Of the options available around this price point, the Best Buy rep I worked with was a user of the more expensive version, and advised me to go with this model. It has some extra controls that the less expensive versions don't have. I don't think I needed the higher end version for the particular voice over work this is being used for, so it was a solid choice. The first use was for a project in which the voice over was played on a high end speaker system in an auditorium. It turned out really nice, and I got positive comments on the voice over work, but I did add some use of filters and limiters in post production.

Very sensitive and high quality

I usually go with headsets but I switched to the Yeti for better quality and it did not disappoint. It is very sensitive so you have to make sure to make use of a noise gate but it is completely worth the buy.

And I finally have something to connect my headphones to and have it function at that. As for the microphone quality, after testing it out with some friends on Discord last night, they said that my voice quality sounds better than my previous mic.

The weight of the base and overall quality of the unit is amazing. Ease of use is excellent. Picks up almost zero background noise in discord and you can be clearly heard without the mic in your face. There are not tons of features with this mic, but who needs frills when it just works how it should. I would recommend this to everyone in need of a good mic.

It's not Hollywood material but why pay Hollywood prices when you can get this mic and still get professional quality? It's a little BIG, but once you get used to it, it's ok.
