Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is one of the best metroidvania games I've played recently.

I almost forgot I wasn't playing Castlevania with the inspiration this game takes from Symphony of the Night.

This is the metroidvania game we all been waiting for since castlevania:Symphony of the night. The game may have some rough edges but this game really incites you to complete it 100%. Most of the abilities in the game are cool but the most important thing is that this game is FULL OF REFERENCES especially to the older castlevania games and other indie games. The best part about this game is the combat and exploration. There is one thing that this game highly delivers- the bonus post game content. This is a must-play game for those who want a nostalgia ride or simply want to dive into the game that was once C:Sotn. One particular endgame boss really should be fought as this guy is possibly the best thing in gaming history.(not the IGA fight, the other more criminally referencive fight against a vampire)

A new entry in the Not Castlevania series. Plays great. Don’t buy the Switch version. It’s a bad port.
