Not good . Too bad
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately we were very disappointed. After the third time using “Dustin” it failed to work properly, made loud noises after we moved it to level 2 of suction to clean the floors. We cleans the roller brush underneath but to no avail. Thanks to Best Buy for working with us on returning the item and shipping it back and giving us our money back. We may start looking for another brand.

The Dustin model is the best yet!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my Dustin (or Bluey as my 4-year-old named him) for about 3 weeks now, and I absolutely love it! We've had a few Bobsweep products over the years, starting with our Bobsweep PetHair Plus, which was a great start, but there's no doubt the technology has improved. The only thing we haven't seen on newer models that the first one had that we liked was the UV light for disinfecting. Otherwise, everything has been an improvement, from the quality of the parts to the ease of cleaning the vacuum. This new one takes that to a new level with the self-cleaning, which works very well, albeit a bit loudly for a brief moment. We also have a previous model, the Bobsweep SLAM, and that has been an amazing model as well. This one is similar, so it maps the whole house and does a great job at cleaning everywhere, and very thoroughly, even on the eco-power setting. It also fits under almost all of our furniture, even some low pieces. In addition to the self-cleaning feature, another new feature I love is the ability (in the app) to have the Dustin continue cleaning the floor if his battery dies before finishing the whole floor. With that setting, he goes back to his dock, charges, and returns to clean any missed areas. The self-cleaning bin is a bit big, especially compared to the small charging dock of the SLAM model, but that's the price to pay for self-cleaning, and we just found a nice out of the way spot for it. On top of the performance and quality of the product, I can never say enough good things about the Bobsweep customer service. I've communicated with them several times throughout the years, and the responses and help have always been 5 stars! I had to use them more in the beginning, because honestly, the parts on the first PetHair Plus model we had didn't always last too long. But I have yet to use them for the SLAM, which we've had over a year, or the Dustin. I will be sticking with Bobsweep for all my robot vacuums for the foreseeable future!

Former Roomba owner now a bObsweep convert
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a two time Roomba owner having purchased my last Roomba several years ago before self emptying and mapping options were anywhere near an affordable price. I was becoming tired of having a Roomba that blindly bumped its way around the house getting stuck several times per session and thought I would give Dustin a try. Wow! This has been an extremely pleasant experience. Set up was simple, Dustin was renamed, and Hairold set about mapping the house. I set up a few exclusion zones where Hairold could avoid the extension cords under the couch and to stay clear of the dog food bowls. Hairold expertly navigates all other obstacles on his own, expertly navigating in and around dining room chair legs and coffee table legs. I was only able to use Roomba in one half of the house because the other half was full of obstacles where Roomba would constantly get stuck. Oh, and I have the vacuuming set to high and Hairold is still quieter than Roomba. Not only is Hairold's motor/vacuum quieter, you don't hear the sound of consistent bumping into walls and furniture like I did with Roomba. I should point out that although Hairold is quieter during operation, the self-emptying process is a bit loud, but only for about 3 seconds. The only issue I had was that although Hairold has enough battery power to clean the entire first floor in one session, he picks up so much dog hair that the chamber gets clogged and won't self empty. This was easily solved by scheduling Hairold to clean two rooms then return to self-empty, clean the next two rooms then return to self empty, and finally to clean the last room before returning to self empty, charge and rest until tomorrow. Hairold has been running 5 days a week for the past 8 weeks without any problems. I haven't tried out the mopping function yet, but am very happy with vacuuming capabilities.

Potentially defective unit?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Easy and straightforward to setup - connects to your network relatively quickly. Cons: Every 30-60 seconds an error code is thrown and it stops cleaning. This has made the unit completely inoperable. I suspect I have a defective unit as it is brand new.

