What can I say, it is a Dark Souls game by it's very nature. That alone makes it enjoyable for fans of the series. I do have some gripes with this game, I don't like not having the ability to block and the combat is too stiff for the pacing the game is trying to set so difficulty can be artificial sometimes. I would not recommend this game for people who are new to the series. This game would probably be more enjoyed by the veteran fans as even I find it a bit off putting.

Amazing gamem I played demon's souls on PS3 so many times. Its like you're forced into being a dexterity build. There's no blocking only dodging and parrying. It's still very challenging. The world is very immersive, there's a lot more story/lore to discover than the previous souls games. You're thrown into the game and have no idea what is going on. And you slowly discover what happened to this place and the people there. It's so good.

some of the best graphics on a ps4 game ever but the downside is it is an unforgiving game. you will be tested it is not a walk thru the park game.

I have only beaten the first two bosses, but this game is very fun. It feels like a current 3rd person action game with game mechanics that are from the 80’s and/or Nintendo era. I’ve spent a large amount of time trying to figure out where to go and dying repeatedly in the process. Each enemy, mini-boss and boss has a pattern that I have been trying to learn in order to stay alive. It is a difficult game but highly addicting. I have never played a soul’s game before this.

Just amazing just be warned you will die a lot does have a learning curve but once you get it this game just shines

Not as hard as everyone says. Just takes skill and patience. Awesome graphics and visual style. Addictive gameplay.

replay value is just not there once game is beaten. First time around the game is overall enjoyable but will get frustrating at times upon a lot of death.

A difficult and challenging game but not as hard as some in the Souls series. Definitely worth picking up.

If you are a fan of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1, this is a natural successor to those games and you will fit right in. It definitely feels like it's own game though, so still be prepared to die! If you are new to the genre, I recommend it if you consider yourself a patient gamer. This game requires a lot of restarting sections, as you truly learn from those deaths. It is not a cheap game, and rewards carefully thought out play. This will likely be my GOTY!

Surprisingly, I don't typically buy into games that include "Zombies" in them... But a friend of mine highly recommended me to give this one a try & indeed his advice was quite good. Actually, I often take his recommendations to heart (albeit with a bit of caution)! This time his recommendation was very sound. If you enjoy adventures that offer distinct scenery along with "Zombies" that don't make life all that bad, you probably will enjoy this game. It does take a bit of determination to succeed, but isn't that why we play these things... Cheers & good luck!

Very punishing and no tutorial whatsoever. But if you can just give it a chance it will not stay that way for long.I say give it several hours before you make up your mind. I was ready to give up but didn't and kept going. Starts to click after several hours of play but not before then.Very good game.Makes that Hardline offering from EA look like a grade school effort.

its hard and frustrating, however its addictive and beautiful. the areas and enemies are so diverse it never seems like a grind. overall a great game!

Unlike most current games, Bloodborne just gives you an environment where you figure out how to play instead of being taught every step of the way. While this makes this game more challenging than most current games, it makes you feel like you've truly earned your victories against the vicious enemies this game throws at you. The AI is tough but fair and there are huge areas to explore. This game is a must buy for ps4 owners looking for an enjoyable challenge.

Another master piece from Miyazaki. The evolutions from the Souls series are fantastic. The change to game play from the Regain system as well as the new weapon interactions/combat controls are fantastic. Yes, the load times are long and I'm not confident that they really will be patched out but not a deal breaker. There have been some frame rate complaints but, so far, it has been more consistent and playable frame rates than any past Souls game on a console.

If you play this game you will die and die and die over again. But once you get past that and get better it is very rewarding. This is a game where you are the skill points. You could have a powerful character with great weapons but if you don't know what you are doing it wont matter because this game will devour you. You will be tempted to put this game down and never play again but get past that and it will be one of the greatest games you play this year.

Great game graphics are great as well. I liked the way the game play is its not an easy game so I liked that.

This is such great game! It's similar to dark souls but faster. The only problem is it can be quite hard in the beginning without lack of checkpoints

Really hard game but amazing. It's probably the best PS4 game of 2015 and once you play it you'll agree.
