Bloodborne is easily one of the best games for the PS4. I would list all of the things that make this a fantastic experience, but nearly every aspect of the game is awe-inspiring. The only minor annoyance for me are occasional frame rate drops in certain areas that pull you away from the immersive experience that is Bloodborne. If you are considering buying this game do yourself a favor and dive in.

Great game, difficult it definitely doesn't hold your hand through the gameplay but if you like a good challenging game this is definitely for you. Recommend playing.

Really enjoy the game, but it is very difficult to play. It's brutal, yet rewarding!

If you never played demon souls or either of the dark souls games then this is a great time to get into this style of game. The game requires patients and has a steep learning curve, but once you get past the initial section of the game and start to learn the mechanics it becomes very rewarding to see "Prey Slayed" popup on the screen after you defeat a boss. I spent over 50 hours playing this game and if I wanted I could have put in 50 more. It is a massive game that is a lot of fun.

Do you like being frustrated? Do you like wanting to throw something? Do you like doing the same thing over and over until you finally get things PERFECT? Bloodborne is the game for you. Don't get me wrong. Even though every thing I listed sounds horrible...the feeling of accomplishment after kicking the game's tail after it tested your resolve is utterly and immensely satisfying. Until you get there, be warned. If you're a Souls veteran, its just another journey. A good one at that.

If you were a fan of everything that is Souls like in the world. Bloodborne is a perfect game to whet your appetite. It is just as expertly crafted as all the other Dark Souls titles. However this one is a lot faster and relies more on Speed and Agility then timing and defense. If they're really enjoyed the game and cannot wait to see more titles from this studio.

For those who tried Dark Souls and wanted it to be faster... here you go. A lot more emphasis on aggressive play than defensive. Shields are non-existent except for one in-game shield that breaks in one hit. From Software want you to play this far differently than Dark Souls. I love this game, and much more than Dark Souls. Highly recommend.

If you're a fan of the Souls series already this is a no brainer and you probably already have it. However, if you're new to the series I would say this a decent starting point. If you don't have patience for dying in games or learning and improving this might not be for you. But if you're willing to give a game a chance and some time I think you'll get a lot out of this.

This is one of the few games that live up to hype. When and if you attempt to purchase the game, please stay away from negative reviews because they all say the same thing. Another thing is if you are casual or have not played any of the other souls games, or if you have and didn't like it you will have problems with this game. I and many others enjoy this game please give it a shot.

Gotten bored with games today? Not offering enough challenge? Well Bloodborne is for you! Imagine a game that respects you but wants you to fail. The game will challenge you in ways to approach an enemy and when to strike. You'll need quick reflexes as the gameplay is tight. The greatest fix in the game is overcoming a true challenge, there is nothing like that feeling. TRUE ACCOMPLISHMENT.

Set in a more recent era of a very Londonish background, the game has you fighting monsters with a curse of tainted blood. As a hunter your job is to kill these monsters and eliminate the curse. It is a much more fast paced game than the Souls games. Rewards you more for being on the offensive. Punishing but rewarding, definitely one of the best games on PS4 and out there right now.

Really good game play, hard but rewarding decent story with some multi-player

There’s incredible power to Bloodborne. It’s not just an amazing dance of dodges and swipes through encounters that often push the limits of reflexes and endurance, it’s a thought-provoking experience that’s wormed its way into my mind and melted my resolve. SOFTWARE yet again did it to dominate the gaming industry with such masterpiece! A MUST PLAY!

This game is amazing. It is graphically beautiful and intensely challenging - but also rewarding. It is a lot of fun to destroy bosses with multiplayer help, and the Chalice Dungeons add more longevity to the game. Over 50 hours and there's still more to do, on the first playthrough! (New Game + starts after you've beaten the game, with much stronger enemies for an even greater challenge).

This game is pretty amazing. If anyone has played any of the Dark Souls series, this game is a must-play title. If anyone has not played Dark Souls due to intimidation, I still recommend this game. Its challenging but fair. Gritty and Dark but beautiful. Just buy it..I bought mine on sale at Best Buy for $14.99. The gameplay and quality is still worthy of being full price.

Let me start by saying this game is fantastic. If you're familiar with the Demon/Dark Souls series, this game will be familiar. The game isn't for everyone thanks to its crushing difficulty. However, if you are looking for a challenge and want that sweet satisfaction that comes from finally defeating a boss after dying 20 times, this is a game for you. Would be 5 stars, but there are a few frame rate issues and difficulty connecting for co-op that forces me to mark it down.
