I had been using this mic for gaming and video work for about a month. Last night I was moving the mic (nothing major) and the usb cable just stopped working. Some basic testing later confirmed that the data cables inside the cord have gone out. So I figured I would contact the people over at Blue and see what they would do for me since the mic was less than a month old and it seemed silly to return the entire mic for a cheap usb cable. Having dealt with more than my fair share of support teams I was really surprised to wake up to an email from an actual person in my in box. No "do not reply to this email", no waiting, a real live person! After a few quick back and forth emails I now have a cable on the way and cannot recommend this product and company enough.

Blue has a long-standing as one of the leaders in audio performance and this feels like one of the reasons that they deserve that recognition. The Yeti installed easily on both a new Macbook Pro and a new Windows 7 notebook and integrated just like the standard microphones. No weird installation process was required. The fit, finish and feel are all typical Blue quality and the built in base allows for a comfortable, safe-feeling, usable range of motion. There are manual switches for both gain and recording patterns - stereo, omni, cardioid, and bi-directional. All, while barely noticeable for my environment, seemed to offer the pattern that should be expected. The only downside for me was the pop-filter that Blue sells for this microphone seems like an after-thought. It looks good all by itself, but when fitted to the microphone's unique stand it takes away from the look of both the filter itself and the Microphone. Weird considering how much care Blue seems to give to the look and feel of their equipment.

Hello pepps,so i want to make a review about Blue Yeti microphone.The Microphone is amazing! The sound qaulity is amazing too! ,but there is a bit problem.Background noise- when your doors are open and something your microphone will pickup it..If you want to remove the background noise. Turn the gain to lowest and speak closer to the microphone.

It sounds great! I received this as a gift from my family and I use it to play video games and talk to friends etc... It sounds really good (almost like you are actually there). There are different modes as well, (some for podcasts etc..) I love the mute button, it makes it so useful to be able to mute your microphone while in a call with friends without having to alt-tab out of a game, open discord, and click the mute button... I just tap it and its muted.

Use this thing all the time. My wife uses it to stream on Twitch, I use it for voiceovers for product videos I produce, and it even works for vocals on music. Lots of different settings and a good gain staging control to dial in the right parameters for perfect sound. It's not the best mic for singing, but it gets the job done, and for spoken word it's fantastic. If you're a streamer, podcaster, or produce anything with voiceovers, this is a winner. BUY IT!

At first I bought a $20 mic from best buy so that i could voiceover a video I was making for my business. The quality was so awful, I returned it the next day. I then went straight to best buy.com and ordered this beast! The sound quality blows my mind. It's practically HD audio compared to the audio from the first mic I bought. Don't go cheap. Just dish out the $150 and get the quality. You won't regret it!

It is very easy to use, no installation required. The quality of recording is impressive. I am satisfied.

I just got this Mic and recorded a couple vocal tracks, and it sounds amazing other than the fact that you have to be in a silent environment because it picks up every little noise. Other that that it's an A+ in my book!

I highly recommend this mic the reason why im buying another is because my dog chewed up the metal frame and cut some wires while i was moving other then that it’s amazing

I love this microphone! The USB connection makes it so user-friendly, you just need to plug it into your laptop and you're ready to go! I am a college student, so I mainly use it to record for different class projects and for my youtube videos. I love the clear and noise-free sound that it produces. It has 4 different pattern settings that allow you to control which direction you want the mic to pick up sound form so it is also great for podcasts and interviews! The only slight problem is that the side knobs can get loose and the mic starts to bend forward or back, but no worries, just need to tighten them back up and you're set! This mic is easy to plug in and use. It creates clear audio for a good price point.

I got fed up with poor quality mics causing sound issues on my computer when I do online DJing, so I decided to do something about it. (I had a $100 gift card, so that made the purchase price easier to swallow). You just plug this baby in, choose it in your sound setup, and it works. Superior vocal quality and no noise.

This was my second microphone purchase after a failed first one. I saw this on sale and price matched it so I got an amazing deal on this typically expensive microphone. As for how it works? AMAZING. I use it for amateur recording with GarageBand. It records clearly and it's very crisp. I love that there are settings for different types of recording and the no latency is a great feature, so I can tell when I mess up right away. Also, there really isn't a need for a pop filter with this mic, as far as I have seen.

The first Blue Yeti I purchased didn't work at all, I plugged it into multiple computers and it was never recognized by windows. After extensive troubleshooting I exchanged it for another one that worked (temporarily) the second Blue Yeti was USB auto play detected by windows and worked perfectly for about 2 months then without warning just stopped recording. The computer still recognized the microphone and loaded the drivers, but no sound was captured by the microphone even the headphones plugged into the microphone worked perfectly. I tried all configurable microphone patterns, made sure the mute button was not active, disabled,- enabled drivers in windows, disabled other inactive recording devices via control panel, and even swapped out the USB cable without success. I submitted a trouble report form and emailed the manufacturer for assistance a few days ago they haven’t yet responded. Thankfully I was able to return for store credit and bought another brand. I rated my review as fair rather than poor because when the microphone was functional it was exceptional.

I wanted to get away from using a gaming headset; they kept dying on me. Now I’m using aux plug beats headphones and this mic. I questioned whether the mic would work as well, but it turned out to be even better. Software is noninvasive and easy to install/use. Additionally, the mic has various modes which seem to work true to their intended nature.
