Pretty good overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace an Roomba with a battery that wouldn't charge. It works way better than my old Roomba at picking up pet fur from the carpet, but not as great on hardwoood. It also gets confused far more often and turns in circles for a few minutes before sorting itself out. One thing I really like is that the screen tells you what's not working instead of just having it stop if it hits a bump or gets tangled on something. The remote is also a really cool feature and the mop attachment is super handy as my dogs are constantly tracking mud into the kitchen.

Very good. Very good indeed, but not great...So
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....I ordered another model by the same manufacturer. This one does a very good job of picking up pet hair, even after my wife has used her much revered Dyson, Bob ®™ picked up a full canister's worth in the hour it ran around our home. It has trouble with couches as it will sometimes get under one or a big chair and get stuck there. Sometimes it tries to head out the sliding glass door to the great outdoors and gets hung up on the metal runner for the door. Otherwise, it is a pretty durn good vacuum cleaner. It has no problem returning to it's charging station and I recommend buying one to try for yourself. I just ordered another BobSweep model, one that has infrared sensors to hopefully better navigate our home but am keeping Bob for use upstairs where the dog usually sleeps at night. Again, Bob®™ is an excellent choice in a Robotic vacuum. I should be listed as a verified purchaser but once again, Best Buy seems to forget that. I also bought the 4 year extended warranty which at the sale price seems to me to be a good thing to have.

Meh, i've owned better robot vacuums...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to like this vacuum, especially for the price. Unfortunately, it's just ok. When it works, it's pretty good at what it's supposed to do. When it doesn't work, it's a pain. It gets stuck under my coffee table, trying to go over thin rugs, or gets stuck hanging over a small ledge that leads from the dining room to the living room (Why hasn't it learned not to do this by now??). It gets stuck so often that I only run it when i'm home and can supervise it. Otherwise if it gets stuck, it's not smart enough to turn itself off quickly but continues to run meaning the wheels keep spinning and leave black marks on my carpet. Not a fan. :( This is the second robot vacuum i've owned. I purchased a Neato at around the same price point a few years ago and loved it so much I bought a second vacuum (this one) for the downstairs. The Neato is so much smarter in terms of remembering areas (e.g. not to fall down the stairs) and just seems much more intuitive or informed about the space its vacuuming. I would pass on purchasing this robot vacuum again and wouldn't recommend it to others.

A Mom Must Have!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the BobSweep Pet Hair Plus in the color Champagne. The color is perfect with my home decor and I love that this is an option. The package arrived and I got a good laugh opening it to find Bob's "birth certificate". This is a fun, personal touch and made it very memorable from the get-go! Kudos!! I'm a mom with small children always at my feet and the instructions were easy enough that I could get him up and running quickly. I do feel that the instruction manual in my box was intended for a different model, as it describes cleaning options mine does not have and does not explain some of the buttons found on my model. However, BobSweep is user friendly enough that my 4 year old can operate it with the push of a button. I'm impressed with how thoroughly it cleans the floors and how well it cleans around edges and corners. Generally speaking, Bob does a good job navigating around the house by himself as well as finding his way back to his charging station once his job is done. The charging station is small and sits against the wall and I do not find it to be in my way. Bob does not work on shaggy rugs. He does best on high-low pile carpets as well as wood floors. Bob is equipped with an easy to clean dirt tray and my son actually finds this to be a fun job. I have noticed that it is important to keep the sensors clean as stated in the manual, otherwise Bob seems to get lost. The biggest area of improvement would be the sound. While Bob is not as loud as a typical vacuum, he is louder than expected so I do not run it while my children are napping or if we have company over. Overall I am happy with the cleaning Bob does, and it is so nice to turn him on with the push of a button and let him clean while I tackle other tasks or spend that time playing with my kids.

Look Elsewhere
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When opening the package, I was really impressed by Bob. First off, he was sleek and red (to match me and my kids), and he looked easy enough to use. But the first time (and every time after) we used him he was insanely LOUD. Yes, so loud that we decided to use him only when we're getting ready in the morning, so that it's second alarm clock in a way. Bob's up - gotta get the day started. (We pick up every night to make sure no obstacles are in his way. We have concrete floors with a couple low pile rugs. His base is set up correctly with 10' in front and 2' min on each side.) But now we can't even let him clean unsupervised. He gets stuck on everything/anything and has a hard time returning to his base. He gets stuck on the kitchen mat, behind the buffet, and behind the Christmas tree. Not stuck on or under - just can't seem to find his way out... We bought a couple roombas back in 2009/2010 that we loved and figured technology would have improved since then, but no luck. Bob is being returned - he can't live with us if he can't be trusted to do his job without someone constantly supervising.

I've always wanted a robot...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I was hesitant to purchase a robot to sweep up the copious amounts of cat hair in my house. I was certain that a cute little robot like Bob would fail at the task, boy was I wrong. The first day, Bob picked up something close to three cats worth of hair. I am not kidding, I could have sculpted 3 cats from the hair this awesome little bot found in my house. A couple of days after receiving our bob I received an email from the company asking me how things were going. THEY ACTUALLY CARE if I like the product. My floors have never been cleaner. I am so happy that my wife talked me into adopting this robot into our family. Unlike my daughter (13),bob never complains about sweeping or mopping. He even jumps a rather tall room divider to move from our living room to our kitchen. Not only is this a perfect product but the support that comes with it from the Bobsweep team is amazing. I will be buying another one of these little guys for my basement (Bob needs a little brother or sister after all).

