We have had our bObi for about a year. The vacuum is good as a whole, but there are some downfalls. PROS ABOUT PRODUCT: bObi does a phenomenal job cleaning my floors and really makes my house much cleaner than I was able to do without it. We have an extremely hairy dog that sheds a ton and the vacuum always picks up all his dirt and fur. CONS ABOUT PRODUCT: The most frequent issue we have with bObi is that the vacuum rarely, if ever, finds its way back to the docking station after a cleaning. We run it while we sleep and typically find it dead in a corner somewhere in the room it vacuums. In addition to this, we've had to send the vacuum in for check-ups 2-3 times over the last year. The causes for these check-ups have ranged from programming issues to a broken wheel. However, the process to deal with these repairs has been extremely easy and we always get our vacuum back better than it was when we sent it in. CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEW: In connection to the previous point about having to issues arise with our bObi, we have been extremely pleased by our interaction with customer service. Whenever we have something wrong with the vacuum, we send an email to the same customer service representative we've been corresponding with since the first issue. He is always very quick to reply and give us ways to troubleshoot the problem. If those suggestions do not work, he is always very helpful in ensuring the vacuum gets into the shop to get fixed up. This process usually takes a few weeks but besides missing our vacuum, there is no cost or inconvenience to us. OVERALL: We had a different brand of robot vacuum prior to this one, and we can honestly say we much prefer bObi. The customer service is quite possibly the best we've ever interacted with, and the vacuum truly does a wonderful job at its sole purpose of cleaning. We would absolutely buy the product again and always recommend it to friends in the market for robot vacuums.

We chose to get bObi mainly for the price point. It carries many features that we liked and was affordable. If you want to try out a robot vacuum, this is a good place to start. Pros: bObi is pretty! Its shiny and looks really sleek in either color. The dust bin is one of the largest on the market which means it collects more before you have to empty it. We have 2 dogs and 2 kids and I've never had to empty it before its cycle was complete. I do empty it before each use. All of the parts are easy to clean (filter, bin, brushes). While it is a little taller than other models, it still is able to get under most things, beds, cabinet edges, etc. The remote has a few different settings for scheduled cleaning but otherwise is mostly useless. We have a variety of flooring types and heights in our house and it navigates well over any of them. Just make sure to pick up rugs! As far as cleaning, it does a decent job sucking up hair and dust and any small things like food crumbs. I primarily use it on the tile in my kitchen and I rarely need to sweep. Cons: My biggest issue with bObi is that it keeps malfunctioning! We got our first one in Dec and by Feb we were sending it in for repair. That one lasted till April. Then we got a completely new one. It lasted til August before repair. I've had it back for a month or so now but I've come to accept it will probably die again soon. We sometimes have issues that others have mentioned with it not finding its charger but its fairly rare in my experience. BObi doesn't map the rooms, which we knew when we got it. Mistake! When we buy a better one, that is a must feature. Like I said above, the cleaning is ok. Tile is good, carpet it gets some of it. I still regular vacuum once a week or so with bObi going every day. Hair gets wrapped around the brush ends pretty frequently requiring a full take apart and clean out every couple weeks. I will say that the customer service is very good. Each time I've had to send it in, its been at no cost to me and they are pretty good about keeping you in the loop on progress. They package it up and send you a cute little note with it. Overall, its pretty basic. If you can't afford a really nice one, it'll do the trick. Just be aware there may be issues. There's no way I've gotten two lemons in a row. If I could go back, we would have saved up a little more and went for a nicer robot with mapping.

This thing was horrible. It really was a bad programming design. Mine would just spin around the same small space.

Broken within one month but missed the return Period of 25 days.

Worked great for about six months and then stopped working altogether.

Very slow and not great performance. We need more powerful vacuum cleaner as opposed to this slower one.

