Buyer Beware: Sold an Expired SIM Card and Got the
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a terrible deal. I purchased the SIM card on 9/8/2024, and it was delivered on 9/12/2024. After receiving it, I found that the SIM card couldn’t be activated because it needed to be activated by 4/29/2024, which was printed on the card. I called Best Buy customer service and was transferred to 7 different representatives (having to repeat my full name, phone number, email, call-back number, and explain the issue each time), only to be told that the item was non-refundable. They even suggested I contact Boost Mobile to activate the expired card. I called Boost Mobile, but they couldn’t activate it either. I’m beyond frustrated—avoid this card at all costs.

I was on the phone with Boost Customer Services for over 2 hours and couldn't get them activated. Launched a ticket and asked for additional 72 hours.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up purchasing an expired SIM card, and by the time I realized it, the return window had already passed. I purchased two Boost Mobile prepaid SIM cards on July 17th and attempted to activate them today. However, I noticed that the activation date is listed as before May 27th.

Q: QuestionIs there a certain time frame that I need to activate a new account after buying this kit?
Asked by alohachip.
- A:Answer Your SIM card has an expiration date listed on it. That would be the last time you could activate it. Good news is that date is years out.
Answered by Boost Mobile

Q: QuestionI have two questions. 1) Can I keep my phone number from T Mobile and port it in as a new customer and if so how many days notice do you need to do this. 2) if I buy the 3 month card, can I cancel before 3 months and not get charged.
Asked by Johnnyboy1.
- A:Answer Yes, you can port your number in from T Mobile. To activate the card you go online to boostmobile.com and it will ask you if you want to port a number over and walk you through how to do it. And yes you can cancel before the 3 months is up. You will get notified I believe via email letting you know the 3 months is coming up and Boost gives you time to decide to continue or not. If you have additional questions please call our customer service and they should be able to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for purchasing Boost!
