The batteries do last a long time, but I'll be connecting them all to 120 volts so I never have to worry about it again. I bought these before you had to pay for a subscription. I wouldn't do it again now simply because I don't want to have to pay a monthly fee.

Cameras connect to a hub, hub connects to your home wifi and you use the app to complete the setup as well as view the cameras. If using outdoors, you may need to boost your wifi signal to increase communication speed between the cameras to the hub to uploading on your network.

Visual quality is good, notification works well and like the app. Only modifications I would like is to be able to have different user id's instead of 1 shared log on; also be able to disarm cameras individually instead of only the entire system. Worth the money spent!