A Robot the is almost perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I seems like we have had almost every robotic vacuum that has ever been made. Most of them roam around the house using sensors or cameras to avoid obstacles and getting stuck. Each version seems to get slightly better but none compare to Dustin. Dustin upgrades robot vacuums in a way similar to when your flip phone was replaced by the smart phone. Dustin maps your house using a type of radar (multiple maps can be stored). He uses these maps to ensure that he hits every spot. The app displays the maps and allows you to name rooms, create no mopping areas, and no sweep zones (see picture). These features eliminate almost every case of the unit getting stuck. The scheduling allows the user to choose rooms to clean and stores a report of his actions (see picture). Lots of stuff comes with Dustin. Spare filters, bags, etc… (see picture) The base contains a high quality vacuum bag that we’ve never had to replace. We just dump its contents inside it into the trash weekly. You can schedule the unit to empty the bin or do it manually. We prefer it manually so it doesn’t wake us after Dustin’s late night cleanings. One of the biggest improvements is the mopping attachment. The dust bin has a reservoir for water and a small clip-on cloth attachment, rather than having to change out the dust bin with a separate mopping one. We have yet to discover all the new features but Dustin has far exceeded our expectations. The only downside is that Dustin isn’t inexpensive at $1099 retail, but a great value if you can get him on sale

A Great Performer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review._____ *Pros: -Relatively quiet swirling operation during mopping and vacuuming. -Great suction power. -Self-emptying dust bin feature is a great time saver. -The LiDAR navigation did a great job mapping the rooms. -Images of your home doesn’t get sent to a cloud server – great for privacy. -Good battery life. -Integrated well with Google Home for voice commands. -The app is easy to navigate and responsive. -No-sweep, no-mop map boundaries actually work. _____ *Neutral: -The map editing screen could be better labeled and more intuitive. -The Edge sensors get dirty too frequently, setting off a notification in the app. -The Dust bags are proprietary and cost $18 for a 3-pack at regular price. -The water reservoir must be manually drained and refilled each time. -Only two pairs of mopping pads. _____ *Cons: -It got easily tangled by cords on the floor. Throughout the years, I’ve mostly used low- to mid-range robot vacuum and mopping machines, and among them, the bObsweep Dustin Combo is the best one yet. What elevated the Dustin Combo apart from the others for me was its relatively quiet operation, great mopping and vacuum performance, a powerful and easy to use app, the convenient self-emptying dustbin feature, and a geo-fencing feature that actually works. On the topic of design, the Dustin Combo is like many other robot vacuums on the market – round shape, a spinning side brush, mopping pads on the bottom, and a port on the bottom for filling and draining the water used for mopping. Compared to older machines, the Dustin Combo is a bit lighter. There are three buttons on top – Go, Charge, and WiFi – and they are used to start cleaning, send the robot back to its charging base, and to initiate a Wi-Fi connection to one’s home network, respectively. Setting up the bObsweep was a quick and painless process - turn it on, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on top, and use the app to connect the Dustin Combo to the home network. After that, you let the robot roam the house while it creates a map. The bObsweep initially creates partitions of the house into different zones but if you don’t agree with the layout, you can always jump into the Map settings and draw your own partitions. And that was the first thing I did – teaching the robot where the kitchen, the living room, the hallway, the bathroom, and the bedrooms are. I appreciate that my home layout is not uploaded to the cloud and the data stays local. Once the map was set up, I filled up the water tank and let it vacuum and mop the kitchen and the living room (all hard flooring). The bObsweep did an excellent job picking up dirt and debris as well as hair from our five pets (one Goldador, one Maltese, and three cats). The dual mops also did a great job, removing the dark streaks and blotches from the kitchen as well as making the living room floor look shiny and clean. The Dustin Combo did experience one mishap, and it was when it sucked in a laptop charging cable and it got snagged by one of the spinning mop pads, causing the said mop pad to come off the machine. Fortunately, it was smart enough to detect that something went wrong, and it stopped functioning shortly after. Once I pulled the cable out and popped the mop back in, it automatically resumed its run. Lesson learned – don’t leave any cables out because the bObsweep does not know how to avoid them. What I really liked about the app was all the customizations options available to me, such as setting vacuum power (low, medium, high), self-empty interval, mop intensity (off, light, medium, deep), auto-resume, edge detection, FloorSense (automatically lifts the mops when carpet is encountered, and a mute toggle for sounds and notifications. The bObsweep is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, and I have added it to my Google Home. Now, onto a little bit of criticism. Although the app is powerful, snappy, and easy to use, there was one setting, the Map setting, where things could’ve been executed better. When you tap into the Map setting, you’re presented with a whole bunch of icons with no labels next to them. In order to find out what they do, you have to tap each option first then the following screen will inform you what that option is about. I find this to be un-user friendly and a bit tedious and annoying. I also found the frequent notifications about the Edge sensors needing cleaning annoying. They supposedly need cleaning once weekly, but I’ve been getting alerts about them at least once a day. I don’t know if it’s a false alarm or they really get dirty that frequently. Besides these two things, I’m otherwise very satisfied and happy with the Dustin Combo. Thanks to the big dust bag, I don’t have to empty the machine after each vacuum cycle and just do it like once a month. And thanks to the dual spinning mop pads that apply pressure to the floor, the cleaning result is far superior to robots that simply rub a mob pad back and forth over the surface. And the app and the robot are smart enough to actually remember and enforce the NoSweep and NoMop boundaries that I’ve set, which all of my other robot cleaners have repeatedly failed. After all things considered, I give it 4.5 Stars. It does well at what it was designed to do and saves me lots of time so I can focus on other stuff.

