I am so glad that I got the 3 camera package on sale for $189.00, because if I had bought it at the regular price, or other previously discounted prices of $219.00, I would be a bit irritated. So for $189.00, I am happy with the performance. The setup took much longer than it should have because the software would not keep the 3 individually named cameras straight. I am an electrical engineer and very technology oriented, so i know it wasn't my fault. It was very frustrating to have to straighten out the names of the 3 individual cameras. But once that was completed, it took another 2 days of monitoring system performance to deduce that I needed to move my router closer to the patio camera. Now, just for the record, the furthest distance this patio camera was to my router was 2 stories above it and 30 feet laterally from it. So it is obvious that the RF section of the cameras is very poor with low signal strength. I moved the router down to the first floor and everything worked much better (I did not want to spend more money for a router extender for just this one product). So now I have an acceptable system, and the only complaint is that even with setting the sensitivity at just the right level, it takes a while for an intrusion to notify you. This isn't a problem if the intrusion stays within the camera range for 10 seconds. So we'll call that tolerable. The best thing that I can say about the cameras is that the picture quality is great and the night vision is too. So is the audio.

The Blink cameras were easy to setup and install. We have a total of 5 cameras outside to cover the perimeter of our home, and they do a good job of detecting motion. The 2-way sound quality is impressive, and so is the picture quality. It took us a little while to get the sensitivity and the settings just where we wanted them, but after a few months of having these, they offer us extra peace of mind. For the cost and ease of setup, I would definitely recommend them. We have a fairly large house (over 2200 sf.) so we did end up having to purchase a range extender for the wifi to reach all of the cameras.

I installed this cameras outside my home and so far I like them. First of all, this little cameras record video only when they detect motion and then send a short video clip to your phone, which is good if you want to know and see who is approaching your door. but be aware that this is a passive system. However, for those familiar with active cctv systems which provide 24/7 surveillance and recording, which you can watch either by glancing at a dedicated screen or over the internet by playing the recorded video, or the live signal even in your computer this blink little cameras could be disappointing. They are just different types of devices. Unfortunately the typical advertising does not makes this clear, therefore people is constantly wondering what this systems do or not do. On the positive, they are much cheaper and easier to install than regular cctv cameras that require a lot of wiring and offer some level of protection for your home. For a much higher price, you could also buy IPTV cameras, connected through wifi as well, but with more robust version of this kind of system, with 24/7 recording capability on their own recording device with a hard drive and, just as the cctv wired systems you could also watch them on a dedicated screen or on your computer, but again, you have to pay twice or more. In comparison, the installation of this Blink XT@ system is extremely easy, including a very straigth forward setup in your smart phone. The most complicated would be the screwing of the mounting devices onto the wall or surface of your preference. Pros. Price, Easy installation and setup. Cons. They record only short clips. Live video is on demand for up to a minute at the time. Can not be watched in a dedicated screen or over your computer. Uptate. Apparently you can watch live signal (for up to a minute at the time) using an amazon eco show device, because this cameras work with Alexa. I still have to try that. I have been using them for two weeks and so far yes, i recommend this system.

These cameras are excellent and easy to install on my phones. I have sensitivity Issue: The cameras seem to be anywhere between way-too-sensitive to way-too-insensitivity randomly. They can be triggered by falling leaves or be triggered 10 times within 3 minutes by some not-in-the-active-zone activities; or they may decide not to see anything for several hours to anything even just right in front of them. I have adjust the sensitivity in cameras. the original package have 2 cameras, I just added another 2 cameras into the system during the Black Friday sell.

It gets the job done and the batteries are still working great after month and a half later. Motion detection is about no more than 5 seconds late but the video quality is great. Good options on how long to record and it could record up to 1 minute. I have 3 cameras on one hub and works great always getting notifications of recording no random disconnections from hub to camera. Live view is about 2 seconds delay and also you could take pics when viewing live. Super easy to setup and camera installations and the app works great for me no problems yet.

Still going strong. Only replaced the two batteries twice in two years but then I realized it should have been lithium batteries. I understand the lithium supposed to last two years. Still not bad though. I love being able to monitor my apt while I'm away with the app on my phone. I also can talk to the person inside my place. Thankfully, I haven't had to use this feature yet, but when testing it, it works nicely!

The picture quality is great. Night vision is good , but for the price could be better. Would be great if they could be viewed on any smart tv. You have to buy a fire edition tv to connect. You can’t do constant surveillance, only when they are motion activated. That makes it tough because its either recording for 30s or it’s not recording at all. A dvr would make this system better. However, installing was a breeze. I will never go back to a wired system

We added these to our existing Blink system. Very easy to set up. The new design mounts are much better than the ones with the original Blink. The picture quality is good and we have no complaints. The audio is lacking, especially outside, and that was the main reason we wanted the Blink XT2. Very hard to hear if any outside noise at all (ex: AC running nearby). It doesn't work with our dogs like we thought it would. There is about a 5 second lag in the ability to hear what was said and you have to be very close to the device to hear. There is even a longer lag time in the time a motion is detected and the alert on the phone...closer to a full minute. We have had the original Blink over a year and the batteries are still going, so battery life seems good on them. I do prefer this system over our Ring, which has terrible audio and you have to pay for storage. Would still recommend this system.

Camera is small, practical and gets the job done. The video quality is excellent during daylight, but suffers a bit in night vision mode. The camera is easy to install, and the app is user friendly. Just make sure you don't put the camera where there is a lot of activity or it will drain your batteries. Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a little piece of mind.

Easy to setup right out of the box. I wasn't looking for an expensive camera system, but not a cheap one either. I had the cameras online and mounted within 15 minutes. Overall quality is great. Night vision is good out about 20 yards and the quality during the day is exceptional. If in the budget go for the three or more camera pack because you will always find a blind spot outside. Not sure if the videos can be downloaded to an external hard drive, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me.

