    Glutton for Punishment

The game carries on the tradition of the Demon/Dark Souls games by being incredibly challenging and devoid of any narrative plot elements other than vague mumblings between you and closed doors. The level design is intricate and sprawling, but you won't appreciate that because you'll be dying over and over forced to retread the same ground. The combat is reminiscent of Dark Souls but teases you to be much more offensive. So you die more. The sense of relief you feel after completing a boss is less like genuine fun and more like the sensation you'd have after paying all your bills the day before they're late. That is to say it's nerve wracking, not really fun, just so hard that you feel like you've accomplished something when a chunk of it is over, strictly because you don't have to deal with that chunk of the game anymore. I'd recommend this to people with addictive personalities and lots of patience, but to no one that I like. You're better off playing Dragon Age Inquisition on Nightmare if you want a challenging and interactive experience in an expansive world with strong character development. If this is your cup of tea though, you might also enjoy a game called Russian Roulette.

This game will make you frustrated. However if you like games that are challenging, this game is for you. The environment and graphics are top notch, and serve to draw you in.

Fast-paced, difficult, frustrating, and rewarding. These games are what From Software is known for and they have outdone themselves.

So far, I haven't gotten far in the game and I hope I'm nowhere near the middle. This game is not for the weak and unless you're use to soul's series you will die a lot! Many might say the loading time is too long and I agree, but when your exploring around and never have To deal with random loading when going into a new area you'll know why it takes 40sec to load in the game everytime. Bit of advise, if you buy this game, be ready to spend endless hours in just the first area, yes you heard right in just the first area. Get use to the controllers and the game mechanics before giving up on this game. Good luck on your hunt!

Great story and cool game play but not for those with tendency to throw controllers... this game is so hard it makes you rage.

Really good game, but it comes with a challenge. Bloodborne is part of the Dark Souls family, so I hope people know what they are getting into. Difficulty level aside, this is a rewarding game if you put the time into it. Lots of RPG elements and open world concepts in the game. Many weapons and gear to collect and upgrade. The bosses can be very challenging as well.

Great game, but shorter than the Souls games

I really like this game. It feels just like a Souls game, and a lot of mechanics and even that hardcore difficulty is still intact. The only problem is once you beat the game and the Chalice Dungeons, there's nothing else to do except PvP. But it takes a long time to find someone, and once you do they could easily go into a boss and kick you out of their world. And if you level too high you'll never be able to find anyone. The length the game is significantly shorter than say Dark Souls. I wish it was longer, but I got my enjoyment out of it and probbaly will only play it now when a friend wants me to join him to PvP.

The pace of battle is much quicker than DS 1 & 2. It plays smoothly and it feels less punishing than the others. If you like Dark Souls, this is a great game.

From beginning to end, Bloodborne revels in its unique, if somewhat masochistic, approach to entertainment. There are very few games that cause you to curse their developer one minute and sing their praises the next, but this is one of them. It is, quite simply, a sensationally designed and superbly refined offering. Love the graphics especially, one of my favorites.

The game can be very frustrating and takes a long time to get used to. If you easily give up or play games solely on easy you might want to reconsider getting this game. Its very satisfying to finally kill a boss or enemy that you've been stuck on for hours. The one thing that can get annoying quickly is that every time you die you have to wait for the load screen which can take awhile. There are rumors that the developers are working towards shorter load time so hopefully that gets patched in soon.

Bloodeborne is the kind of game that keeps you locked in at all times watching every corner there is for imminent death. Albeit, this may sometimes the challenge in the game can make you want to rage quit. However, the feeling you get when you finally take down that boss and advance is a jump off the couch and fist pump the television experience that no other game delivers. Buy it, try it out, and get sucked into a game that From Software delivers when most other games only wish to. Enter the Fray

I LOVE dark souls 1+2, even if you havent played those, you can play this. For veterans of the souls series, same difficulty but just as rewarding. Game is more aggressive(no more turtle-ing) and adding guns to parry is awesome. The trick weapons add new depths to an already great combat system. For newcomers to the series, this game is very difficult, but if you spend time learning the mechanics youll find that this game stands apart. DONT PASS THIS GAME UP! 10/10 5 STARS. Praise the Sun!
