I finally had to retire my LG Venice after 6 years- was getting memory errors as the phone is 4GB, So it was time to get a new one, Love Boost and Love the Venice phone for the 6 years- so it was a natural fit to get another LG phone- Looked on line on the LG site on the latest models and this had it all that I needed- not really into allot of apps and with the expandable SD card that you can ad, It's 8GB memory internal + the SD card- if you are not really into allot of apps, and want an all around reliable, sleek good phone this is a good option- Best Buy has a price break on it now so for $50 it was a no brainer. Very happy with this phone.

    Setting up Alerts

Fantastic phone at the Black Friday price. This phone is missing some of the bells and whistles, features such as Mirror Cast, Wireless Remote Control, and NFC. However, the one feature that is a must have are alerts for calls or text messages, and after searching was happy to discover that you CAN use the flash as an alarm or alert. These are the steps: Tap on Settings (icon of gear) Then tap on the General tab (in tab view) Tap on Accessibility "Use settings for people with physical disabilities". Under "Persistent notifications" Tap on right to change it to "On". Tap on the left side "Persistent notifications" and new screen will appear where you can set "Alerts are repeated at set intervals for selected apps." In "Repeat interval" you choose the "Repeat interval" as Every 15 sec, or Every 30 sec, or Every 60 sec, or Every 90 sec, or Every 120 sec Then Under "APPS TO SELECT" Tap to turn "On" for the specific apps To set the flash as an alert: Go to Settings Then go to Accessibility Tap Hearing. Tap on right side of Flash alerts "Flash blinks for incoming calls, messages and alarms" to change to "On". Tap on Flash alerts and the "Missed alerts" option appears tap to turn On "Flash blinks every 12 sec for missed calls and unread messages" Unfortunately, there is no option to change the flash blinks time. Also if you having difficulty with sending or receiving emoji's. Here is the Fix for sending or receiving emoji's. Tap the "Messenger" icon Tap on the 3 little dots in the top right corner of the screen. Tap on "Settings" and then tap on "Advanced" and turn OFF Use simple characters, No blue dot. Much happier now after making these changes.

This is a great phone! I was looking to replace my Samsung Galaxy Prevail LITE but it was to pricy for my pockets at the time. I was hesitant to go back to LG for I had storage issues with a previous LG phone I purchased 2 years ago. I checked the reviews and the specs and they were similar to the Galaxy Prevail so I gave it a go anyway. The LG phone had more memory than the Samsung. I haven't had to add any extra memory yet! The operating system is similar to the Galaxy and the camera is great as well! Great price and great upgrade LG!

Bought this on Black Friday for $19.99

For the price, I love the phone. I've purchased the prior 2 year budget LG Black Friday $20 specials (2014 LG Realm, 2015 LG Tribute 2). I wish this had a colored LED notification light like the LG Realm. Although it's not listed on the specs, FM radio works, with the Next Radio app and headphones as an antenna. I love the 5" screen and larger storage of 16 GB (compared to 4 GB and 8 GB for the prior years). I use a microSD card to store my music and podcasts. I am a very basic user (email, Google Voice, youtube videos, mp3 player, internet browsing, navigation, and in conjunction with my Valentine 1 radar detector). I don't game. It may not be the fastest phone, but for my needs, it does well. Navigation with Waze and Google Maps works great. I get fast location lock upon launching the app. Camera is OK, but my other phone is an LG G4 which had the best camera in 2015 and still is excellent compared to today's flaghips. Battery life is OK, but then again, I'm not a heavy user. The phone is slim and light. I originally used this phone on Ring Plus, then Ting briefly, and now Freedompop. I haven't experienced any random shutdowns, freezing or other problems. It has run flawlessly. I'm a big fan of LG phones. Double tap to wake and sleep are features difficult to live without. Knock code is also an awesome feature. It's also nice to have a removable battery. I carry two phones, this and an LG G4.
