    I do everything from music recording, vocal over-dubbing, podcasts, and audio narration and this mic handles all of my needs. On my mac I just plug the mic in with the supplied mini-usb cable and everything works right out of the box. The controls are simple and easy to use. The mic is very heavy and bulky, which is what I was wanting. If you are wanting something that you can hold and move around, this might not be the mic for you. The only other downside is the fact that there isn't an xlr out, but if that is a necessity you can pick up the same mic with an xlr for a few more dollars. The bottom line, the sound is great and meets all the different needs I have for a desktop recording microphone!

    It is pricey for what it is. My friends say they cant tell an immediate difference just out of the box in comparison to my old 30 dollar microphone but it certainly doesnt sound worse and i have a little more functionality with it

    I use 2 mics: this Yeti and an Apogee mic. While both are excellent mics, the Apogee mic seems to offer a more professional sounding recording with less altered in post.
