Ok Phone, but needs more internal memory storage!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this phone a few months ago after my Samsung galaxy 2 finally gave up the ghost. Liked the fact that the Stylo had a nice 5.7" screen and a stylus pen included; was always curious about the stylus on the galaxy note, but this seemed to fit the bill to satisfy that curiosity. The phone seems to work ok for most basic smart phone features that I use it for (making calls, checking emails, text, using apps, etc). However, I was let down with two things about the phone: Full HD IPS display screen quality wasnt bad, but the viewing angle pales in comparison to the AMOLED display on my really old samsung galaxy, which was surprising as great viewing angle is the IPS claim to fame. I think this is a limitation of the IPS display in general in comparison to AMOLED/OLED. However, the really big complaint is the lack of internal memory storage. At 8GB, over half (around 4.5GB) of this storage is dedicated to the phone's OS out of the box. After only a few months of owning this phone, I have only 2.5GB of apps installed on the phone and a constant warning on the phone saying "Low internal Memory!". Even after meticulously deleting all unnecessary system apps, programs and cache, at this point, I cannot download any more apps or make updates, which is frustrating considering I am a very miserly user of the phones' memory. This is ridiculous, never had this issue with the Samsung Galaxy. Worse thing yet on this phone, you cannot move a lot of the downloaded apps to the external SD card (as I could with my Galaxy). I have installed a 64GB external SD card in the phone and hardly any of this memory can be used. Why have the option of an external card if it cannot be utilized? So other than making phone calls and using the limited apps I currently have on the phone, I am stuck with an overpriced paperweight. Seems as if a lot of the "no contract" phones have this internal memory limitation and the Stylo is not the only exception. Note to phone manufacturers, this is 2016, not 2006; please start giving the consumer more internal storage on these phones (at least 16GB to start with) or give us the option of expanding the internal storage or utilizing more of the external SD storage that the phones have as an option. As memory is so affordable these days, I (and am sure others) would gladly pay a greater (but small) premium in upfront cost of the phone for sufficient usable memory not to have to put up with this unbelievable inconvenience (I know, first world problems). For this reason, I cannot recommend this phone. Wish I could return, but at this point past the 14 day return limitation.

TERRIBLE!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slowest phone ever, It takes 6 seconds to open up any application. The Keyboard, sometimes won't even pop up when I want to type something I should've listened to all the bad reviews it got on Boost page, but nooo, I wanted a nice big phone for cheap....but instead got the slowest smartphone ever. Something that happens every single time: I can't have 2 application be open at the same time, this phone will start to fail, it will be slowest thing ever, sometimes I can't even answer a call because it's too slow to recognise that I pressed on the green button. Please people listen to me and the rest of the people that gave this a bad review, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

Fantastic Design With Back Buttons
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG Phone is Superior in design, which allows much easier management, opposed to front buttons. The colors are Bold and Bright, along with large screen, I find it an excellant choice.

LG Substitutes Brains For Brawn
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What you gain in screen size you exponentially lose in processing speed, memory, and reliability! I bought this phone a few months ago at $160 and now Best Buy is selling it for $80. I guess LG realizes that it's only worth half of what they figured because it only performs half the time!!! Often, this phone will not allow you to answer a phone call. It's simply freezes up and then you lose the call. When changing from one app to another the lack of RAM size (1gb) and processor speed (1.2Ghz) really hinders you from getting things done in a time efficient manner! The extremely small internal memory storage of 8GB prohibits you from having very many apps on this phone. The number of apps allowed to be transferred to the external micro SD card is extremely prohibited, as well. Google also will not allow you to delete ANY apps nor transfer them to the micro SD card either. If you rely on a phone for your job or for other urgent matters regarding setting alarms and reminders then stay away from this phone! It's extremely unreliable in that aspect! Now, if you like screen size and a decent MP camera for both front-facing and rear-facing then this phone will suit that purpose. Another thing that is very irritating (to me anyway!) is that the power/standby button is on the back instead of on top of, or on one of the sides. Maybe that's not an issue to some people but it took me a very long time to get used to it and I still don't like it. But, that's a very minor detail. The battery life is kind of quirky. Sometimes it lasts a while other times it drains quite fast. Of course, the usage - like watching videos VS 'regular browsing' - is taken into consideration; so this is an overall conclusion. If you're thinking of buying the new version of this phone I would strongly reconsider. According to my research the processor is exactly the same as on this phone - 1.2Ghz. All they did was double the memory both RAM (1gb to 2gb) and ROM (8gb to 16gb) which might help; but the processor speed plays an important role, as well. But, again, if you want a phone merely for its screen size, which actually will rival some “notes" that are out there, then this phone will do the job. Albeit, you're sacrificing the brains (processing speed, response time and reliability) for brawn (the screen size)!!

Absolutely no internal memory
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you plan on using this device solely as a means to call/text/email and maybe download literally a couple of social media apps then this phone will work for you. However if you're a moderate app user ( at least 4-5 downloaded apps) which I would assume most people are then do yourself a favor and skip this phone. The device looks great and works very well until you realize a majority of the internal memory is clogged up by pre-loaded that you have no control over. Then there is serious lag and other issues that actually renders the phone unusable.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have noticed that features that it should have it doesn't have like andriod beam and it has very lousy internal memory 8gig is a joke it really come with 3 gig that is available and ot wont let use a micro SD card. I bought one for this phone and it wont let me move any apps onto it and it wont let me use it for default storage. It is by far the worst smart phone i have ever had.

8 GB is not enough
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was happy with my Stylo until I started having clients tell me they were sending texts that I was not receiving. It turns out that 8GB is not enough internal memory to run the phone with the latest update even with an SD card. I run my whole business off my phone. If my clients think they are contacting me and I am not responding I lose. I expect a phone to tell me when someone is calling me or texting me. This is the most basic expectation I can think of. I like that I can check email and manipulate spreadsheets too but please deliver my calls and texts. This 8GB phone is use apparently useless.
