If you loved playing Castlevania Symphony of the Night, or similar games for the GBA, this is the perfect game to jump onto.

Switch version is good, but has many performance issues. 505 games has stated they are fixing it right away with patches. It's very hard at this point to Star rate this game as it seem unfinished until the patches roll out but overall good

It's a good game but it doesn't have much resolution. It needs some updates to perform and look better.

The artwork and side scrolling game style is beautiful and will feel very familiar to fans of the earlier hits Metroid and Castlevania.

I didnt watch any tutorials so it took me a while to figure out. Great game, typical 2D action game. Still missing some hidden rooms.

We all wish we had a true Castlevania game for the switch but we don't. Bloodstained makes up for it by creating a marvelous world from the mind of Castlevania: SON creator. This game has some slight glitches but overall an enjoyable experience, I hope they plan on a sequel

Great Metroidvania style game, but just wished it had better performance since day one even though they will be patching it in the future.

Yes, this version has issues. They are working on it. I have not had many problems in handheld mode though, the one time it crashed was docked. Great that I can play not connected to the TV, and the game is just like playing SOTN, which I always wanted on the Switch.

Devolopers made a point recently to address the issues. While it’s not as good visually as it’s console counterparts it’s great on the go.

As of this review, there has yet to be a patch that fixes the input delay, massive load times, terrible frame rate, and poor resolution. If you want to play Bloodstained, I suggest you play it on the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X.

I bought this game after reading it was similar to the PS2 version of Castlevania Symphony of the Night. This game didn’t disappoint. I’ve went thru it twice already. 99.6% and 99.7% Respectively. I’m trying to get to 100% mission completion!

Same classic ambience and gameplay of the old school castlevania games. switch port is a bit buggy but now very playable.

Game is great now that they patched it up. Still has a few bugs to work out, but overall a very good Castlevania style game with its own awesome little touch

No where as bad a port as someone made it out to be. Good metroidvania of a game. I'm about 15 hours in and still making headway!

I was exited for this game when it first came out. It did not dissapoint. I had so much fun. I hope there's a sequel.

if you havent play this game do yourself a favor and play it, it better on the switch. A cool 3d platform with extra features and old school design. If you enjoy old school games this is right there with one of the best indie games.

I can see why it had such a large donated amount via kickstarter. What a great homage to symphony of the night. Def worth playing if you're a fan of the castlevania games or simply like action/adventure games like metroid, hollow knight, dead cells, etc.

A fun Castlevania-like game. I've heard the Xbox and PS4 versions are better because of gameplay and maybe the graphics.

I am a hardcore fan of the Metroidvania genre and this is absolutely a beautiful game it does have awesome graphics, it does have new elements like the shards and other cool stuff. So yea I totally recommend it.

Excellent Medtroidvania game! Would highly recommend. Is not an easy game so expect to grind out leveling up, but is so good.
