I also did some research before ultimately making the purchase as this was a gift for my husband. He is beyond pleased with his present, and has had great things to say about the quality, sound and features of the mic. I am glad that I listened to my friend's advice and made this purchase!

This microphone picks up my conversations clearly and distinctly. It's a vast improvement over using the microphone in the laptop computer. I liked it so much that I purchased one for my daughter who has been taking university courses and seminars online this semester, because the coronavirus has put a halt to students meeting in classrooms.

They really need a one directional, however the setting for podcast does work relatively well. If you are looking for a really good mic at an affordable price this is a good one.
