were fair-to-good at daylight video quality (I set my cameras all to ENHANCED quality). but not good enough to read a license plate from a parked car close-by. Let's fast-forward to night where all three cameras only produced ghostly images; even in well-lit areas. The images/video would be of no help to police. The video quality was so poor. It's all about video quality and this is where Amazon made the system cheap enough so that if you are using it to watch for package delivery or doorbell rings, it was fine. For real security, it failed completely. In fairness, it's wireless for both connection and for power (battery operated cameras). Great APP. Great price for the full system. Not a serious contender for quality security.

Worked Great... For about 2-3 months

My family bought a three pack of these cameras, two for our house, one we gave to the neighbor. We bought them at the end of September 2019. Around the middle of December 2019, our one camera started failing. The active zones kept resetting and blocking out almost every area, so no motion was captured at all. I first tried the email service for whatever reason. It took them 3-4 days to respond asking for my name and email address. We then called in after 2 days of waiting, got a replacement. The replacement wouldn't pick up motion most of the time, maybe 1/4 of the time it actually detected the motion. A second camera is not working now. It actually stopped working around the time we contacted Blink about the first camera, and they just said to replace the batteries. That day we called 4-5 times, getting a different rep each time, telling us the same thing-that it was a problem with our internet. Our internet hasn't changed in years, and these cameras worked perfectly before. Anyways, we went through the hassle of resetting our wifi multiple times, breaking the wifi into 2.4 and 5GHz, against the advice of our internet provider, ran multiple speed tests and testing of connection etc. Replaced batteries in cameras. Deleted cameras from the system and added them back on. Used a hotspot that we luckily had through our AT&T service to try and see if the cameras worked then. Nothing. The reps still insisted it was our wifi, but we had two cameras work a single time so they replaced the third and hung up. Well, now all three are not working. We got a replacement for the third, but are waiting to put that one up. The cameras will notice motion about half the time, and even though we have settings at recording for 60 seconds even if motion stops, 3/4 or more of the videos we are sent are between 0-4 seconds long. Some of them aren't even long enough to show a whole picture. We are supposed to be getting a new Sync Module soon to see if that works. It took 6-7 representatives to get a new Module, even when we directly requested a new one. Aside from all of these issues, here are other things I noticed from day one: -The live view has always taken a long time to load, and often fails multiple times while trying to load it. An effective security camera should be able to load in within 5-10 seconds, max, so you can capture motion immediately. These cameras take at least 30 seconds if you are lucky, but usually with live view failures which almost always happen 1-2 times, you're most likely waiting over five minutes to get a live feed, if you can even get one to come up. -Pictures. This camera(and I assume most others) offers the feature to take a picture of what the camera has a view of, and show that in the app at all times. Well, it, like the live view, takes extremely long to take a single picture and often fails many many times. I tried for about 15-20 minutes to get a picture of the view from our new camera, because it failed so many times. -Battery. These cameras come with batteries, two for each camera, and say they have a life span of "up to 2 years". Like mentioned before, I bought these cameras just 3-4 months ago. I replaced each cameras' batteries twice. Three sets of batteries in each camera in only 3 months. The one camera that doesn't even work (pick up motion, record and send videos) went through a fresh pair of batteries in a week! It doesn't even record or detect motion, and can't even load live video! -Motion detected videos. This camera will record videos of motion, but only up to 60 seconds. If the motion is longer than 60 seconds, you must wait the re-trigger time, the shortest option being 10 seconds, and then hopefully the camera will pick up motion the second time to record that. I noticed that many times, there is a significant delay from when the motion happens, to when you receive the video. I have noticed some motion has ended and been recorded for five minutes before the video finally gets sent to our phones. Just as additional info: the Sync Module is about 5 feet away from our router. We have a smaller home, and neighbors are close. All three cameras are within 25 feet of our router and the sync module. There is not an excessive amount of motion going on in front of these cameras. Just the normal entering and leaving the home a few times per day, and mail/package delivery. Our one camera which has gone through 3 sets of batteries and needs a fourth now already barely has any motion going on at all, only if the dogs go right up to the fence or somebody walks in between our home and the neighbors(almost never happens, maybe 3 times per week). Our internet is on the best network in our area, and we have the highest speed package available. We do have multiple devices connected, but most are turned off or not in use the majority of the day. Some(phones) are even away from the house a lot of the times. We don't have any problems with internet connection with our merged network, even though some devices use only 2.4 or only 5GHz. So, I would not recommend these cameras to anybody. Even somebody that doesn't want live view, since motion capture and video recording is very unreliable. These cameras may be good if you want something inside your home to check up on pets, but you'd then have to home live views work, which they often don't. Look for other cameras, there are many other wireless, battery operated indoor/outdoor cameras. They may cost a bit more but it's much better than paying $250 for maybe 3 months of use. If this next module doesn't work, which I seriously doubt it will, we will be pursuing a refund. Best Buy only gives you 15 days as a regular customer to get a refund/store credit, even if your item is defective, so we will have to hope that the horribly run customer service team at Blink may be able to get us to somebody higher up in the company that might actually be able to help us.

