If you have played soul games like Diablo 3, WOW, Bloodborne is a next level experience. Just get used to dying A LOT at least initially till you level up. I was so frustrated that I was beginning to regret the purchase. Then after 16 hours of play time, I got it figured out. It is a great gaming experience. The game environment can be completely devoid of nature, dark and gloomy but still not as scary as some other games though. So still enjoying...

The game is amazing, the pace is much better here than in old souls games. The atmosphere/world and monster design is FANTASTIC. The difficulty is there for those looking for a challenge. Now to the bad, the framerate suffers quite a bit and happens frequently and those loading screens are pretty abysmal. There are patches on their way but as of now the game does have some performance issues. It's a great game if you can get past the annoyances.

Best next-gen game thus far, IMO. Very challenging though--not for someone who is just looking to cruise through a story campaign. There isn't much narrative in the game, unless you meticulously read through all the lore entries for all the items to piece together the story. Multiplayer is great. Really shows you how there's two kinds of people in this world--those who want to cooperate toward a common goal, and jerks who just want to drag you down.

Difficult to play at first if you haven't played any of the dark souls series, but very fun and challenging.

This is an absolute masterpiece. From the enemies to the amazing map layouts to the amazing and fun bosses.... This game is a steal for the price. It's a classic.

Pretty overwhelming in the beginning. After the steepish learning curve, it becomes very involved and quite good. Great atmosphere and rewarding.

I will warn that this is a very difficult trial and error type game. Patience is a must but very rewarding.

The game harkens back to the days of gaming in the 80's, where some made you earn through methodical gameplay, rather than a hand holding experience. While it draws from it's well known Soul Siblings, it is a little more tempered on the difficulty. Great graphics, art, mood, and the co-op mode with a friend is an absolute blast. If you want a challenging Action RPG, this game is a no brainer, especially at the $20 price point.

Many games baby you every step of the way - not Bloodborne. This game challenges you from beginning to end and forces you to upgrade your character when a boss beats you with no effort. Nothing is handed to you which makes everything feel like such an achievement. Not to mention the visuals are some of the best on PS4 to date. You will get a whole lot of playing time with this game. In short, Bloodborne is an instant classic that begs to be played.

If you like Dark Souls this game is up your alley. If you like challenging games this is a good pickup.

It's taken me a while to get into this game since it has an actual learning curve and monsters that kill you for a change. Frustratingly fun!

This game has an amazing atmosphere. If you like the gameplay of the Souls Series, definitely check this one out.

This game is as brutal as they say but if you can get it down then it's rewarding. Looks nice too.

It took about 4 hours, but I finally got the hang of the game and am now having a blast. Definitely not for everybody. Difficult, but rewarding.

If you never played a demon/dark souls game before then you're in for a treat. You can get frustrated and die A LOT. The game is not forgiving for a newcomer. That said if you are patient enough the satisfaction of defeating "X" enemy gives you that feel of accomplishment. Story isn't as involving as current RPG's (Dragon Age) but it is there. Certain side quests are affected when you trigger an event/boss so it is possible to miss something. There are a few minor things that I have a personal peeve with so I'm only giving this a 4/5 stars.

Bloodborne is a deep, rich gothic action rpg that challenges your reflexes. Not recommended for novices.

This game is awesome, but be prepared for a challenge and plenty of restarts! Controls take some getting use to and then its time to get busy!!

Picked this up for my wife during their $10 Black Friday sale. Now she can suffer just like I have. I was never a fan of the Souls games, but this one is a different beast altogether. Replace dark fantasy with Lovecraftian horror and a greater emphasis on being on the offense. It’s as difficult as you’ve heard it is, but when that magical moment happens and you fall into its rhythm, you’ll be hooked.

Difficulty pushing you to the brink, graphics that pop and altogether a majestic game.
