They advised me to have Best Buy swap for a new one but when I returned to the store, manager informed me they don’t normally sell Boost SIM cards & that was the ONLY one avail! Seriously? why even sell it at all then, is my question? Value of purchase WOULD HAVE BEEN great, had I actually been able to use it … bummed

Best Buy personnel told us it was simple to setup on the phone. We tried it and couldn't get it to work went back to Best Buy and they helped us to get to the activating stag and we left as they said this could take a while. Well it never did activate and we call Boost help and they couldnt get it to work and told us it was a problem with the new phone we just purchased. Back to Best Buy. In the end we went across the street to a Cricket store and signed up with them.

They refused to active them under my name so had to make a second account. I wouldnt say its best buys problem. More toward boost mobile

The website wouldn’t let me activate it, tried calling customer service and the rep wasn’t able to activate it either. Had to return it and hoping Best Buy will refund me even though the sim kit was opened. Maybe Best Buy forgot to validate the kit before shipping it to me?? (Kind of like those gift cards that have no value until activated at the register)

Posted .The phone you were using is most likely locked with a carrier. You need to contact the carrier and ask them to unlock your device. You should then be able to go on the Boostmoble.com website or call customer service and go through the activation process. Tell customer service that you had to unlock your device. I'm sorry that Customer Service didn't troubleshoot this but I believe this is your issue.
