This game is insanely hard at first. It does have a steep learning curve but once you've mastered the art of slaying you should do just fine. Bloodborne offers enough for any gamer who is looking for something they won't beat in a few days. Caution.... Be mindful and don't slam your controller on the ground due to this game.

Such a great story, worthy of a movie if done right. Game play mechanics are well tested and easy to use. Once you start you won't want to put it down. If you like the dark souls games I highly recommend this one. Very similar yet different enough that you don't feel like you're playing an exact copy of it.

If you have the patience to learn from the many, many deaths you will encounter in Bloodborne it is an incredible game. One of those games that will keep you thinking about it even when you're not playing. But if you're looking for a hack 'n slash game or don't enjoy difficult games, look elsewhere - this is not for you.

This game has a reputation of being hard but honestly its more so that games today are easy and this will shock you if you never had to play a game of this nature. Once you get used to the gameplay ,it is challenging but doable. As long as ypu use your brain you will be fine. Definitely one of this gens best games.

This game doesn't take it easy on you from the get go, so it might be very imposing to some. But if you're up for the challenge or want something different from the tutorial every 2 second games of today, I recommend picking this up and slowly and satisfyingly grow into the badass beast hunter you are inside.

Bloodborne is a great game that will take most users 10s of hours to complete provided you have the patience to make it through the opening challenging hours. Like the Souls series that Bloodborne evolved from, Bloodborne is a game requires the player to learn every aspect of the game down to enemy patterns and even animation frames in some cases. This ultimately means you will end up playing and replaying areas of the game over and over. Unlike the Souls series, Bloodborne's gameplay is heavily based upon movement and dodging rather than blocking and parrying. As a result is feels far faster paced and probably a little more approachable that the Souls games. I can't promise Bloodborne will be for everyone but if you ave the patience and give it a chance you will probably find you will like the game. The only caveat I would throw out at this point is that there will be an new version of the game releasing on Nov 24th. This version will come with the Old Hunters DLC included and it might be worth waiting for that to be released in order to get the complete experience.

An amazing experience for both Souls series veterans and newcomers alike, Bloodborne offers addicting gameplay for hours upon hours. It gets bonus points if you like Victorian-era horror and/or Lovecraftian horror. The game is not easy, but always fair. Recommended for any PS4 owners who like horror/action games.

Great game. Amazing really. It's well made and polished. The graphics are great, the game play is fun and addictive, and this game is CRAZY DIFFICULT. I died 4 times before I could even kill the first enemy ha. Definitely not for beginners. I jumped into this blind and I wanted to give it up and trade it in but you gotta get through the first 2 hours and you'll be hooked. 9/10 for me.

I was a bit apprehensive of jumping into this game due to my fondness for playing the Souls games from the prior generation. However, you have to give credit where credit is due. From Software (the studio that created this title, the Souls series, the Armored Core series) is not one to cash-in or just show up with a title. If the Souls titles are open and closed areas with great boss fights with strategic/defensive-minded fighting strategies, Bloodborne decides to keep more closed fighting areas with great bosses and an aggressive fighting style. Fortune favors the bold with a health regaining aspect for punishing your adversaries instead of the duck, cover, regain health that has become common place with first person shooters. Along with the Old Hunters DLC, I have easily put in over 150 hours of gameplay. Definitely worth the price of admission. With gorgeous graphics, great music, and an interesting story that follows the Souls formula of discovery instead of spoonfeeding, this title is one not to skip. Strap in for the ride!

This game is awesome. Level design feels intricate (probably more intricate than it actually is) and reminds me a bit of Ninja Gaiden Black and exploration is fun yet dangerous and I really like when you see familiar areas via different perspectives as you wind your way through the level. I'm a BIG "I need story!" guy and in the absence of much storytelling I'm pretty amazed at how immersive the environment feels and how invested I am in my character. Gameplay is excellent. Difficult but not prohibitive . Extremely satisfying and you feel such achievement / accomplishment after succeeding through formerly frustrating moments. The gameplay is such that it forces the player to become proficient. You really have NO choice but to become proficient and through reps you become very familiar with the map and that in itself is rewarding as well (at least for me). Graphics are pretty sick and I'm enjoying the different variety of enemies I've encountered thus far. PS4 owners who want a challenge and want to experience a rich, dark, immersive world should NOT miss this game.

Perhaps the standout launch title for the PS4. From Software does an excellent job offering a new take on their popular Dark Souls formula. It's dark, atmospheric, has solid gameplay, and is an easy recommendation for gamers who want a solid challenge or are fans for the previous "Souls" games.

The action, building horror as you progress, and the atmosphere all make this game one of the best for the PS4. It is by the makers of Dark Souls, so you know that much care and detail have been put into this new world of theirs and it definitely shows it.

This is a purchase for a veteran, patient gamer. The learning curve is steep but rewarding once mastered. This is an action/rpg game, but requires patience in dealing with frequent deaths and perseverance in learning from those deaths to face and defeat the enemy. This is along the same vein as the Dark Souls games but with slight tweaks in systems and more action. Be prepared for long load times, but this is being patched by Sony at some point in the future. I have enjoyed what I have experienced from this game thus far.

Super hard, as you'd expect from a Souls game - you WILL die. A lot. But it's also really fun! The transforming weapons are the best part, and they add a new layer of strategy to the game as well! We bought a PS4 for this game and have zero regrets! All in all, a must buy! Just be prepared to die. A lot.

This game is awesome. The graphics and setting are amazing and it is definitely a game for the hardcore gamer only. This game is a blast to play but, it will have you pulling out your hair and throwing your controller in no time as well.

This game begins and throws you straight into the action, but you're so not ready. To the say the least for starters gathering the in game currency is challenging and what's even harder is when you die, you lose them all. Don't lose hope because you can go back to where you died to gather them all back.

You will want to bang your head against the wall with most of the boss fights in this game but the feeling of accomplishment you get from finally bringing them down is fantastic. Atmosphere has also always been fantastic in From Software's games.

In a day and age where most video games tend to hold your hand, Bloodborne does the opposite. WIth difficult enemies and even harder bosses, the difficulty feels like a throwback to the early generations of gaming. With the satisfying combat and sense of adventure though, it's an enjoyable experience.

Bought this along with a new PS4 machine in store at BF, the game looks nice, but I was killed by the very first monster in seconds. Thanks to the advices I read before I started the game, that do not smash your controller when you are playing. Overall it is a pretty decent game, and surely it would help kill a great bunch of time.

One of the most difficult games that I have ever played. Can be frustrating, especially for a person who is new to the Dark Souls series like I am. But the satisfaction is awesome once you beat a tough enemy. It really feels like an accomplishment. Amazing PS4 exclusive and well deserved of the hype.