These little cameras started out amazing!! They captured every movement on my front porch and patio. So much so in fact, I had to reduce the sensory setting in the app. Loved it. Three years later and they only seem to notice me when I come home. Any deliveries to my porch never get detected. Forget the patio camera, it barely detects anything even though my cat is out there running around all the time! Does it have to do with my new wifi service? I'm not sure it's worth upgraded to the new version.

These things are awesome, for the price point. I was skeptical of the video quality but its actually pretty good. I like that there is no monthly fees, I can view the cameras live anytime I want, I get notifications if there is movement that set a camera off. They have 2 way audio that works pretty good, there is some lag in reception but its pretty clear audio. Easy to set up, easy to install. I am so thankful I bought these vs the $300 and $400 systems. One thing I was was better is the night vision, its okay if there is light but in the dark you can't see anything. Waiting for the next sale to get a couple more cameras. Would highly recommend.

This is my second day of use.... so far so good. Setting it up was a snap, took less than 20 minutes.. I read some reviews that said motion sensor was taking time to initiate video... I havent seen any of that...seems like as soon as someone enters the camera range, the system starts to active. For those that are getting sensor lag, try moving the Sync module closer to the camera if possible. I have about 20 feet of separation between the module and camera and have experienced zero lag. Get system, and I just synced it to my echo for even more convenience =)

I'm really impressed with this camera. It was real easy to set up and so far, has been working like a charm. Once in a while, I do get false motion clips, but other then that, it works really well. The fact that its small and black, it can be used in discreet and covert settings when you want to catch someone who's up to no good and don't want them to know. The IR at night is not that great, so I just turn it off and use the available light for color illumination. Again, I've only had the camera for a very short time so I'm hoping that it works just as well over the long run.

Pros: Good picture on a good day or night. Easy to setup. Works with Alexa. Low cost. Cons:. Too slow to connect and shoe video. Get warnings about high usage and batteries won't last two years. What good is a security camera if you can't use it? Motion sensor is inconsistent; typically only works within around 20-25ft, other times it seems to be set off by stars twinkling. Video from motion sensor trigger usually captures after the fact. Forget about a decent picture in high humidity or rain. Picture with night vision is washed out with just a little light from my porch light. App only allows viewing one camera at a time, so if you want to track somebody as they walk around your house, forget it. Again, they are two slow to connect and show video so you lose the person before the camera connects. Sound from speaker isn't that clear, people could barely understand me when we tested. Sound from camera isn't that good either, sounds like they're in a tin can. I would not recommend.

In general it’s a good camera system for the price. I like that it sends you notifications when motion is detected. The picture quality is excellent day or the day and okay at short distance for night. However the lag is about 5-10 seconds and the short distance and glare of the night vision, leaves it falling short of five stars. Also since it doesn’t have human detection the false alarms are a bit much.

I've had this system since 2020 and most of the time it is okay. Battery life has been what was expected and the fact that it takes AA batteries is a plus. But yesterday there was an unusual occurrence i can't explain. The camera is mounted above our garage door and detected us leaving and returning later. What it didn't detect was the Amazon delivery that was made in between.

Love these! But sadly now they want you to purchase cloud storage smh. Think It's 10.00 monthly. (Per Hub) Not to bad I guess, but I think the people that purchased before this "Cloud Storage" started should not have to pay. It was not told to me or others that In the future you will have to pay. So we will see what they plan to do I guess. It should only be for new purchases. I think you can do something else if you can not pay for cloud but i have to check. I have been dealing with not getting notifications which I'm concerned about. At first I always did but now it seems I dont. It seems to only start beeping or notifying me when I am at my front door coming home. I have to call C.S because I want Notified! (Thats the whole point) also could be do to the cloud idk. Customer service is not the greatest btw and I think they need to start training better. I've had videos that had been deleted by the app. I did not delete them I lost them all. I called and got no help they said that they could not retrieve them I was so upset over that. Maybe the cloud would keep them idk. It should not have happened regardless and they should had been able to retrieve smh. They need trained so Customers do not have to continuously google their questions or concerns. Alright so these cameras other than the above issues... Are really clear and I love the 2 way talking I can talk to my dog or anyone who is home instead of calling. Me and my daughter can talk back and forth on it. If you see a burglar or delivery person etc you can speak to them. I have not had it mounted outside yet but plan to soon. Reviews say it's also clear outside, but to be careful putting on a window because of the glare. I had mine in the Window seal and It did not work at all. These come with the mounts which is awsome. I have not used them yet but others say they are good. I also love that these are inside/outside cameras so I don't have to buy more for outside. I wish they would have added mounts that do not need screwd for people that rent but I can buy those om Amazon so no biggie. Ome Hub can have several cameeas hooked to it which is also very nice. I would love to have something for my car hopefully they come up with something. I also may try the new Ring door bell. These are not perfect but which ones are? You shouldn't be disappointed but always check reviews and find your best fit.
