May you find your worth in the waking world. A unique experience in the FromSoftware lineup. Great level design, gritty theming, and unique weaponing make this a fan favorite. While the game is locked to 720P @ 30FPS, it plays at consistent frame rates on the PS5. Hopefully Sony will give this game a boost to a higher resolution and frame rate soon.

Started playing this last night and even though I've clocked at least 30 hours, according to online guides I haven't even beaten the first part of the first level. Also if you keep trying to fight the monster in the beginning and keep waking up in Hunter's Dream, go up the stairs and you'll find a sword and gun that will make things MUCH easier.

I'm a huge RPG / Survival horror fan so I read the description and thought this would be cool. It looks great but I am not a pro level gamer so it can get difficult for me. Now my nephews tear it up, young person reflexes I guess. Catch it on sale and you won't be disappointed!!

I had every intention of staying away from this game knowing it was made from the creators of Dark Souls. I can't justify paying so much for a game designed to beat me down over and over again. But I'm glad I gave in because this is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had on the PS4.

I'm like the majority of gamers; dont play on hard or hard games. I've tried Dark Souls and I cannot play it because of the difficulty for myself. This is LIKE that but to me feels a little more easy. Plus the atmosphere is amazing! This game is the first real HARD game I enjoy!

You will die many, many times. This game has a very steep learning curve, but is also very rewarding. If your the kind of person that likes strolling through the game as an overpowered god-like character go elsewhere, this game is for the experienced and strategic planners only. That being said, its slightly less challenging than other games in the game directors line-up.

I am not gonna say this is a bad game it was cheap and it was too hard for me so I have stopped playing its not the games fault I suck at it and it seems cool in theory give it a shot honestly but be prepared you will be over powered on many occasions by too many enemies.

As a spiritual cousin of the Souls series, Bloodborne is full of challenge, intrigue, and lots of dying. Seasoned veterans will find new things to enjoy and exploit; newcomers may find the self-guided exploration and intricate combat frustrating at first but can learn to "git gud".

If you're easily frightened, this isn't the game for you. But if you like dark atmospheric horror, exploration and extensive battle systems, this is a great game to pass the time.

I would not only recommend this game to friends, but I would recommend this to anyone that liked Dark Souls, or has thought about liking the Souls Series. This game challenges even the most veteran of players (including myself, death count was nearly 200 my first time playing through).

Its a beautiful game. The environment is just breathtaking. However, there is not much difference in difficulty with the Dark Souls series and Bloodborne. It still makes you want to throw your controller at the TV but was fun for the first four hours trying to get past the beginning of the game. Well worth the purchase if you have the patience of a saint.

Bought a PS4 after years of being loyal to XBOX 360, and this game validated my decision. If you're looking for a game to get lost in - this is it. You'll be put through the full spectrum of emotions (Confident, Scared, Anxious, Angry, Furious, Amazed, Satisfied) and leave the experience wanting more.

The thing you have to realize in these games is that they will beat you up. You will die, you will not destroy the simple villains. You will be humbled. Until it clicks, and you get timing down, and you remember that crow is hiding in the barrels. Then, you pick up steam and it becomes very rewarding.

Fans of Dark Souls will love this game. The fast-paced gameplay has many tough moments, but your time and effort pay off as you refine your approach in fighting. Few games in today's era are as deep and interesting as Bloodborne; as you play, you are rewarded for persevering through challenges.

Cant speak highly enough of this game. The setting and gameplay are the best ive ever experienced.

The storyline of this game is great but this is a very challenging game!

This a very interesting take on this genre. It's more about offense than the Dark Souls games which seem to focus on defense. The progression in the game is a bit easier than Dark Souls but some people prefer it otherwise. For $15-$20 you can't go wrong with this game.

It's a lot of fun and much more fast paced than the souls games. I like it more because it feels more like a action oriented hack and slash game than the sit around and wait gameplay of the souls games. It also has a really cool setting and motif. The environments are just incredible.

I'm not usually into hard games but this one caught my eye and I'm so glad it did! I've never played souls games before but I went in the game knowing I would die a lot. The game is more rewarding than any other and makes you really feel proud to have beat an area or boss. Must own game for the PS4.

Bloodborne is a whole new game with it's own mechanics and lore. Any Dark souls fan will have a great time with this. For other's unfamiliar with this title and company's other works, it's a tough game. The difficultly is insane and not everyone can handle it which is why it is loved by many.
