This game is a MUST BUY! Everything about this game is worth playing. Don't expect an easy game however. Steep learning curve. Lovely graphics, lovely atmosphere, amazing game!!

I was reluctant to try Bloodborne due to the reputation of how difficult the souls-based games are but I'm so thrilled I gave it a chance. There is a steep learning curve and the game is extremely difficult in the opening level but it eventually opens up as you learn the gameplay mechanics and level your character up. Make no mistake, it's stays a challenge throughout but it's never unfair. The story (which is more than what it initially seems) and the amazing gothic setting only add to the experience. I can't recommend this game enough. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.

Amazing game through a gorgeous land that imposes the feeling of approaching the bottom of a descent into madness. However, it could improve in the extended load times.

I love blood borne. This is the best game I've played on the PS4 so far. I should also mention that Dark Souls was my favorite game on the PS3\360 generation so Im sure I have some bias but seriously this game is just fantastic. The level design is masterful, the enemies and bosses are equally as masterful. This game is a masterpiece and I recommend this to anyone who likes a good challenge, or actually likes when a game doesn't hold your hand and lets you feel real accomplishment went you make progress. Couldn't recommend this enough, just be patient in the beginning and once you get a hold of the mechanics the game is incredible

This game is sorta similar to Dark Souls, but also different. This starts off kinda hard, but don't give up; Keep going/trying and level up. This is a really fun game.

This game is super addictive. Although it's insanely difficult for me, the feeling of achievement after beating a boss feels super rewarding. No wonder why this game is super famous in PS4 communities.

Hard, frustrating, and genuinely painful to play. If you haven't tried it you're missing out because that's what makes it so great.

If you have played any of the Dark Souls games, you will be familiar with the play style of Bloodborne. The biggest difference is that in Bloodborne, the combat is faster and requires you to have better timing and reflexes. It also encourages a more aggressive combat style, because you can regain lost health by immediately counterattacking. The boss battles are very difficult, and you can expect to die many times. But it is very satisfying once you learn how to defeat the enemies, like performing a dance of death. My only complaint is that there are no good shields (instead of blocking, you parry using a well timed pistol shot). Also there are very few weapons (maybe a dozen total) and the differences in armor are so small that they are basically cosmetic.

Do you enjoy a good story with great gameplay? Then this is for you! Sound...graphics...story are all amazing. Plus,if you're a gamer,this will challenge your skills

If you love the Demon Souls and Dark Souls series, you will really enjoy Bloodborne. I love the new setting. No more looking like an Armored Knight. It is set in the Victorian era. You start with a melee weapon in your right hand and a pistol in the left. This sets the game apart because you are no longer blocking with a shield. You need to be on your toes to dodge and roll away from the enemy. Stun them with your gun and follow up with a hit from your melee weapon. It's just as tough and looks amazing.

Definitely not for the feint of heart. If you've played any of the Soul's games you will catch on fine. This is an incredibly tough game but when you defeat an enemy you feel a great sense of accomplishment. Quick breakdown: + Graphics are outstanding. Character models look great and the city around you feels alive as well. + Sound is amazing. The steel and blood splatter sounds are well done. Music is also a perfect fit. + Gameplay is at the heart of the game. You must be able to master movements and time attacks, parry, dodge, etc if you want to survive. Item management is also vital Love this game. Serious GOTY contender.

How to review Bloodborne without spoiling the game? You are a hunter. Your job is to hunt beasts. It's what you are told to do. But there are forces at play beyond reason and beyond understanding. Nightmares, forbidden knowledge, unspeakable science. Do you have the insight to see the truth? Highlights: trick weapons, gun parry, amazing artistry of world and sound. The game rewards fast aggressive play. Shields engender passivity. Health regain rewards the counter strike. For many, Bloodborne is a $400 game as it's a PS4 exclusive. And these people would be right.

Im glad i bought ps4. This is a tough game, but a very great game. Eerie atmosphere and scary monsters. Filled with a lot of weapons and hidden paths. Definately a mush buy.

I have played all of the Dark Souls games on PC and really wanted to play Bloodborne since it was released. I finally decided there were enough PS4 exclusives to purchase a PS4 Pro. Even if this was the only game I ever played on my PS4, it would have been worth my purchase. It takes the mechanics of Dark Souls and streamlines and perfects it. The game is faster paced and feels really good. The story and environment are the most engaging out of all the Soulsborne games. The only downside is that's pretty linear and a little shorter than most Souls games.

This was the game that was a deciding factor in my purchase of a PS4, and it's excellent. Much has been made of the "difficulty" or "challenge" players can expect to encounter in Bloodborne and the other games in FromSoftware's catalog, and while that may be a barrier to entry for some, those who are not put off will find a game that rewards patience and exploration in a way few games do. Yes, there are flaws in this game, moments where the game feels cheap because of how you died or the mechanics aren't executed quite as precisely as a game of this nature requires, but those problems never overshadow the experience.

Liking the graphics and the different things you can do in the free world... It could get difficult sometimes but you get used to the game the more you play with it...

This game is very much like the Dark Souls series (and why shouldn't it be since it's made by the same people). If you love the tough hack-and-slash games where you have no clue where you are going or what you are doing, this game is for you. The graphics are great on the PS4. The storyline is a solid 5. Just be prepared for frustration and the feeling of accomplishment when you finally figure out where you are supposed to be going and defeat a crazy hard boss. There are still people out there who will come to your aide if you ring the bell, but I think the number is dwindling as the game gets more and more dated.

Wow! I knew I was getting a challenging game, but it really takes time to get to playing it competently. It has great gothic and haunting atmosphere and doesn't pull its punches.

This is designed the same way as Demon Souls, unforgiving in many senses. I like it, but haven't spent enough time with it. I kinda have a backlog of games. But I enjoyed Demon Souls, this one isn't much different.

Amazing game, just the first 1hr of game play is worth the 60 dollars. Puts anything else out to shame, great story, great mechanics, outstanding visually. No flaws here.