Great Vacuum Bot Not for Mop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This robot vacuum, Dustin from bObsweep, is very well made with a soft and smooth texture. It actually feels premium and is one of the quietest robot vacuums I have used. This robot vacuum both vacuums and mops. It has a small onboard water reservoir with two mopping pads. The reservoir is removable, although it does need to be refilled often. The charging base has the same smooth finish as the robot and features a compact form factor, which makes placement much easier. It works over Wi-Fi, so it can be controlled remotely, and it also supports Alexa and Google Assistant. The setup process was straightforward. You simply download the bObsweep app and follow the prompts. Once setup is complete, send the robot to create a map of your home, and by far this was one of the fastest mapping systems I have seen. It completed the mapping process within minutes and did so very accurately, which genuinely impressed me. Using it is very simple, whether through voice commands, the app, or by pressing the Go button directly on the robot. Performance-wise, the suction power is good and can be adjusted through the app. One of the standout cleaning features for me was the cleaning pattern. It first goes around the edges of the room and then works its way through the center. It was actually pretty cool to watch, especially because it does all of this with minimal noise. The robot is also smart enough to accurately detect both hard floors and carpets. Once it detected carpet, it automatically stopped the mopping function and lifted the two mopping pads. This is a combo vacuum, and while it does an excellent job vacuuming floors, it is far from perfect as a mop. In my opinion, the mopping feature should not have been included without proper water cleaning equipment. The reason is that the “mopping” is really more like lightly wetting the floor. I have owned several combo vacuums that include systems for collecting dirty water and automatically cleaning the pads during mopping sessions to avoid spreading dirt around. This vacuum does not have a dirty-water collection system or an automatic pad-cleaning feature. As a result, spills or heavily soiled areas can simply be spread across the floor by the wet pads. That, for me, is one of its biggest flaws. The pads also need to be manually washed frequently, which adds extra maintenance. The app itself is functional but not very intuitive and definitely comes with a learning curve. The UI feels outdated and lacks a more modern, refined design. Navigating some menus requires too much tapping back and forth, and many options are represented only by icons without proper labels, especially in the map editing tool, so you often have to guess what they do by opening them. Creating and editing rooms also requires too many steps, and there is no option for custom room naming, you are limited to preset names only. The good part is that most of these issues could likely be improved through future software updates. Although this is one of the quietest robot vacuums I have used, I cannot say the same about the dust extraction system on the base. While self-emptying bases are usually loud, this one is easily among the loudest despite having one of the smallest bases I have seen. Overall, the Dustin robot vacuum performs extremely well when it comes to vacuuming and does so very quietly. It is well constructed, smart, and easy to use. While the included mopping pads technically work, this robot clearly feels more designed for vacuuming than true mopping. As for the pricing it is definitely well priced for what it offers, specs found on high end vacuums and great vacuum performance. In the box, you get the Dustin vacuum, charging station, station pad, mopping pads, cleaning brushes, dust bags, vacuum and mopping rollers, and manuals.