I just want to start by saying I got this Bobi vacuum on a deal of the day promotion. Plus I had some my Best Buy points to apply. Also, I had an email offering $10 certificate on any purchase over a certain amount before mother’s day. I got this for around $219. I would not pay $849 full price. At that point I would look into the roomba 980. I just can’t justify spending $799 or more on a vacuum. I am impressed with how quiet the Bobi vacuum is. I can use this and still hear the tv at regular volume. I am also happy with the suction power. The navigation could use improvement. I have never used a roomba but the camera on the 960 and 980 series vacuum sounds very cool to map your room so it knows where it has cleaned. This vacuum seems to wander around using various pre programmed patterns when cleaning. It doesn’t seem to keep track of where it has previously been and will sometimes keep going back to spots it has vacuumed already. If you don’t have an open floor plan this can get stuck pretty easily. I have a laptop table and this gets stuck on the legs “high centered” and can’t free itself. Not sure why it cannot see the table legs and instead runs over them. This will also get stuck under my dining room table if it finds its way under there and keeps bumping into the chair legs trying to get back out. This is what makes me think the camera on the roomba and mapping feature would help so it could “see” where it was navigating better. So, if you clear objects like that off the floor before starting Bobi you will get better results. Because of this however, I don’t feel I can run Bobi on a pre set schedule for unattended cleaning. It seems like I have to watch it so it doesn’t get stuck. Not too big of a deal for me since I get to watch tv while it does the work. I did write to Bobsweep technical support to ask them about the navigation of Bobi and they wrote back the next day offering to help run a diagnostic report to see if there were any problems with the sensors etc. but I haven’t run the diagnostic report yet since I think this is just the way they designed the navigation. Without the room mapping feature. It seems like Bobsweep does have very good technical support and if I did run into any technical issues I get the impression they would be happy to assist me. It was a nice touch that Bobsweep included an extra brush roller, extra side brush, mopping pad and hepa filter in the box. I have not used the mopping pad attachment yet. All in all I am still keeping Bobi and am overall happy enough with it.

Vacuum was too loud when running! Returned because of how loud it was!

I purchased this and it broke within a month. It was a mess to return.

It has a dust bin, Not a vacuum sealed chamber. Just a terrible machine.

This item did not do a good job. At all. I returned.

I have had the Bobi vacuum for about a year. We have a German shepherd mix that sheds like CRAZY! Forget tumble weeds, we get tumble furs. We also have a one year old who is into everything and thinks that everything on the floor means it needs to go in her mouth. I spent the majority of my cleaning time before Bobi on my floors. Bobi saved my sanity and gave me more time. It is so simple to press the go button and let her do half of the cleaning for me! While there are a few instances that I still need to pull out a traditional broom or vacuum, the majority of the time Bobi does a wonderful job! Cons- we have tile in our kitchen that has fairly deep grout. It is sometimes hard for Bobi to get everything out of the grooves (example: a glass broke and she could not get it all out from in between the tile). However, she did get everything else (and a good cleaning after!). Another is that sometimes the remote and Bobi will get out of sync. Not a big deal except when she scares the mess out of you at 2 in the morning bumping into your door because the time is off and she thinks that it is 5 in the evening! All in all a great product! Yes, you have to empty the collection tray, yes there are surfaces she can clean better than others, and yes sometimes there are small things that go wrong BUT I would never hesitate to recommend this product to anyone (and have numerous times).

The bObsweep looked good once I was able to assemble the pieces in the box. Initially, I liked a few things about it. The finish of the product (Red gloss) and minimal buttons on the device looked good. The dust bin seemed a bit small (had to empty daily) but it was pretty easy to do. The noise level was pretty low compared to regular vacuums. I did have a number of issues/concerns with the product. First, its algorithm for traversing an area is pretty bad. It took about an hour to vacuum a room that was 10x14 and it still missed areas. It refused to navigate to any other areas of the house unless I controlled it from the remote (at which point it would have been easier to use a handheld). The bot cannot see black furniture so it actually ended up stuck under my sectional. Another issue I had was the rotating brush to sweep the corners fell off. After about 10 days I decided to take it back and look for a different brand.

I didn't expect miracles for this price, but wanted a robot to handle daily cleanup and save my hard work for once or twice a week, and it does the job. Kinda wierd that it patterns randomly, but a friend said, "Then you don't have the perfect carpet lines like when you mow the yard!!" And it's true. It has only shut off on me when stuck somewhere, and that rarely happens, as it backs up by itself. Has run til end of battery charge twice, and returned to it's charging station. It's no 'super sucker', but I appreciate the help it gives around here!!
