Broke after 8 months of LIGHT useage

Less than a year old and it already broke on me. My PC recognizes I have the mic plugged in, but does not pick up any audio when I talk.

Posted .Hi Aveligne, Very sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the Blue Yeti microphone. A recent Windows update added new permissions that have to be enabled for the mic to communicate with your computer properly. We recommend navigating to your Settings > Privacy > Microphone and making sure that everything is enabled for use with the mic. Access your Sound Menu to confirm that the Blue Mic is recognized on the list. Access your Sound Menu by right clicking on your Speakers/Volume icon and selecting “Sounds” or typing “Sounds” into your Windows Search box. Click the Recording tab and right click on your Blue Mic to select Set as “Default Device”. If there are other Ready devices, please disconnect the device or disable the microphone by right clicking on the device and then selecting Disable. Hope that this helped clear up the issue, if not, fortunately the Yeti microphone comes with a 2 year limited hardware warranty. Plug in problems.

Bought a replacement cord and that doesn't work either. I never dropped the Mic and bummed that this happened after the return date

ASMR Android phone user beware

This was for vocals only and every recording sounded as though it were produced in an airline hangar.

Posted .Hello RadioProducer, thank you for this review of the Blue Yeti microphone. I'm sorry to hear that the audio quality of the mic wasn't up to snuff. If you're still having issues with the microphone, I would recommend downloading Blue's Sherpa software, which will allow you to mix and master the audio from your mic to better fit the sound you're going for. -Weston from Blue.

Connector Quality Needs Work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used a similar microphone that seemed to be a lot more reliable, but after purchasing my own I can't recommend this mic. The first I purchased wouldn't pick up on my computer at all so I returned it for a second microphone. It seemed to have the same issue but after a computer restart it seems to work okay. The usb connector on the microphone itself seems to be rather loose resulting in poor continual signal. Sometime restarting my computer will help or unplugging and re-plugging without any sort of lateral or axial tension on the cable into the mic. At the end of the day, spending this much for a mic that isn't reliable just doesn't seem worth the expense nor hassle.
