I have played it every chance that i have gotten over the past week. It is a lot of fun as long as you don't mind the lack of hand holding and greater degree of challenge. I think it is a modern interpretation of the Legend of Zelda NES.

Let me just say I'm a tad bit biased, because I absolutely adore this game. This a hard game, goes without saying, but it rewards you like no other game(maybe other souls games ;P). So it's like the video game equavilent of crack.

I was recommended this game and I'm glad I purchased it. Love the gameplay and story. Has a fairly intricate weapon system that takes some getting used to but is rewarding after you learn how to use it well.

I received this game as a birthday gift and it is one of my favorite and most played games on the PS4. It is a very challenging but rewarding game. If you are familiar with the souls series, I would definitely recommend this game.

Well if you want to break your controller out of frustraiton then pick this game up. At first this was not that fun but after i planned my timing better i was really loving it. This is a GREAT GAME if you give it a chance. I use AXE ;D

More grueling, punishing, addicting gameplay from the makers of Dark Souls. This one is more up tempo, has guns, more linear storyline, and a gothic setting as opposed to a demonic, fantasy type one. One of the best titles out for ps4

I always wanted to play this game and it was cheap, I saw other people play it on youtube they rage quit and badmouth but this game looks solid in looks and gameplay. this game is a test of mental skills and will.

Bloodborne is a fastastic spiritual successor to the demon and dark souls games. It's a great exclusive to the Sony platform and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a gauntlet.

I was never a dark souls fan but when I got my hands on bloodborne... WOW, just wow... I've never been so immersed in a game ever! I love the challenge and the pacing. Warning... this game has no hand holding; its hardcore as it gets.

Bloodborne is a fantastic game! Really difficult, but just as rewarding. My first game in the "soulsbourne" genre. Really action packed. It can be frustratingly difficult at times, but when you do get past a really difficult point, you feel amazing.

This is so far one of the best reasons to own a PS4. If you've ever tried a Souls game and been turned off, give this a try. It's cut from the same cloth put feels and plays totally different. More like a modern action game.

If you don't have a PS4 yet, this is your reason to get it. Not only does it play like its acclaimed predecessors Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2, it absolutely kills it with the new techniques, weapons, and places this title introduces.

if you have played any of the Demon Souls or Dark Souls then you know what you're getting with this game. Hardcore challenges and fun tight mechanics. Best time I had with the Ps4

This game features a steep learning curve, but eventually opens itself up to present a beautiful, atmospheric world filled with challenges that richly reward the player's perseverance. Any PS4 owner should seriously consider this gem.

The game is great but just don’t have time for it. I’d love to finish it up. The issue is when you pass certain areas when you die you have to literally repeat it all over again. But then again that’s not a big issue. I’m just thinking as a dad and busy husband. Lol

Weird coming into this game from the Souls games - you need to give yourself some time to adjust to the more action-oriented approach. But it scratches that itch perfectly. It's simplified from Souls without feeling dumbed-down.

Graphics are great but game is very difficult, took me several days get to next level, only on level 2. Game was hard to follow initially, especially if you didn't know the story line. Unlike other games, it doesn't have cut scenes to direct you or tell your objective. Once you die, you have to start all over and you loose the "points" that you have accumulated and need to enhance your character's strength, skill, and weapons. There are really no directions on how to play, you just have to figure it out as you go thru the game. It took me countless hours of doing the same thing to rack up points, level up, and I'm still only on the 2nd level of the game. Those who are not persistent and patient will get frustrated and will get tired of this game easily.

Let me preface this by saying that although I love playing video games, I am by no means a hard core, all or nothing gamer. I play my games when I can and love playing different types of games. Which is why I chose Bloodborne, because it was different. I read reviews where it was said to be one of the best games of 2015 and it might very well be...I personally will never know. When I started this game I was very confused...there isn't much of an intro and you are kind of just thrown into it. I now realize that this is a sort of extension or part of the Dark Souls series and maybe that's why I had problems. I started playing and believe it or not I spent about 8 hours trying to get to the first boss, which i never did manage to get to. The problem I find is that in this first "level" there are no save points and the game does not auto-save at certain locations. So after going through a section and killing dozens of enemies, if you die you go all the way back to the very beginning! Most games would start you at a mid point that it auto-saves so that you can progress and keep going. Not this game. I played time and time again, death after death and really didn't progress for 8 hours! Yes each time I would get a little further but ultimately I would die and start all the way back at the beginning. I did some research online and found that I was not alone, that many, many people would spend 6+ hours just trying to get through this first "level". That to me is insane! I can usually finish an entire game in about 8 hours, but 8 hours on ONE level!!! I hate to quit games, I really do, I think I have only quit one game before this but I just could not go on because it was just getting me mad each time. Aside from that, the game graphics are beautiful, the weapons (the limited ones i used) were cool, and the controls were very smooth. I am the type of gamer that likes challenging games but also likes it to be fun. I like playing because it's an escape from everyday life, and the last thing I want is to play a game that instead of being fun, is making me hate it and getting me mad. I ended up trading this game in for credit to buy another game.

This game isn't for everyone but if you haven't messed with the previous souls games then I would borrow it first. You will die a lot, you're supposed to. But it is rewarding and you feel satisfying to get through certain sections. Be aware load times are long and you can't map the buttons.

I bought this on sale. I love RPG/Action game. Have to learn to do skill to fight monster so hard and go to next area. Great game! :-) I will look to more RPG games which I like to buy them on sale.
