    Inexpensive Android Phone

I bought the Moto E to replace a Moto G that suddenly decided not to perform any function involving sound. The size of the E works well for me. I like to be able to carry it in my shirt pocket. It runs all the apps I use. The ability to add a 32gb SD card adds to its usefulness in storing files I use at work. The camera is OK for snapshots, but not what I would want to take important pictures. The only feature i miss from the G is the light for the camera. It came in handy to take pictures inside dark areas of machines I repair and was a handy flashlight. The Boost service works well for me at a reasonable price.

We got this phone for a really cheap price and it's really great. It's fast, the screen is great, however the cameras are really bad. There is no flash on the back camera and it takes unclear and noisy images. The front facing camera is a whopping 0.3 megapixel camera. This is better left unused. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this phone but there are definitely a few compromises that come with the price.

Motorola, like Nokia, seems to have gone extinct in the current age of cell phones. I found this gem at first glance because it was all white and it was a on sale. Yes, these are not perhaps the best reasons to buy a particular phone, but I'm being honest. The specs are pretty equivalent to others in this price range, but where it really shines is its great user interface. I actually wasn't sure I liked it at first, but after adjusting, I simply love it. It's like how I felt when getting used to Macs versus PCS. I really can't say enough. It DOES operate on the latest Android version, Lollipop, so I'm not entirely sure how much that contributes. (I have been using Kit Kat, the previous version, before this.) The two main downsides are that the camera has no flash, and that even though it has a 1.2 Quad Core processor, like comparable phones, it seems to run somewhat slower. However, I am more than willing to tolerate these aspects because the rest of the phone is so fantastic.

What an awesome buy for such an awesome and practical piece of technology. Best Buy had the lowest price for this phone sold elsewhere for more $$, This phone has all the same gadgets as some of those expensive phones. The only drawback there is no flash, but oh well it was a great deal!!!

Bought this as a placeholder phone for a Sprint MVNO. It is an amazing phone for the money. I don't think the camera is any good, but I didn't buy it for that. It's got a bright display, surfing is really zippy, and it feels good in your hand. Better than an S3 and would be better than the S4 if it had a bigger screen. Anyway, don't think any more on it.

Decent screen, camera takes pictures quick but no flash. Tends to lag a bit on speed, sometimes get a black screen and I have to turn screen off and on to get back to home screen. Does have Android 5.0 lollipop so that's a plus as well as the 8gb built in storage. It's serviceable.

Needed a replacement phone for my daughter. The screen on her moto g 1st gen broke. This phone is exactly like the moto g minus the led flash but she never used it in the first place so it didn't make much of a difference to her. Same screen size and physical phone size. An excellent budget phone, as a second phone or a first phone for a teenager. Feels well built and sturdy. Once again an excellent choice.

This is a good basic smartphone. My needs are low and I don't live off it as if I were a program from the movie Tron. I bought it since it was cheap and the service plan with it is cheap. I feel safer actually using this in public and not worrying about losing it or getting damaged than if I had a more expensive iFruit product that advertises "mug me."

Quad core, decent camara and ram, as expandable, android pure, and under 100$... Incredible phone for first timers. Be aware that is not 4g or universal GSM for 3g data. It should work perfect in the US, and limited abroad.

Great Budget Phone, But with Network Issues

I bought the MOTO E previously, to test it on the Boost Mobile Network. After some playing with it I returned it, due to network issues. Still, after a month, I bought it back, because of the speed and the versatility that the phone offers. Compared to the MOTO G, it has great speed and performance, not to mention that it has better memory (8 GB internal extended to 32 GB right now with SD CARD). The only problem I encountered with this phone is the issue with "drop"/not registered/not received phone calls. Out of 10 phone calls made to my phone (I know because I counted them on purpose) I received (phone rang) about 6 calls. That is 60% functionality on receiving calls. Making phone calls from the phone I was batting for 100% with no problems. This seems to be a problem with the network and not with the phone. So, bear that in mind. Text messages also got delayed in the air, arriving hours after being sent. However, sending text/SMS I have no issues... Battery life is normal. In Standby it last a long time, I was able to have the phone for about 8 hours without using it (not connected to charger) and it retained about 96% of the charge. The battery is an internal, not removable one. So, not having spare batteries is a little uncomfortable for me. I like to have extra batteries for emergencies. Bottom line, is a great phone for the price... PROS: 1. Good Speed 2. Good Memory (32 GB w/ SDCARD) 3. New Android software 4. Decent battery life (on Standby) CONS: 1. Problems with network receiving calls/SMS 2. Needs a cover to have a better grip of the phone. 3. Internal Battery (not removable for extra batteries)

I really liked this phone. It is great for the price. I was able to put it onto Ring+. My only issues I had with it is that it does not have a replaceable battery, no Flash for the camera (which I would not expect at this price point) and only has 8 GB of space. If you can live with those things. I would highly recommend this phone.

this is a very nice inexpensive cell phone. it's not in the same class as the moto x pure edition, but for a tenth of the cost, it's more than capable.

I use it for a prepaid service. So far I have not encounter any call dropping issue. The phone is thicker than the high end phone in the market and feel a bit small in my hand, but it is OK. The battery/phone power consumption is impressive. If you only use a few times then a full charge may last up to 1 week. The phone performances fine. I only install a few apps, so far so good. The screen and camera are in the average of phones in this price level. The UI is typical Android style, not deeply customized by Moto, easy to use and intuitive. Considering its price and performance, I would strongly recommend it if you don't have high requirement in gaming and screen.

My husband got this for me as part of my Mother's Day gifts...horrible!!! great memory potential(I use a LOT of apps), but I missed about 20 calls in a 3 day period and the camera(which I take a lot of pics of our daughter) had no flash!!! Ugh, we ultimately returned it and got a Moto G...no expandable memory, but none of the other problems either!
