Phone is fast and performs well. Wireless charging is a plus. I was having issue with the wired charging and file access on apps, but must have been a malicious app cuz once I did a factory reset it was fine.the only subpar performing feature I would say is the fingerprint sensor which doesn't read half the time.

Simply put there is no need to spend 4 or 5 times as much for a phone when this one satisfies in all areas. Form, fit and function are superb. Blu hit this phone out of the proverbial park!

Didn't like the UI much and I don't care for the useless, uninstallable software, but this phone is super solid. I installed Nova Launcher and disabled a few of the apps that I could, though, and I'm now extremely happy with it now. Have had a couple of minor software related issues, and the company has been pretty responsive. They need to work on 3rd party support though for cases, and it would be nice if they had a short list of tested fast wireless chargers, but...the phone does include two "okay" cases and the full host of accessories, so for the price, it's a tough package to beat.

This phone is excellent. Snappy speed, has everything a premium phone has including the look/feel for less than half of the price! If you're on the fence, get off it & take the chance!

    Poor Quality

Love the screen and size. Fingerprint scanner works which is great. Camera is good... I love the wireless charging and that's the biggest reason why I bought this phone as all the other phones I have bought the charging ports go bad and I wanted to avoid that issue again. ------------------------------- Issues are getting worse with age and it's not even 6months old. Sound is bad.. I must turn on the speaker phone for all calls or I can't hear and if thats not bad enough I have to put the speaker phone up to my ear so I can hear... Dropped calls constantly happening... or can't get a signal to make a call. People call me and it goes straight to voicemail without the phone ringing then I get a notice I missed a call or left a voicemail as soon as they hang up... it's driving me nuts. Now when I'm at work in the office, it shows I have a signal but I can't connect to anything until I walk outside. The thing just can't hold or get a signal. It's not my carrier because my friends using the same carrier don't have the same issues and they are sitting right next to me. Connecting to my own home wifi is awful too and nobody in the house has this same issue and I have 1gig service too. Oh and I just remembered, it won't connect to my computer so saving files is a pain too... I have to save everything through dropbox... So I am here looking for another phone

I read and view many reviews along video on this great phone. All true and right to the point. This phone for the price point is the best phone yet from BLU company. This runs super close to big boys like apple, samsung, Sony. It super fast very easy to used.

I have had the Blu XI+ for a week and so far I am more than satisfied. I was about to purchase the Note 9 before this one.....no more. This phone lives up to my expectations without leaving a dent in my wallet. The Hello P60 chip can handle my style of gaming without any lag or application freezes. I can honestly say that the only what I will buy a flagship is if it is between $300-$600 price tag. No more $1000 phones for this guy. FYI don't buy into the hype take a chance for yourselves you might be surprised.....

American company with a beautiful phone

So I've had this phone for three months already and it is perfect. I was a little skeptical at first buying a budget phone but it runs smoother than my mother Galaxy s8 thanks to the 4g ram. It has a Helio 60 chip which isn't as great as snapdragons but I can't tell the difference at all. I get compliments from people all the time telling me it's so beautiful thanks to the shiny GLASS back which also supports qi charging. I'm also into rooting and everything and I have thought about rooting and flashing a custom rom but there is really no point because this phone basically runs stock Android and has zero bloatware. Also the Android pie beta program has begun but sadly I don't qualify for some reason. If you are on the edge let me assure you this is a Best buy. The only thing though is that the glass is not as strong as Corning gorilla glass 3 like it says it has and the only screen protector o have for this is for the xs Max and it doesn't fit quite right though.

    Don't believe the hype

After reading the reviews and comparing my options I decided to go with this phone. Sadly I am not to happy with it, as it is not easy to figure out. First it took forever to power up and you cannot see that it is on, or what level the battery is on. Yes, you are given a wall charger and a very short mini cord, so you will need to spend extra money on buying a longer cord. Once powered up it took me a bit to figure things out, which is normal, and the small booklet they give you really isn't all that helpful in my opinion. It took forever to get the home screen up and setting up was ok, but it wouldn't let me use my AOL as an email, so I had to use my Gmail instead. I figured out how to close the apps I don't want, but so far haven't been able to delete them off my screen. I would also like to move the apps I do use around, so that I can find and use them better, You are given two soft covers for the phone, one is clear and the other has an some awful art on it that cannot be removed. Also enclosed are earphones, a key for the sim holder, a hard screen proctor. All in all, just save your money and find a better and much easier phone to use.

    Still no NFC

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

One thing that BLU always leaves out of all their devices is NFC. I don't know why this is absolutely necessary for them to overlook, but that's their business model: Leave NFC out and don't even state in the SPECS that it is not there.... Everything else is good with the phone. Since I can tap to pay with my credit card itself, it's not a big loss but we are moving towards a cashless society and they have a lack of communication capabilities.

