Bloodborne was developed by From Software which many people will know as the developer of the Dark Souls games. Bloodborne eschews the medieval aesthetic of the souls series in favor of a Victorian style filled with Lovecraftian monsters. The gameplay is highly reminiscent of the souls games but faster paced and more accessible for new players.

From the people that brought you the Dark Souls series, an addictive new franchise with a lot of the same challenge and creativeness that characterized the Souls games. For the player that does not want their hand held and that can deal with some frustrations. Your avatar WILL die....a lot.

Just like the Demon and Dark Souls that came before it, Bloodbourne is brutally difficult. However, that's the point of these games, right? This game is tough, but with each death comes the knowledge on what NOT to do next time. If you enjoyed Dark Souls I and II, you will love Bloodbourne.

I'm sure everyone is already aware of the Dark Souls series to be one of the best franchises to grace RPGs. Bloodbourne is a fresh take on the souls series set in a new world with its own quirks and lore. Definitely a great pick up at this price and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a challenge and a game with deep mechanics.

Yo I be luvin dis game soo much yo. It be like , maybe da hardest game I EVER seen EVER in ma life. I thought , this game couldn't be that hard, but it was. I almost cried because i died so much. But it was stilllllllll fun. please. buy the game. it will make you have a better life. TA DAH.

Graphics are good and story line is pretty good. Enjoyable.

i never played any of the Souls games before and went in expecting a tough game. It was a lot harder than I thought and almost quit playing but I stuck it out and now its one of my favorite games on the PS4. The graphics and gameplay are amazing! The challenge is tough but very rewarding.

Bloodborne is the first game that I've played from the Dark Souls game series. It's a lot of fun, but can be frustrating at times when fighting bosses. However, that's where the game shines the most, because anything easy is just boring. This game requires skill and practice to overcome.

A year ago, I rented this game and immediately quit after I died the first time. Needless to say, I was tempted to try it again and give it another chance and I'm glad I did. Great graphics and sound, deep gameplay and challenging difficulty make for an outstanding game.

I may be biased as a fan of the Dark Souls/Demon Souls series, but I felt this was a great game in the same vein but with more of an emphasis on fast, aggressive game play and interesting environment and monster design. Recommend to any who enjoy a challenge

This game is brutal! I enjoy it a lot but sometimes do get frustrated. It's a dark and gory game, but the world and atmosphere is amazing. Definitely not a casual game. Hardcore gamers will enjoy the challenge. If you don't have gray hairs yet, you will after playing this game..

If you have a PS4 and you enjoy games that are incredibly difficult, this game is for you. Sort of a faster paced twist on the Dark Souls formula. Instead of a medieval fantasy setting, this game is inspired by the horror stories of H.P. Lovecraft. An excellent game!

Fans of the souls games will be very familiar with the hard as nails difficulty that From Software games provide. Bloodborne is an excellent spiritual successor to the series and changes up environments and combat just enough to distance itself from the Souls series.

This game is punishing right from the beginning. It rewards you for perfection and punishes you for every misstep. Although it is very difficult, it is an incredibly fun and addictive game. The completion of each section and boss feels very rewarding and keeps you coming back for more.

Very challenging game and very difficult at times but very rewarding once you get past the bosses in the game. Not your typical button smash game. You will need to have a lot of patience and use strategy. Could be the best PS4 game out so far. At least until Uncharted 4 is released.

Many refer to this game as a more fast paced, slightly easier Dark Souls (which I admittedly have not been able to get into), and that's pretty much true. Dark, gothic atmosphere with many of the great features in the Souls series. Must have for RPG lovers with a PS4
