Gameplay is solid, story is great! I highly recommend

If you are a fan of the Souls series you need this to play this game. And even if you never played a Souls game before I still recommend it. I cannot stop playing it. This is my first PS4 title and I cannot be happier. Do yourself a favor, and add this game to your collection.

The game is very well done. Tight combat mechanics, creative world, and intriguing lore. However, the difficulty can be frustrating for someone like me who hasn't played Demon Souls and Dark Souls games before.

Never played a souls game before when I walked into Best Buy on Black Friday and said can I get a copy of bloodborne to which his response was "dude that's hardcore". I died a lot over and over again and it feels so good! Get this game it's the best game on ps4 by far

This game is hard at first but it really gets easier as you play more. IT walks you hand in hand as you get to master the game play mechanics. I love the co op play and definitely the sound. If you have 5.1 or a virtual headset you'll immerse your self into the world.

Patience is a virtue! This game is creepy, gory, and fun!! Blood and terror at every turn, replay value is high, and so is the difficulty. Good luck with this one, try not to throw your controller at your TV!!

I thought the game play and weapon choices are great, but the game is simply a bit too hard for me. I'd recommend to play this if you're willing to invest the time to learn the mechanics and not discourage by constant death and replay the last 30 min before you die...

This game is a masterpiece and it became my favorite game of all time. The world is breathtaking with its gothic and victorian architecture and its atmosphere. This game is challenging but its barrier to entry is easy. I would recommend this game to anyone who is wanting to try a souls game for the first time.

Ever hear from those people that LOVE their job - that don't mind the blood, sweat, and tears, because at the end of the day it's worth it for them? Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people, but playing this game may be as close as I ever get to that feeling. The game is gorgeous and feels like rewarding, hard fought for, work.

There's really only one word that captures the essence of Bloodborne: hard. It's not a game that's going to hold your hand. It is enjoyable, however. If you like Dark Souls and thought, you know, this just isn't hard enough, then Bloodborne may be your cup of tea. If you don't like to suffer and work, don't get the game.

This game isn't for all, very challenging but fair in it's difficulty. Once the game clicks, it's one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. Wouldn't recommend this for those the more casual gamers, it would put you off and make you mad. But that's half the fun.

Much like other games in the Souls universe, this game is not for your casual gamer. The learning curve at the beginning of the game is very steep. However, if you stick with it (and probably die more times than you can imagine) you will eventually be left with intense feelings of satisfaction with each boss you defeat.

If you like Souls games you'll love this. If you never played one you'll still love this. One of the better games I have played in quite some time. Dripping with atmosphere and careful attention to detail. The level design is a gold standard to judge other games worlds by.

This game does not hold your hand. It's tough, it's frustrating, and ultimately rewarding. You will die a lot if you aren't familiar with the series, but the feeling of accomplishment when you overcome an enemy is worth it. The setting is beautiful and the combat is fast.

This was a great purchase for me. It is one of the few games that are challenging enough to last awhile. Normally my son beats them in a week or less and I feel like I wasted money. This one, however, he has been playing for about two months now and is still enjoying it.

Great game!!! I have only gotten through about half of it so far and love it. If you liked Demons Souls, Dark Souls I & II , then you'll like this game...as long as you like using weapons. Pure magic caster types might not dig it as much though, because you can't be one.

This is the main reason I bought a ps4. I am a huge fan of Fromsoft's other works and Bloodborne scratches the Dark Souls itch. This game delivers the souls-like experience while having enough new bells and whistles to not feel like a rehash of Dark Souls.

If you enjoy Dark Souls and the like, you'll love this game. However, if you're not familiar with the genre (which I wasn't at first), prepare to die - a lot. They do not sugarcoat things like most current games do, and you have to figure things out mostly on your own.

The beginning is the roughest, especially if you don't normally play games where you need to level up. The first stages without knowing how to advance or just being lucky in your fighting are difficult. Once you get past the graveyard and bridge and vast wide area opens up. dungeons to explore where different rooms can occur but you have to earn all the things through fighting and collecting. keep playing look at youtube videos if you are truly stuck. if not to find a solution, to see that it isn't impossible.

Not your average game, be ready for pain and frustration. The game doesn't give you anything, you have to earn every step. Oh yeah, the title of the game should tell you something about the game. Red and black is the color theme.
