I'd tried playing the first dark souls when it had came out and it wasn't much to my liking, I could appreciate the game with it's difficulty and mechanics. When I saw bloodborne and how different but similar it was to the souls games I was willing to give a from software game another try. I was not disappointed in the slightest, I enjoyed this game over dark souls for many reasons, a couple being; the faster paced combat and primarily just the setting it was in, it just had a creepier darker feel than dark souls. I personally enjoyed roaming a dark Victorian city filled with a variety of monsters and with the story providing a mystery to unravel. So in short, it has a creepy ambiance with creatures that can be quite scary, morbid story with great lore contributing to it, and the combat is just plain fun and gratuitously satisfying.

If you have a PS4 then you need to have Bloodborne in your collection. This game will push you more then most other games. It has a steep learning curve and can be frustrating at times because of the difficulty of the enemies and bosses. Once you understand how to play the game and start making progress, you'll find it one of the best gaming experience this generation. Don't Miss!

I haven't played any of the Dark Souls games, so this was new to me. After a little while of learning the controls, I started to love this game. The environments are Gothic and beautiful. The monsters/creatures are great looking, and tough. This is a game, where you're going to die a lot, I mean a lot, but it's still fun over and over. I can't wait to get back to playing this game.

This game is almost impossible to win. Expect to die dozens of times within the first hour, if not hundreds of times. There are very very few save points, so dying means you lose all of your currency and have to start over again. While this game is fun overall, if you are looking for a laid back game that doesn't hit you over the head, look elsewhere.

I am fairly new to souls games so I hesitated getting this game because of how hard they say they are. However I kept hearing what a good game it was so I bought it. Don't believe the hype. It's not that hard and it's a great game that gives you a feeling so few games can provide. Just read a few helpful hints before playing and remember, every enemy should be taken seriously.

I've tried to play Demon's Souls, and the way I like to play Bloodbore, I can't really do that with that, or Dark Souls. I like to play games in a fast way if I can, and this game lets me do that, and it is so much fun. I recommend the DLC if you plan on playing like I do, because the weapons you can get there are worth it. Especially the dual swords you can get.

One of the best games I have ever played! This game is challenging, but rewarding. It took me about 70 hours to complete with surprises around every corner. This game has a Lovecraftian feel to it with Dark Souls combat, it’s from the same creators, so if you like Dark Souls, this game is for you! I also highly recommend the DLC!

Though it can be extremely challenging, Bloodborne will give a great sense of accomplishment. It can be overwhelming at times but it gives you everything you need to succeed. I would not recommend this game for those looking for a story driven game or those who would not want a high level of difficulty. The game has a great atmosphere, environments, and character designs.

I wasn't sure if I liked this game the first time I played it, but the more I play it, the more I like it. It's a cool game, and very challenging. This is not a button mashing type game. You have to use strategy and pay attention to your surroundings. More than likely you'll have to go through an area a few times, memorizing certain aspects, in order to get passed it. All in all a cool game and I know it will provide hours of challenging gameplay.

If you don't know already... Dark Souls is like an adult Zelda game with settings set to ultra hard. The series is great but you need patience for it to payoff. Well, this is very similar to that (as its made by the same developer) but plays much faster as you really more on offense as opposed to defense. Not for everyone but it is easily recommended.

Let me first start by saying I do like this game however, being a new to dark souls - ish type game, it is difficult. It's refreshing to have a game that you can't just mow through mindlessly but there have been times where I almost chucked my controller across the room. The one negative on this game are the loading times between death and the hunters dream. I hear they are trying to patch it to make it shorter however it really is annoying atm.

If you love the Dark Souls series of games then this will feel familiar. The main difference is the combat is much more fast paced compared to souls games. But aside from that, the world is incredible looking, the atmosphere is extremely eerie, and the fights are intense. All what you’d expect from a From Software game.

Bloodborne is excellent. The story line is a bit mysterious and vague, but I think that adds to the appeal. The environment and detail is impressive and the game play is great. It's very challenging at first, but once you get a handle on the mechanics and style of attack it gets a bit easier. Be prepared to die A LOT and don't feel bad about it.

This game is like Dark Souls to a large degree. It shares the common theme of going to a "base camp" sort of place to level up and buy stuff, collecting a resource with each kill and etc to use as currency which, if you die, gets left behind near where you died in a little puddle that you have to pick up (and if you die before you pick it up that pile is just gone), and people can come from other realities to help/hinder you (aka other players). Now that being said, the setting is interesting, and I can promise if you like Dark Souls at all you will love this game too. The only ones I wouldn't suggest it for are those who get frustrated. You WILL DIE...a lot. This game rewards you in that when you finally get past an area, or find the next spawn point, you feel such a thrill of accomplishment. Slowly honing your abilities and weapons to take down enemies that were killing you easily before. Finding that way to a new area where you before felt stuck. Heck, a perfect example is the first character you have to face in a graveyard to progress further. It took me FOREVER to finally beat him, but when I did I was as happy as I normally am when I complete a game itself. So if you want a challenge, this is for you.

Upfront, you have to know this is technically another entry in the Souls series (Demons Souls, Dark Souls). What should you be prepared for? Prepare to die. A lot. The series is known for a punishing, yet rewarding style of gameplay that has drawn in numerous fans looking for something to break the monotony of most games nowadays. This game will not hold your hand. This game has virtually no tutorials. It's up to you to learn the ins and outs of Yharnam. Why take the time to master this world? Because you actually feel accomplished when you find a new set of armor or weapon, or beat one of the bosses, or simply discover something new. This game offers something very few games in the last decade do. A sense of accomplishment. It feels GOOD to get over a hurdle. I play many games that are perfect to zone out to, have some mindless fun, but Bloodborne, like it's predecessors, will invoke something entirely different. So grab your saw cleaver, don your top hat, and join the hunt!

Stunning game. Amazingly designed character models and environments, fun combat that rewards you for being aggressive. Deep game that doesn't hold your hand whatsoever. More games should be like this. I would recommend this for no less than the hardcore, dedicated, or extremely skilled gamer. Very challenging and frustrating if you die a lot...which you will

I got the game shipped to me in excellent condition. It's a sort of action adventure RPG game. It's infamously difficult, like the Dark Souls series which is made by the same company. But even though I die hundreds of times, it's still very enjoyable. If you have trouble at first, don't give up. Definitely worth whatever price you may pay for it.

This game is NOT for casual "gamers." (Gosh, I hate that word...) It's extremely difficult, even when grinding for hours. But, I feel as though that's what makes it fun! It's been a long time since I've played a genuinely challenging game and this is a bit of a breath of fresh air for me. It's also very pretty, if graphics matter to you.

A great game with a lot of thought poured into it. Very grueling but the feeling of victory after accomplishing what you once thought was impossible is so worth the frustration. I stopped Demon Souls because it was way too challenging for me but Bloodborne is such a great game.

So I got this game because of all the amazing reviews and at the end I decided to go ahead and watch some gameplay online to make sure it was the type of style that I like. I am always on first-person shooters and this is my first slashing and hacking and fighting type not bad but to hard for my liking it makes passing levels rewarding
