This mic has several different modes and each one changes the way it records. Most people speak to the top of the Microphone which is NOT how this works. Have the blue symbol facing your lips and speak directly into the microphone at chin level. Turn on cardoid mode and if it sounds too loud turn down the mic gain and try again

But for the money the sound quality it picks up could be better. The material and build quality on this microphone otherwise are top notch. The use of micro usb instead of usb c is kind of annoying though as this is a current 2022 model but for most people that's not going to be such a big deal.

Other than that it would happen better if it hot like a stand because that’s just like a table microphone, but there’s no way to like set it up or have it Like close to you, so it needs a few improvements on the model outer of it.