This is a battery operated camera (not plugged in) with a separate base station that is plugged in to to a wall outlet. I placed my base station on top of a shelf and powered it with an extension chord so the base station is central to my house and hidden from view. The cameras when mounted are small and easily detect motion. The app for the motion detection has several sensativity settings (more sensative results in more battery use) and while I have only owned them for about a month the max battery life is supposed to be 2 years. its great that the cameras are weather proof too. I have 3 of these cameras and while two are protected from rain one is not. The are black in color but you can purchase separately silicone white sleves to make them blend in more with white backgrounds (such as the trim on your home exterior). What I really like about this camera is its unlimited FREE cloud storage. This means that once I make the purchase I don't have to sign up for a subscrption to anything. NOTE - it does use passive infrared detection technology to detect motion. ALL BATTERY OPERATED cameras made to date use this form of motion detection. Cameras such as the Wyze Cam or Ring Doorbell Pro which are connected to continuous electricity detect motion via PIXLE CHANGE ANALYSIS. Therefore, you can't place these BLINK cameras (or any other battery powered camera) inside a window and expect it to properly detect motion on the otherside of the window. PLACEMENT - these cameras do a decent job of seeing with night vision, however, be aware of where you place them. If you place them inside a porch near your front door for example and you have pillars which support the awning the pillars will reflect the night vision back to the camera reducing how far it can see at night with its night vision. you may therefore, FIRST want to temporarily install the camera with some painters tape or other means and view the video feed during both the DAY AND NIGHT prior to permanently mounting them.

Great bang for your buck. Extremely easy set-up. I got it to combat porch pirates. Each camera has individual custom settings. Motion, audio and night vision. The zoom isn't high end. It's adequate. If someone comes to the porch I get an alert. You can save pictures and video to storage. I really like it. Mine is a split security and let cam. Very good value and decent quality. Not to mention low profile.

It has a very nice picture and range from its WiFi source. My only issue with these camera is the delay from coming on to alerting me that it sensed motion. I have three cameras that you would activate before you reach my front door. When a delivery person brings a package they can reach my front door and knock on it before the first camera that was activated alerts me. Overall very nice product and easy to use.

I have now purchased several of these sets for my family. While it does not have some features found on more expensive setups, everything needed to get the system up and running is contained in the box and it does a really good job of providing good quality video monitoring. Install is a matter of finding a good location, holding the mounting bracket up (with or without the spacer) and putting two screws through it, then snapping the camera into that bracket. If you have already linked the camera to the sync module, you can pull up a live video and aim the camera while you view it on your phone. Then you can refine the covered areas as needed - one of its better features. The sync module is easy to wirelessly connect to your internet service. Multiple cameras can also be easily linked. It advertises 2 years of battery life. I haven't gone 2 years, but in the 9 months since I purchased my first set, only one camera recently went offline due to battery depletion. But that camera is positioned where it activates nearly every time a car goes by - it's not the camera's fault it's the location requirement. Much better than having to permanently wire the camera, add solar panels, or frequently remove and recharge batteries. Biggest complaint is that while the cameras report their battery status - it only says "OK". I would much prefer a percentage of remaining power so that the batteries can be changed as they get close to depletion. I got a 48-hour low battery warning before it went offline. The work around is obviously to change them more frequently than is probably necessary. (By the way, the purchase date shown for this review is for the most recently purchased set.)

Recently bought a set of 3 Blink security cameras for the outside of our house. The image is clear both day and night. The cameras were easy to install and so was the app. There is a slight delay with the motion detection before the cameras start recording, but every other function meets all needs and expectations. Very happy with my new security cameras and would definitely recommend!

The system Erika just like it says. The video is clear & the software is easy to use. I would like the attachment to be stronger. The camera can be taken because there is no permanent attachable option. Even at its highest sensitivity it’s a little slow in the uptake. We use it to watch the foxes and owls at night & it’s slow to pick them up. It picks up deliveries very well & notifies us as we want.

Good overall easy to use camera. You really have to fine tune the settings. Does pretty well for what it is supposed to do. Powered by a battery is key since you don’t have to hard wire it in. Just have to keep an eye on battery levels. Wide angle is so so. Not quite 180° Night Visio. Is good but you have to set it at the highest setting.

I looked long and hard for a product to put at the front of my house. I choose this one mostly because there is free storage with this device! I haven’t quite figured out the right angle and sensitivity with it yet but it serves its purpose. I will say that the camera does have great image quality, I love that it is wireless, it was easy to set up and the app is adequate. Would recommend for others...

This camera system is decent but there are a few things I would have liked to see with it. First, the motion detection has a sight delay so by the time it starts recording whatever triggered it is likely to be gone or out of frame. Second, there is no way to set a recording schedule so you have to remember to “arm” it (tell it to look for motion and send notifications) and “disarm” it. This means it sometimes gets forgotten to either get turned off (using too much storage, which I don’t see a way to upgrade to get more) or forget to turn on and miss potential events. I will say that in lieu of all all these points, the setup and installation was incredibly easy and great for someone who just wants something up quick. If you are putting these in areas that have very little activity you could leave these armed and probably have a good experience with them. I will likely just look for a wired system to replace these with, but for now I’ll be paying attention to battery life as I’ve only had them for a month. If they even last a year I’ll consider it a win.

The ease of use is great! But if you use it it a high traffic area, the batteries last about a month. The one I used outdoors lasted about a year. Don’t get me wrong. I use it to keep an eye on mom when she’s alone in the house. Gives me quick alerts. The night vision is great too. All but one had an issue not being clear at night. This is my second set of them. Convenient, easy to set up and use.