Solid unit. Powerful with effective mopping.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mapping and overall functionality is very good for this model. Strong overall vacuum suction and leaves nice tracks in the carpet. We've used the mopping feature several times and the spinning mop heads seems to do a noticeably better job than our other model which is the Dustin vacuum/mop but that mop does not spin it just drags the wet mop pads. So far we are impressed with this model; quiet, powerful and well suited for cleanups between occasional deep cleans.

A must buy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently, upgraded our Bobi Pet Robotic Vacuum to The Dustin Self- Emptying Robot Vacuum. Our family has two kids, a long hair cat and our newest addition a golden retriever. Needless to say it’s a must in our house to have a robotic vacuum! Dustin definitely has some noticeable upgrades that I love! First, he vacuums the perimeter of the room and then goes back and forth in a sections until he clears that room. I saw crumbs coming from under my baseboard that Dustin was sweeping out/ picking up. Dustin is very quiet and is very good at finding its charging station. The self emptying feature is the only part that is loud, but this is over in seconds and or can be turned off. Our old vacuum didn’t understand that there was feet in front of it, and would come vacuum your feet. Dustin definitely doesn’t run over any feet! I find cleaning Dustin is also easier and very easy to remove parts. I am glad we continued to stay with bObsweep! They truly have the best customer service/ warranty.

Dustin is a great addition to my housekeeping team
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't normally write reviews unless I reall like a product and Dustin is great! He does a good job helping me keep my floors clean. I just used the mopping option for the first time and was happy with the shine the damp mopping left on my floors. I dont think it is meant for very dirty, sticky floors but my hardwood floors are oil treated so I used the lowest performance level and it shined them up. I set the performance to high for vacuuming. My home is 2660 sq ft. and Dustin goes back to his station once, recharges and then finishes the rest of the house. I dont think any of the robot vacs will work well on shag carpet (i dont have any), but he does a good job on my large area rugs in my living room and entry. The mapping program is great, especially when I only need to clean one room or send Dustin to clean a small area. I especially like the self emptying feature, my old robot did not have it. The app is very user friendly too. I would highly recommend Dustin. It is a great addition to my housecleaning crew (I happen to be the only other employee!!).