Pleasantly Surprised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having two dogs with a doggie door and living in Florida, my wife was very used to sweeping everyday. I had talked to her about getting one of the robotic sweepers for years and she never thought they would work well. After listening to the praises of a friend, I finally convinced her to try Bobsweep. When we received it, it was very simple to assemble. Once she started using it, she was very shocked at how much sand and hair it would actually picked up. The only issue we have had is that the filter is inside the dump bin and my wife my mistake knocked the filter out into the trash when dumping it and didn't realize it. BUT, Gabe in Customer Service was very helpful and quick and we were able to get a replacement filter housing very quickly. Oh, it comes with spare filters and brushes as well which was a big surprise. This was a great investment!

I love my bOb!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: + Picks up tons of pet hair. + Handles changes between carpet and hard floor easily. + Large retainer bin. + Huge on-device LCD display. + UV light for sanitizing. Cons: - Slow charging speed. - Doesn't seem to map the floor. - Doesn't detect black furniture objects well. - Corner spin brush doesn't work well on carpet (have to take it off actually). - Has a hard time reaching the charging base sometimes. I've had my bOb for 4 months now. I bought my bObsweep after looking through all the good reviews. I've never had a robot vacuum simply because I have a small apartment to clean with lots of obstructions. After seeing good reviews on bOb, I went for it and bought one to try out. I was initially skeptical because bOb would keep running into the walls in my apartment, but after not paying attention to him, it seems like he went on his merry way and actually got to places I didn't think he would reach. He definitely picked up tons of pet hair and dirt off the floor. It was even more than my regular Dyson was picking up. Not sure how that's possible, but I'm not complaining! I did have to send my bOb in for service because one of his wheels stopped working, but the process was extremely easy and straightforward. It took a lot less time for service than I thought and bOb came back in an even better condition than when I bought him. I even have my own personal contact for servicing needs in the future. Pretty neat if you ask me. My only complaints about bOb is that he doesn't seem to map my floor area, so he runs into the same spots over and over. In addition, most of my black furniture does not pick up on his eyes, so he runs straight into them. Not a big deal, but I know it slows him down to have to turn around. Maybe a future revision can fix this? Overall, I'm really happy with my bOb and the service that I receive from their support team. I'll definitely be keeping him for the long run.

Dog Mom Approved.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Bob PetHair Robot Vacuum is exactly what I needed. I received this as a gift and it came right on time. My dog sheds 24-7, 365. I was amazed at all the hair it picked up when I thought my floor was clean. The whole family doesn’t even use the regular vacuum anymore, they just start the Bob in their rooms and close the door!!! Also their customer service is amazing. My Bob malfunctioned and they were very helpful. We maintained contact through email until Bob was back to working perfectly. I recommend this for all the pet parents.

IMHO bObsweep better than Roomba!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read a lot of reviews and really had to look into my options with the robo vacuums. I settled on this one because of the price and had really great reviews. I've had mine for a little over a year now and have a love/hate relationship with my bObsweep vacuum. This is my honest review so it may be a bit picky. I have a 35 lbs super mutt who sheds a lot as well as I have long hair so this was bought to help keep down the hair and crumbs in our home between vacuuming. I am happy with the cut down of hair, but if I don't clean it after every use, the hair will get caught underneath the vacuum and drag around. Especially my long hair gets tangled in the brush preventing it from spinning. Not that big of a deal, I just have to clean it before I start it again the next time. Gets a tad tricky when I’m out and it will start alone as programmed. Cleaning the device is easy, you can easily clean every part and the brush parts but it needs it EVERY time before I can run it again or it will simply stop working. I do have an issue of it getting caught up under our dining buffet table which can be irritating since it should sense that it doesn’t have enough clearance. It'll bounce in between the dining table and chair legs back and forth to find an open spot for it to get out but I kind of lose patience in waiting for it to do it. I end up just picking it up and putting it near the base then it'll right itself. Most annoyingly (yes I’m a bit OCD) I'm not sure what pattern it has in its little system of the layout of my home but sometimes it refuses to go to certain places. I'm not sure if it has bumped into a dog toy, rogue dust bunny or whatever and decided it could never go back there again. It will go towards the middle of the floor sometimes and stop on a dime then take a right turn in a difference direction. It used to get stuck on a couple of kitchen mats so now we removed them to prevent it from doing that. I also had to remove the dog food and water bowl as it kept knocking them over and made a mess. Also I had to strategically place a few heavy objects to prevent it from going in certain places where it will get stuck. I have tried, to no avail, to unplug the vacuum to reset it and let it get another mapping of the house. I wish this came with virtual walls to avoid this. It may just be me... but sometimes it hits into walls, legs of furniture HARD with a big thud. Other times it will slow down and then lightly bounce off of something. I'm not sure the rhyme or reason behind it since the furniture hasn't moved since we bought it. While aesthetically I love that the top is glossy because it looks gorgeous (I have the red one), it does show dust or any little smudge like my dog bumping it with his nose. I feel like I'm always wiping it down so that it looks clean. I wish it was a matte metal so it would be less noticeable. Also it would be nice if it was a little quieter. I feel that, for my purpose, trying to cut down on hair and crumbs in between vacuuming bObsweep works well. Pros: easy to use, large dust bin perfect for pet hair, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST BY FAR! (Shout out to Ricky) Cons: gets stuck under dining chairs, weird random mapping pattern, hits things HARD, lacks virtual wall. Side note: I was given a Roomba 620 as a gift this past Christmas and it doesn’t even compare to my bOb: no programmable start, no remote, smaller dust bin and gets stuck super-fast with hair (dog and human). It now lives in the guest room unplugged waiting to be woken up only when needed on rare occasions.