Chock full of Features, that slowly kill the phone

I was in a pinch and needed a replacement phone last year (around 7-8 months). Blu was a brand I wasn't familiar with, had read decent reviews of, and was within my emergency price range. I was blown away by the features. The screen size is huge, wireless/quick charging, it had facial recognition, USB-C which handles both charging and audio, speed was solid, and it came with a few cases. But, as I used it, things began to break for no apparent reason. 1st: The audio connection within the USB-C port stopped working. I tried multiple dongles, none worked. Blu, after punting me to their warranty office which does not understand the product, wasn't much help. 2nd: Facial recognition unlocks began to repeatedly crash the phone. When the phone crashes, it immediately reboots to the encryption unlock, and then boots into Android. This takes 1-2 minutes. 3rd: Wireless charging stopped working. It would register it as "charging" but not actually hold the charge. 4th: One night, the battery stopped charging IF the phone was turned on. Although I liked turning my phone off overnight, having to turn off my phone for hours at a time (because the charging speed RAPIDLY dropped) is a really pain. No calls, no texts, good luck. 5th: The battery began to rapidly drain using anything remotely resource-intensive (from 24 hours-ish to 4-5 with minor use in the morning). 6th: Sometimes the camera opening, even accidentally, will crash the phone. Seriously, open your email a little too quickly? It's going to take 2 minutes to reboot the phone. 7th: That decent speed went away, entirely, no matter how much I tried to reduce my RAM needs. Opening apps suddenly took nearly a minute each, compared to the smooth opening on other devices. 7th: The cell reception on this device is notably horrible compared to others. My office isn't a hot spot for cell service, but every other AT&T customer can get a few bars, whereas my Blu can't handle being in an enclosed space. 8th: The glass is not at the quality it needs to be for its screen size. The glass isn't strengthened or even particularly good glass. It breaks very easily. Once broken, it will continue to break until your ability to do anything requires glass slivers and multiple viewing angles. So that all said, every high-quality feature of this device ended up turning into a fatal flaw that made it unusable and ultimately worthless. Blu's warranty contractor is effectively useless since it takes weeks to work with and will always side with minor ineffective solutions. This phone was great for four months, but became a complete nightmare soon after. Don't buy this Blu-they need time to build a quality product instead of pumping out cut-rate quality phones hiding behind iPhone-tier features.

    Liked it at first......

This phone was really nice out of the box. Within 2 weeks, the provided 3.5mm headphone adapter(yes, there is NO headphone jack) stopped working. I had to buy 3 different ones before I found one that would work with the phone. Then the phone was dropped (had a good case) and the phone broke - not the screen. This is my major issue....because this brand is newer and not as popular it is very difficult to find someone to fix the phone and the cost is as much as a new phone. There is zero customer service support for the brand. This phone is only 2 months old and I now feel it was a total waste of money. Buy an older model Samsung and save yourself the headache.

    Connectivity issue

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Although an attractive budget phone, the connectivity is lacking. Everything will be fine and then all of a sudden I will go from 4 bars to no bars while standing in the same location. I will reboot the phone and, bang, 4 bars. I can finish a call, and try to make another call, and no bars. I can send several text that go out fine, then a text will hang and I have to reboot to get it to go. Being retired, it is difficult to afford the more expensive phones, so I am stuck with this one. When it fails, I will figure out how to go LG or Samsung.

Worst Phone I have ever used

This is a list of issues: - Case turns yellow with only a few months of use - Camera is terrible in dim / dark areas (personal thing but im adding it anyways) - Has a built in cleaner, but its made by a third party, which when read, its like Cleanmaster, you know that cleaner. - Has apps preinstalled, cant get rid of Opera browser, so its stuck using space on the phone - Has the ability to disconnect you to wifi - cant use 4g and LTE properly - Messages is an app you can download which is concerning - Notes app has a weird design (personal nitpick) - This is a nitpick, but its more for you guys, the app drawer. - You have to go into files to delete images - Sometimes makes app unusable - Most settings are hidden, so you have to search it (i dont care that much) - When you call someone, the screen sometimes taps itself and it mutes you or presses a random setting. - Opening anything with a large amount of images or something instantly lags it to death My experience with this, makes it look embarassing, like a 180 China phone, sure it breaks like paper, but it literally does more and doesnt crash every day. This experience left me with this: "Im never buying any blu products, there are so many issues that are annoying as hell"

Midding performance with lots of issues

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It's not a bad design - let's face it, it's nothing more than an iPhone X ripoff...but performance is sub-par for the specs it has. It's had issues staying connected to the network and will sometimes have zero service where other phones had 2-3 bars. All in all, not impressed. For $199 it's not the worst, but you'd be better served by something like the Moto G7 instead.
