Joe's best album yet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Joe Bonamassa has been one of my favorite artists for nearly a decade. I've seen him live twice and listened to all of his albums countless times. Blues of Desperation is his best album yet. Joe has stepped up his song writing to match his guitar playing on this one. If you've never heard of Joe Bonamassa, Blues of Desperation will make you a fan.

Joe just keeps getting better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am one of those people who has to listen to a new CD several times before coming to an opinion as to how good, or bad, it is. Joe Bonamassa's latest "Blues of Desperation" was no different. However, I can now confidently say that this is one of, if not the, best CD he has produced. Every song is unique and interesting for different reasons. If you like harder rock, it's here; if you like ballads, they're here...and all of the songs are infused with Joe's fantastic guitar playing. If you are a fan of guitar oriented blues-rock music, you owe it to yourself to get this CD. Whether you are a long-time fan of Joe's or if you've never heard anything he's done, this is a fantastic piece of music which I highly recommend.

Joe never stops
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My review may be biased since I own everything else Joe has put out but I think this CD is great. He toned back the horns from the last release and rocks a little harder. Some of highlights are "Drive" which is especially enjoyable; it has a Peter Green flavor to it. "Mountain Climbing" has a ultra solid groove and fine female backing vocals giving it a little variation from his prior work. The title track has a psychedelic groove, great guitar work and sounds like nothing he's done before. The rest of the CD balances rock and blues as he usually does. If you are a fan, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Modern Blues Rock at its best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow...Joe did it again. With this CD, he has crafted some of the best modern blues rock tunes I've ever heard. This CD hasn't left my cd player in about a month, I just can't listen to it enough. I highly recommend it. For those who have followed Joe's career, you will recognize this CD as the next logical step in his musical progression. For those unfamiliar with him, this is a great place to start. Great CD.

Another smoking set by Joey B!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In a world of pop music, where auto-tune, and watered down country music rule, it's a blessing There's still artists like Joe Bonamassa who actually play their instruments, and can honestly sing, and actually write their own songs. Joe is one killer player who delivers the blues with style and honesty. Stop reading this and buy the dam album already!!

Bonamassa - What More Needs to Be Said??
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bonamassa - much better as a front man rather than part of a duo. I like him, his guitar playing, and his voice up front, front and center with no other voice to distract from his talent. (Sorry Beth) He is a hot property, probably won't ever be able to see him in person, so this is the next best. Great CD.

Original is the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man this guy can play (and write) some really good music. This is my second Bonamassa purchase and I bought it because its all original music. After seeing a few PPS specials I was blown away. I bought this having not heard one song and was not disappointed. From beginning to end, not a bad song.

Another good one, by Joe!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very good album overall, but I wouldn't say it's great. I prefer the heavy hitters that make up four of the first five songs. These I would put in the excellent category. The rest is somewhat of a mixed bag, and a mixture of styles, with horns and a jazzier sound at times. There are no bad songs, but several that don't stand out among Joe's better ones. All in all, an album well worth buying, especially if you like rock and blues guitar.

Another great album by my favorite guitarist!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Joe Bonamassa has done it again! I love the song `Drive` which has a cool vibe and is a different kind of song for Joe. And I really like the video for that song. I actually went to see Joe 3 nights ago and he played 4 songs off of this album. They sounded great live too!

This is Joe Bonamassa at his best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not recommend buying this CD enough. It is the best music I have purchased in the last six months. The guitar playing and song writing has Joe at his absolute peak. Do yourself a favor and buy this CD as soon as possible. It is all that it should be and more.

Awesome Blues Album
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Joe Bonamassa is an amazing guitar player. His work continually exemplifies the exact moment where the blues and rock n roll converge into one. Blues of Desperation is a fine addition to an already impressive line of great albums.

Joe rocks!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a huge Joe B fan and this is a great CD! I think his best since the Royal Albert Hall one. It's nice to hear his own music. He has 2 drummers on here and I love it! Plus the backup singers are an awesome addition. You can't go wrong!