Big Suck Energy, Manual Mop Drama and Big Dirt Sac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bObsweep Dustin has earned spot in my lineup: a house that’s already used to having bots crawl around doing things. I’m coming from the Max 10 series, so my bar is fairly high, and this little guy has a lot going for it. I don’t mind mixing brands at all, and “Dustin” genuinely feels like it deserves its own space. It vacuums well, navigates reliably enough, and has a couple of standout features that make it more than just “another cheapo robot vacuum.” *** Dustbin, bags, and maintenance The first big win is the bag capacity. The bags in Dustin’s dock are *huge* compared to what I’m used to. With my iRobot docks, I usually have to swap bags every 30–40 days. With this dock, the bag seems to have roughly three times the capacity in actual use. That’s a big deal. In a well-maintained home, especially if you’re running multiple bots on different floors, you’re realistically looking at potentially half a year before you even have to think about emptying or touching the dock. For anyone who wants a “set it and mostly forget it” robot, that low-maintenance factor is a major selling point. *** Privacy and navigation One of the things I really appreciate is what it *doesn’t* have: there’s no camera. It navigates primarily with LIDAR, and that’s enough for it to map and move around the home without constantly bumping into things. The added peace of mind is that the data is kept on U.S. servers, so if you’re privacy‑sensitive or just tired of random internet‑connected cameras roaming your house, this design approach is refreshing. It feels like a robot that’s trying to do its job without turning into a roving security cam. However, you do lose OBJECT AVOIDANCE, which I will detail in the section next. *** Noise, cleaning performance, and “smartness” On the noise front, it’s somewhat louder than some of the other bots I have. It’s not “jet engine” loud, but if you’re used to quieter models, you’ll notice it. The tradeoff is that it vacuums just as well as the others: carpets and hard floors are cleaned to a level I’d call “no complaints.” It doesn’t leave obvious lines of debris or miss big patches. In terms of behavior, it doesn’t feel quite as methodical as the most advanced bots out there. Some robots run with very clear, efficient grids and seem to get smarter run after run. Dustin doesn’t really give that “I’ve evolved” vibe over time. It basically came in at about a 95% solution and more or less stayed there. The upside is that it still covers the space well and doesn’t require a bunch of remapping or fiddling. It also handled larger temporary obstacles—like moved chairs, rolling carts, or tables—quite well. It finds its way around that kind of stuff without drama. The weak spot is smaller, softer hazards like cables or, in my case, a sock that managed to completely “sock up” the works. It’s not unique in that weakness, but you’ll still want to do some basic floor prep, and that's a downer, which probably means this should be on your floor with less regular clutter, or if you already tend to keep a pretty tidy floor. Toddlers that leave toys around probably should pick up before you schedule a cleaning mission with this bot. *** Mopping experience Vacuuming is where this thing shines. Mopping is… good, but more manual than I’d like. It can mop, and in terms of actual floor cleaning, it does a solid job. The problem is the dock. It doesn’t handle cleaning the spinning mop heads at all. That means when it’s done, *you* are the one cleaning the mop heads manually. I really don’t love that. My personal benchmark is: if I have a robot, I want it to take care of itself as much as possible. Filling water, fine. Constantly dealing with dirty mop heads, not so much. So I’d rate it “big thumbs up” for vacuuming and “good, but hands-on” for mopping. *** Overall RECOMMENDED! I’m impressed. This is a very nice robot that stands up well in a home already running more premium bots. Massive bag capacity, privacy‑minded design with LIDAR and no camera, strong vacuum performance, and solid handling of everyday obstacles all make it easy to live with. The downsides are more noise than some competitors, mopping that requires manual cleanup of the pads, and navigation that feels more “good enough” . Dustin has strong vacuuming with low maintenance and you’re okay doing a bit of manual work on the mopping side, Dustin is absolutely worth a spot in the house. It has a spot in my heavily bott-ed house and will work well on its own as well. RECOMMENDED!

