So I bought it for podcasting thinking I was doing myself a huge favor by buying an expensive mic. But it is a condense mic, which means it pick up everything. The room needs to be sound proof in order to get a bang for your buck. Overall, I enjoy using it. I just wish I hadn’t spent so much money on it when I could have bought two mic for the price of the yeti one and still get a great sound.

I am a college professor who records my classes "live" to make my presentations and audio content available online for my students. I am currently using my fourth Blue Yeti Microphone. My first one lasted several years with no problems at all, until it suddenly fell silent. I replaced it with a second one, which lasted only six months. I replaced it with yet another Blue Yeti, and it didn't even last a month. My current Blue (new) Yeti has lasted a month so far and is going strong. We will see what the future holds for it. In every case, when the microphone would go down, it was because the computer (both Mac and PC) could not find it. I replaced the USB cable to no avail. But when I replaced the defective mic, the computers found the it without a hitch. So, I guess it is a hit-or-miss thing. Why did I not buy a different brand microphone you might ask. Well, I was so happy with the first one that I was sure that the bad ones were just a fluke. I guess time will tell!

Bought this item for recording vocal content and for doing some interviews using zoom while home during the pandemic. Great purchase and came highly recommended from a great friend in the film industry as he too uses this as one of his go to items.

This was a gift for my son, he creats his own music. The software and the quality of the microphone make this a great tool, for aspiring artist.

This microphone is fantastic for gaming setup. Easy setup.

The mic works really well - it's an awesome mic. However, I wish it had an off button - stays on with annoying red light, or blinking light when I do mute. My speakers that are plugged into my computer are disabled when the mic is on (which is whenever it is physically connected to a USB port.) The mic has a headset port but if I'm not using a headset I want to let the audio go to my other speakers. So I end up disconnecting the mic when I am not using it - which is inconvenient because the usb port is on the bottom. The mic quality is great.
