I been thinking about purchasing this game for my collection for sometime. I had paid under $20 on sale. It's a popular game that's been highly praised and one I had to buy for my collection. A good one to play definitely in Fall. I really love the gothic Victorian look of it. I'm really glad to own the physical copy of this hit and was happy with Best Buys price!

Keeps the Souls formula while still feeling fresh

Bloodborne is another excellent action RPG from the developers of the critically acclaimed 'Souls' games (Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1 and 2). Bloodborne keeps most elements of the Souls games intact, such as: challenging gameplay, online coop and player-versus-player, and character customization (both in appearance and stats). However, Bloodborne is a much more offensive-oriented game than the Souls' games, as evidenced by the faster dodge and the lack of a shield. Bloodborne also moves away from the more medieval fantasy-style of the Souls games and has a fantastic Victorian-inspired aesthetic. Bloodborne is a challenging but very rewarding game with great replay value, as you can do a New Game Plus with your character, and there are multiple endings as well. It's a fantastic game that should be played by anybody that enjoys some challenge in their games.

This game is awesome if you're into collection. The graphic and story are great plus you will get into kid-mode again with this masterpiece. Sony does a great job shelling out games. Can not wait for VR bloodborne if they ever remastered!!!!

I really enjoy this game but I don't play it all the time. The graphics are amazing the the fighting system is smooth as butter. The patch is without a doubt a must have to reduce load times. I still haven't beat it but I haven't traded it in either.

Bloodborne is one of the best games on the system, it will truly hook you and you won't stop until you are finished. Which could be a while, since it's so hard. Great for fans of Dark Souls and action RPG's, or punishing games in general.

The city of Yharnam is gorgeous in all of its gothic grotesque glory. The combat is faster than before and equally, if not more, intense. The story is still ambiguous leaving the interpretation and theories to the player. The game is almost perfect.

This is my first "Souls"-esque game from FROM SOFTWARE and I must say it is definitely worth it. If you know about the Demons Souls and Dark Souls series, you might have heard that you'd die a lot due to the difficulty, and that might have been a negative for you. Fear not. Bloodborne is hard, but it's easier in difficulty compared to its Souls counterparts. People who have played them have stated as that and I must agree. At first, I died at the beginning(it took me a few days),but then I started taking my time with the combat, stopped being greedy on attacking enemies, and learned their moves. After that, the game was so much easier. Of course, I died because of the little things, but that was expected. The music is amazing. I get chills during each boss fight. Definitely one of the best 2015 games. Id say game of the year.

    A high-quality, but punishing game

These games (Demon Souls, Dark Souls / Dark Souls 2, and Bloodborne) are unique, caliber titles that eschew typical genre gameplay. Bloodborne is a horror title, but not in the veins of Silent Hill or Outlast. It's also not a run-and-gun shooter, or a hack-n-slash fest. And it's not a stealth game. For lack of a better term, it is a "Souls" game. Which to me means considered, minimalist gameplay that changes throughout the game -- and it's not for everyone. A Souls game is a role-playing title that will challenge how you are used to playing games. You might play the same sequence over and over again. You might want to snap your controller in half. But if you're like me, filling in the gaps in the intentionally almost non-existent story, and beating increasingly difficult and ridiculously well-designed boss characters, could make this one of the more rewarding titles you play as a gamer. Souls Games are an acquired taste. And I don't think the is the best one (I still think Demon Souls is the best of the 4) -- But it is a stellar entry for gamers.

I have played all of the Souls games, so granted I was excited about this game and a huge fan of the genre. I have gotten several friends to try it out who also love it. If you have not played it, give it a shot as it is a really fun challenge.

Not as Good as Dark Souls

Being someone who beat and enjoyed Dark Souls, I decided to get Bloodborne and try it out. While Bloodborne is not a bad game, it is not a great successor to Dark Souls. There are fewer equipment options, the difficulty curve is utterly broken (I have beaten the game, and the most difficult boss might be the very first one), and obtaining healing items and ammo for your gun becomes a chore. The loading times in this game are also frequent (every time you want to level up, buy items, warp to a new area, or die) and long (though they have been shortened somewhat after a patch). Despite these gripes, the game can't help but rise to at least acceptable levels, but there are a lot of terrible hurdles to overcome in that process. I've heard this game has more in common with Demon's Souls than Dark Souls, so make of that what you will.

This is a great game that very much fits into the dark souls genre, meaning it is NOT easy. If you like action rpg's and crying a bit when your character doesn't quite make it (repeatedly), then you'll lvoe this game. Also has great graphics!

So what if this game is hard, so what you'll die dozens maybe even hundreds of times. You'll never feel as good as you will overcoming the challenges this game faces you with. Excellent atmosphere, gameplay, and multiplayer functions.

First played even after it has been out a couple years now. Although challenging at first it's an excellent game. The overall mechanics of the game forces me to want to keep playing even after dying over and over again.

Game creates a great atmosphere to explore. Controls bit frustrating till you get use to them. Also game is unforgiving, get stuck against corner or wall goodbye. Die in a few hits. Satisfying once you pass an area that takes forever.

As expected, this is an evolution of the souls formulas with some improvements that may or may not be loved. It essentially removes the creep and defend style from play forcing gamers to be more active compared to the dark souls games.

Great fighter game with good combat choices and lots of gadiets and weapons. Set in the town of Yharnam, nightmarish creatures attack you with ferocity. You need good controller skills to fight back and beat them. Many hours of good play. Can play again and again to get weapons you want.

This game is definitely worth the buy especially if you like games like Dark Souls. One downside is that it can be super frustrating when trying to beat some of the bosses. But other than that, it's a great game.

Although maybe not as difficult as its spiritual predecessors (so far anyway), this game provides enough challenge and reward to keep me hooked. Absolutely would recommend it for anyone looking for an action RPG with some bite to it.

While I am new to gaming I LOVE this game. The graphics and music are awesome. The game is difficult for a beginner but the amazing story keeps me going. Would really like a strategy guide and am looking forward to it's publication.
