This is a very hard game but if you persevere it is a lot of fun and visually stimulating.

If you like dark souls this one is just like it. Good time killer and has plenty of difficulty for you.

First thing you should know is that Bloodborne is insanely difficult. I have never played the Dark Souls series but from what I understand all of these games pride themselves on being incredibly difficult. That would be fine if there was any entertainment value in the game mechanics, story, design, etc. However, not only is this game so hard that it might make you smash a few controllers, it is so boring. There is nothing fun in the fight mechanics, level design, or characters. All of the enemies are the same mindless drones that you can manipulate very easily. The problem is that the fight mechanics are so bad that even these mindless drones can get a lucky hit on you and kill you. Even that wouldn't be that bad except there are hardly any checkpoints in this game. I played for over an hour just to have one guy get that lucky hit on me and now all of that progress is lost. You lose everything and have to start over. This happens over and over and over and over again until you lose your mind or turn the game off for good. Which I've decided to do. One other thing, you die a million times and the load times after each death are terrible. It gets old super fast.

This game exceeded all my expectations. I never played a Dark Souls game and wasn't sure how I would like the difficulty. I've found it's way more rewarding to build up, practice your strategies and eventually.. finally... get that victory over a difficult enemy. Great game, for $20 you can't beat this. If it's cheaper than $20 at any point you should just buy it to tell people you own it.

Dollar for play value= very high! Challenging so if you're looking for a cake walk buy something like gears of war.

Its a challenging game to play but is definitely a great story and boss fights take quite a while to figure out how to beat.

If you are familiar with the Darksouls series of games, you know what you're getting into. If not, prepare to be challenged and DIE. A lot! This game is unforgiving and you will pay for mistakes, at the same time you will feel rewarded the further you get. If you love a challenge, this is a game for you. If you prefer to be guided along and spoon fed until the game is beaten, look elsewhere.

Graphics are great. Game is extremely challenging, but fun and looks awesome on PS4.

Veteran souls players and newcomers alike will find this game to be a thrilling experience. With it's challenging and solid game play those who hunger for glory through self triumph over the games tough enemies and bosses will come again and again to press on and strive for even harder challenges. Overall Bloodborne is a fast paced challenge of a game that will leave all of you hunters ready for more blood.

This game is not for the faint of heart, or those who want hand holding. It's a tremendously rewarding game, but only if you are the type of gamer who willing to face hardship / many deaths / repetition order to progress. It's perfectly possible that you will be stuck on a boss for hours, but must keep learning from your mistakes in order to succeed. I haven't been this engrossed in a game in a long time.

This game has excellent and intricate level of detail. The mechanics are godfathered in from the souls games because the same developer is behind Bloodborne as well. This is not a very beginner-friendly game. However, the learning mechanics aren't steep. Dying in the game is as much a part of the game as it is playing. You want die as few times as possible, but it's not a big deal to do so once in a while.

Game looks very good and the RPG elements you will like as well. This is a hard game and the boss battle are brutal.

...but more forgiving than Dark Souls, with arguably a more approachable system and aesthetic. You will die (A LOT), and that's ok. If you keep at it, you will get better and eventually get good. Then you will die some more. haha. A great title with a legitimate challenge. At $14.99 (the time of writing this review) it's well worth it to discover if this sort of game is "your thing".

If you love souls games, you won't be disappointed. The weapons are cool and the boss fights were fun. I recommend getting the old hunters dlc if you play this game,

I've never been so awesomely frustrated at a game before in my life. Having barely any save points and strategizing every move I make fighting a boss is so rewarding playing this game. Bloodborne looks absolutely beautiful graphically and the environment is stunning. Anyone who likes a challenging video game would love it!

Im new to this type of gameplay. I gave into the hype and i can honestly say it lives up. This game is really tactical because the slightest mistep can doom you. You need to plan and gauge your enemy's movement. You will die...a lot! Ive been playing this game for hours and im still in the same starting area! Idk if i'll ever finish this game, but def worth its price. Thats rare for me to say these days.

Bloodborne is definitely a good game. It's difficult and frustrating, but not to the point of being completely unfair. I struggled on bosses my friend beat first try and I beat bosses first try he couldn't. It definitely feels like the bosses are harder if you don't repeatedly die getting to the bosses. That may have been on purpose. It's a good time, I just lost interest about 2 bosses from the end. Best boss in the game looks like something from dark crystal. Its awesome just to look at.

Game play is great! Bosses are very difficult, but I love a good challenge. Must play!

Love soulsborn franchise and got in through elden ring. This game is absolutely amazing and has one of the most compelling stories I have ever played.
