True spiritual successor to symphony of the night

Nicely designed metroidvania. The soundtrack is nice but not as memorable as SotN. Still a very worthy and long overdue spiritual successor to the best Castlevania game

Almost SoTN

It was almost like running around a castle with Alucard again. I found the meta game of collecting souls did little to enhance the game beyond "find what works and stick with it" but it gives a lot to those souls who are completionists. The game can be beaten with at least 3 different endings (as of now, there is scheduled free DLC) But on the normal mode it only took me 10 hrs to get the "good" ending and I play slower than I used to. The difficulty on the normal play through isn't all that bad so if you like to be punished for your mistakes you might want to up the difficulty level. Over all I had a blast and if you enjoyed the side scrolling old school Castlevania games I think you'll be happy.

Was good for the initial playthrough. However, unlike classics like Castevania, Symphony of the night, not really memorable enough to play again.
