Great microphone for recording music.

He enjoys playing many different instruments ... mostly bluegrass. He also plays along with the family when they get together to sing. His first youtube video using the microphone is linked below. He has also had the opportunity to record him playing along with my wife's father and grandfather as they sang. These recordings are very good quality and will provide us with a keepsake for a lifetime.

The salesperson was trying to pair another inexpensive microphone to the bonus deal, but I pointed out to him that was not the microphone in the advertisement, then he gave me this one which was in the advertisement.

Be it podcasting, radio hosting, playing an instrument, or just anytime you need a microphone, This microphone helps give you great audio quality.. Cons: However, this microphone picks up literally EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. OF. NOISE. If you breath, if there's a fly 20 feet away, or if a car passes by within a 50 mile radius of the microphone, you'll know [exaggeration}. Overall: I love this microphone. Pair it up with some noise cancelling software, and you have a great sounding microphone.

I’m still new to audio work, but I already can hear quality sound (above my previous mics) and I haven’t even gotten around to soundproofing my area yet. A great investment to see if you want to go further in any recording-based industry.

Easy to plug and play (I use it with an older MacBook Pro) and it has all the right controls. Sound quality is very good. I'm seriously considering buying the Boom Arm since the Yeti is rather large and is extremely sensitive to vibrations while typing during my video conferences. Bottom line, it's a great mic and I'm happy with it.
