I was not disappointed at all. This is probably the best external accessory I've ever owned. I plan on doing a little podcasting and this mic sounds really good. More quality than I think I'll actually need. Buy it. Now.

You have stereo, omnidirectional, uni-directional, and bi-directional options. Biggest improvement over my built in headset mic is when I'm singing. It sounds a lot less breathy on this. I would recommend getting a pop filter and wind screen for this for even better results.

It does capture a light amount of white noise. Depends on what kind of sounds you have at the location in which you’re recording. I’ve been using it for singing and asmr YouTube videos. It works pretty well for capturing soft sounds & so far has been slightly better quality than my old singing microphone. I’d suggest this microphone more for broadcasting and podcasting. However, for singing; it does get the job done and is definitely a good pick for regular audio. By regular audio, I mean videos, sounds and/or talking.
