Usually this is not my type of game but I couldn't pass this up at the price. This game won game of the year in 2015 for a reason. Now I want to play all the demon and dark soul games because they have the same style of play, strategy and intensity. Buy this game if you are a gamer and you want a challenge.

Haven't been a big fan of these types of games in the past but decided to give this a shot after all these years. Glad I did! Graphics still hold up and the environments/atmosphere is amazing. Gameplay is fast and tough but rewarding. Once you get the hang of it, you will have a hard time putting the controller down.

Awesome game with a Dark Souls feel. Load screens suck, but overall very entertaining game.

Bloodborne for the PS4 is a well-crafted old-school experience with a fresh coat of paint. The game is difficult, gives you little exposition, and forces you to learn and adapt to all of the threats contained within the game. There is little to no hand holding that is common with so many games these days. I highly recommend this game to anybody looking for a straightforward, challenging, and highly rewarding game.

Seriously the best game I've ever played. Combat. Setting and story. Wow. Get it. Preserve.

I've never tried other dark souls games. So this is my first time trying it. Although the game is difficult for me too as an 20 plus year gamer, I also found it extremely challenging and fun. The key is to know the attack style of the enemies as well as the bosses so that you know when and how to dodge the attacks. The graphics are good and the gameplay is absolutely top-notch. I couldn't recommend this game enough.

If you love a challenge, love getting frustrated and love throwing your controller against the wall, then is the game for you. Marvel at not being able to complete the first level because 2 hits and you are dead be amazed as the beautiful graphics and amazing sound as the monsters destroy you limb from limb. Buy a second controller when you buy this game because you will end up smashing the first.

This is a beautifully drawn/rendered game--which is great since I found it extremely challenging to beat. Patience is a must.

Truly a great game for those who like a challenge, action, and atmosphere.

Having beat Dark Souls 2 last year, we were intrigued by Bloodborne from the start. We have not beaten it yet, but we are enjoying it. The game is extremely beautiful in terms of design. It moves along a bit quicker than the Souls games, but has many of the creepy little extras you would expect. Save spots are not as frequent as in Dark Souls 2, which makes it more challenging, although you do not have to worry about losing "humanity" upon death. Overall, we are excited to advance and complete Bloodborne.

Tough game. Can’t say I’ve made much progress. If you enjoy the torture of dark souls, you’ll love this.

very cool game..... A little extreme on the difficulty but none the less an incredible game

It is a challenging, relentless game in a world where Triple-A titles like to hold your hand. I've enjoyed the early experiences with it. Warning: You will die in the this game. A lot. One thing I do not like about this game is the load times. Every time you die, the game needs to load. That is fine, but you die a lot in this game and the load times are not very good . I've been told in an upcoming patch they will address this issue. Maybe if I stop sucking at the game things will get better as well ;)

FromSoftware has delivered yet another punishing but incredible game to us. It is possibly the easiest game to pick up from all of the different Souls games. Exchanging the traditional guarding system for dodging, this game forces players to learn enemies' behavior to dodge at the right times. This is definitely a great game to pick up if you are looking for a challenge.

Bloodborne will test your frustration, and your gaming skills as the difficulty of this masterpiece can sway some people from playing it. If you just stay consistent and keep fighting through it though you will be rewarded with completed a beloved game that sits in the hearts of many who consider it to be one of Playstation's top 5 games of all time.

This is a very hard game but if you persevere it is a lot of fun and visually stimulating.

First thing you should know is that Bloodborne is insanely difficult. I have never played the Dark Souls series but from what I understand all of these games pride themselves on being incredibly difficult. That would be fine if there was any entertainment value in the game mechanics, story, design, etc. However, not only is this game so hard that it might make you smash a few controllers, it is so boring. There is nothing fun in the fight mechanics, level design, or characters. All of the enemies are the same mindless drones that you can manipulate very easily. The problem is that the fight mechanics are so bad that even these mindless drones can get a lucky hit on you and kill you. Even that wouldn't be that bad except there are hardly any checkpoints in this game. I played for over an hour just to have one guy get that lucky hit on me and now all of that progress is lost. You lose everything and have to start over. This happens over and over and over and over again until you lose your mind or turn the game off for good. Which I've decided to do. One other thing, you die a million times and the load times after each death are terrible. It gets old super fast.

This is an absolute masterpiece. From the enemies to the amazing map layouts to the amazing and fun bosses.... This game is a steal for the price. It's a classic.