bObsweep Dustin - Such a Great Vacuum and Mop Bot!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several different robotic vacuums from different makers, but the Dustin Robot Vacuum & Mop, Model: PET24-7-215, is my first bObsweep and I am impressed. I ordered this for my sister and had her come over to my house to allow her see it in action and set it up to control on her phone. Upon arrival, I opened the well packed box which contains three separate boxes - one for the Charging Station, one for Dustin the Combo Robot, and one for plentiful Accessories. The box for Dustin the Robot comes with a cute picture of a stork carrying a baby and says "Congratulations - It's a Bot!". In the Accessories box there is an announcement card proclaiming Dustin's birth, which made me smile! The Accessories box also contains a Rubber Main Brush, an extra Dust Bag, two Side Brushes (one extra), a Filter, a Cleaning Tool, four Mop Clothes, two Mop Attachments, a Warranty Card and the Owner's Manual. The Charging Bed is packed behind the boxes. Dustin comes with excellent instructions having both a Quick Start Guide and an in-depth, comprehensive Owner's Manual in the box. There are instructional stickers on the unit itself to keep one informed. On the Quick Start Guide there are several QR codes for videos that show you how to get start, how to use the bObsweep phone App, how to set up and connect to Wi-Fi and numerous Quick Tips for using and cleaning Dustin. I highly suggest you read and review these materials first to make the most out of setting-up, using and maintaining the Dustin Combo. I read and followed the Quick Start Guide to get Dustin ready for placing the units in an appropriate place and for its initial charging on the Station. First you need to remove some protective tape and blocking from both Dustin and the Charging Station. Then snap a Side Brush and two Mop Attachments onto Dustin's bottom side. Place the Charging Station in your chosen area and mount the Charging Bed's pins beneath the Charging Station lined up into the sockets. Plug in the Charging Station. Align Dustin's two metal nodes to the Station's charging plates and make contact, if done properly, the indicator light on Dustin will blink slowly showing that it is charging. Once Dustin is fully charged the indicator light is solid, follow the Quick Start Guide instructions to download the bObsweep App onto your phone, open the App, setup WiFi, enable Alexa, if desired, and click "Add Bot" on the App Home Page to begin pairing. My sister and I found all of this went quickly and smoothly due to the App being very intuitive. Then comes Mapping. Dustin did a fine job of navigating my complex floors that are busy with chair legs, throw rugs, and low furniture. Mapping is generally a relatively slow and complex process unless you select Swift Map in the App, which cuts the process down to a few minutes depending on how large and complex is your space. That is what we used. Dustin successfully mapped my floors, then returned to its Charging Station upon completion. We saved the map, then it was then ready to run a cleaning job. Dustin's App announced that it was ready to clean. My sister employed the setting that allows Dustin to return to the Charging Station and self-empty its bin and charge then resume cleaning if it cannot finish in one session. Then she set it to just vacuum the mapped area. Dustin went off and performed well following the newly saved map and remapping a few obstacles that I placed in its way. My floors hadn't been vacuumed for a couple of weeks, so Dustin did have to return to its Charging Station once in process to empty its bin and then continued vacuuming admirably. Both my sister and I were impressed at how quickly and well it navigated and cleaned. I have seen some of the other reviews of this unit and I can only think that someone did not read and follow the instructions well. If you use a complex tool incorrectly, then you can expect poor results. I emphatically recommend reading instructions closely and following instructions well to get great results. Perform regular maintenance as needed to keep your new bot up and running the way you expect. I have recommended the bObsweep Dustin Combo to friends and family.

Simply the best robot vacuum I've encountered
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing. Hands down the best robot vacuum I've had. Background: I've used Roomba's, I've used Deebots. I've used no-name generic vacuum robots from Amazon. And this is BY FAR the best I've had. Moral of the story: You get what you pay for. And this is worth it. What I like: Mapping of the house. Ability to divide rooms on map. Ability to schedule the entire area or portions of the area - and have multiple schedules. (The fact that I can clean high-traffic areas more often.). Ability to control the vacuum power (I have a corgi... and let me tell you, this little robot gets all of her "corgi glitter" - aka unending fur - without a problem). The ability to use the same robot as a wet mop. And to schedule different cleaning areas and times for mopping versus vacuuming. An amazing app - intuitive and easy to use. And the fact that this robot finds its way back to the charging station (none of my others could actually pull off that feat) is awesome. Oh yea. The fact that it empties itself - and I don't need to remember to do it after every cleaning. Full disclosure - this automated emptying is why I purchased the robot... and I'm so glad that I did. What I don't like: Nothing. Seriously, I can't come up with anything. I don't like about the robot. Bottom line: You get what you pay for. Don't screw around. Go for this best. And in my opinion, this one is simply the best. (My advice - Best Buy often runs sales on this robot. It's worth the full price. You'll be even happier if you get it on sale, like I did!)

