Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the excellent cleaning performance, particularly how well the mop reaches edges, and praise its ease of setup, relatively quiet operation, and strong suction power. Many also appreciate the comprehensive accessories included and the convenient auto-emptying feature. However, some users found the app functionality tricky initially, and there are concerns regarding its object avoidance capabilities and navigation issues over time.

The bObsweep Maxim delivers many premium features found in most flagship all in one robots such as: a self-emptying dock, automatic mop washing and drying, LiDAR navigation, obstacle detection, edge-cleaning extensions. Setup is straightforward. The robot quickly creates detailed maps using LiDAR navigation and allows you to create room specific cleaning routines, no-go zones, and customized schedules through the app. I have a toddler that makes a mess constantly and the Maxim’s 22,000Pa of suction power really showed when cleaning up the mess on my hard floors and area rug in the living room. The combination of strong suction and dual rotating mop pads allowed the Maxim to pick up dust, dirt, crumbs, and the extendable side brush and mop arm help reach corners and edges that robots with Le's features leave behind. As the Maxim detected my living room area rug it automatically lifted the mops so that the carpet would not get wet. The dock is one of the strongest reasons to consider this model. It automatically empties debris, washes mop pads with heated water, and dries them with hot air. I hope the activated charcoal filtration system lasts for a long time since robots tend to smell after a few years, especially if you are unable to deep clean them. bObsweep’s claims image processing occurs entirely on the robot rather than being uploaded to cloud servers, which is good for privacy conscious customers. While this isn't something I verified it is another reminder that your home map from your robots is getting uploaded somewhere you may not like. Overall the Maxim vacuums and mops on a routine basis in my home, does a good job at avoiding obvious obstacles, and provides my family extra time together. I am primarily responsible for maintaining the Maxim, which takes 15 minutes every weeks depending on how much you use it. For us we use the Maxim multiple times a day which warrants more maintenance.

Excellent vacuum! Better than many I’ve used

This is an excellent vacuum/mopping robot. I’ve had many of these over the years, and so far this one is the winner. The box is very well packed and includes everything you need with a few extras, including floor cleaning solution and extra side and floor mopping brushes. Setup: this took almost no time. Once unpacked, you plug in the base, snap on the ramp, turn on the robot and set it on the base. Once it’s powered up, you open the app and follow the setup instructions. It took me just a few minutes from start to finish and getting the robot on its way. The best thing to do is have the robot to an initial mapping run. This took a handful of minutes, and it drove around and mapped the floor. It didn’t bump into stuff during this, it simply drove around and “looked” and mapped as it went. This map was very accurate, it worked surprisingly well. Next up, you can adjust the map by adding no vacuum or mop zones, combine or split rooms, name rooms. Using the app you are able to start a quick clean, which will clean the entire map, or you can select certain rooms for the robot to clean. You are able to have the robot mop, vacuum, or both. The app has quite a few settings you can change, such as vacuuming or mopping intensity and update software. The water tanks are very easy to clean, fill and empty. The dirt bag is also easy to empty after it gets full. Definitely recommend!

Looks premium but misses the mark against the comp

The bObsweep Maxim All‑in‑One Robot Vacuum & Mop in Titanium Black has been a mixed experience so far, landing somewhere between impressive and frustrating. Visually, it looks like a premium, full‑featured robot vacuum with a large base station and a substantial footprint, but in everyday use it has not quite lived up to the expectations set by its specs and price. On the positive side, the basic vacuuming and mopping functions are fairly good when it manages to complete a full run. It is relatively quiet compared to some other robot vacuums, and the cleaning performance on both hard tile floors and throw rugs has been solid once it gets going. It does a decent job of distinguishing between the two surfaces, transitioning smoothly and keeping dust and debris under control across the majority of the floor. The base station is one of the highlights. It does a good job of self‑maintenance by washing, drying, and emptying the dustbin, which reduces how often it needs direct human attention. Features like the heated water tank and the extended arms that reach more into corners are genuinely appealing and make it feel like a more advanced system. Battery life has seemed okay so far, and aside from a couple of early hiccups during setup, the robot generally finds its way back to the dock without much issue. Where this robot starts to fall short is in its object detection and overall reliability. While it does offer mapping and object detection, in practice the object detection has not worked very well. It frequently finds and tries to “eat” small items like your daughters’ toys and dog toys, which then causes the vacuum to stop and require manual intervention. This kind of behavior can quickly become frustrating, especially when you are expecting it to handle a typical household environment with kids and pets. Size is another consideration. This unit is quite large and takes up a noticeably bigger footprint than other robot vacuums you have used. That might be acceptable if the performance and reliability were outstanding, but combined with the quirks, the size becomes one more factor that makes it harder to fully embrace the product. Overall, while the bObsweep Maxim has some genuinely attractive features like the all‑in‑one base station, heated water tank, corner‑reaching arms, and decent cleaning ability when it completes a cycle. Te combination of imperfect object detection, occasional docking issues, and its larger footprint make it hard to confidently recommend at its current price. You want to like it based on what it promises and some of what it delivers, but for now it ends up feeling like a bit of a miss rather than a clear win.