How Dustin Robot Proved Me Wrong And Won My Heart
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From Skeptical to Surprised: My First Impressions I’ll be honest - when I ordered the bObsweep Dustin Robot Vacuum & Mop Combo, I wasn’t totally confident in my choice. I’ve always stuck with the big-name brands, and I’d barely heard of bObsweep before. That alone made me wonder whether I was taking a gamble. But the price was hard to ignore, so I figured… why not give it a shot? The moment it arrived, my hesitation started to fade. The unboxing experience felt surprisingly premium. Inside were the robot, the charging base, and a generous set of extra tools and replacement parts. Setting it up took maybe fifteen minutes, and most of that was just me exploring the app - which, by the way, is incredibly clear and easy to use. It immediately felt like the company actually thought about the user experience. Putting It to the Test in My Chaotic Office I decided to test the Dustin Robot in the toughest room I have: my office. It’s basically an obstacle course - constant foot traffic, a big meeting table, chairs everywhere. After giving the robot an hour to charge, I started its first cleaning run and watched its progress through the app. To my surprise, the first run lasted twenty-one minutes and went way better than expected. The mapping and object detection were shockingly good for a brand I’d never tried before. It only bumped into furniture twice, and on the next pass, it avoided those same spots entirely. That alone told me the robot was actually learning the space. The suction power stayed strong the whole time too - easily on par with some of the pricier models I’ve used. Mopping Performance & The Base Station That Means Business Next up was the mopping feature. On my office floors, it did a solid job keeping things clean day-to-day. It struggled a bit with dried mud (which honestly is tough for most robot mops), but for regular maintenance, it performed really well. It’s definitely more of a “keep things clean” mop than a “scrub disaster zones” mop. The base station, though, deserves its own shoutout. When the robot docks, the base kicks in with a powerful suction that empties the dustbin automatically. You can actually hear how strong it is. Since setting it up, I’ve barely had to do any maintenance at all. It’s become my main cleaning tool in the office, and it’s been incredibly reliable. The Real Talk: Strengths and Small Limitations No robot vacuum is perfect, and this one is no exception. Like every round robot, it can’t fully reach into tight corners. That’s just the nature of the shape, not a flaw in the design. I still do a quick manual touch-up in those spots when needed. But honestly, considering the price, the Dustin Robot delivers outstanding value. It cleans well, navigates intelligently, mops effectively, and the base station is a huge bonus. It outperforms several higher-priced competitors I’ve tried, and it does it without cutting corners. If you’re looking for a dependable, budget-friendly robot vacuum and mop combo that doesn’t feel cheap or underpowered, I can confidently recommend the bObsweep Dustin. It surprised me in all the right ways.

Amazing robot vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This will be our 3rd bObsweep robot vacuum cleaner and is the best so far. Really love the self emptying aspect. That feature is loud but is over quickly. So many great features with this product from the mobile app to control the cleaning schedule, the mapping technology, and ability to control the vacuum suction power. Also for lager homes has an auto resume if the battery runs out prior to finishing. We stay loyal to bObsweep partly for their great products and mostly for their awesome customer service! If bOb ever has an issue customer service is always very responsive with a multitude of options from repairing to potential upgrades when available. Most products these days do not offer that kind of service.

Excellent product especially for the price!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is a game-changer for anyone seeking a hands-off cleaning experience. The standout feature for me is the advanced LiDAR navigation system, which maps your home with impressive precision. It ensures the vacuum efficiently covers all areas without missing spots or retracing the same path unnecessarily. Unlike other vacuums I’ve used (looking at you, Roomba), this one almost never gets stuck, even in tight spaces or around furniture legs. Another huge plus is the self-emptying base, which makes maintenance incredibly convenient. The vacuum automatically empties its dustbin into the base after each cleaning session, so you don’t have to worry about frequent emptying. This feature alone saves so much time and effort. In terms of overall performance, it handles pet hair, debris, and dust effortlessly. It’s also quiet and intuitive to use, with an app that allows for customized cleaning schedules and zone targeting. If you’re looking for a vacuum that combines smart navigation, reliable performance, and minimal intervention, this is a fantastic option. It’s far superior to most of its competitors, including Roomba, in terms of efficiency and ease of use. Highly recommend!
